Since the release of the new version of Tap to Pay, I have been encountering a persistent issue with my Moto Z4 running Android 10. Previously, I could simply disable developer options, restart my phone, and the problem would be resolved. However, now I am continuously faced with the error message "Reader unavailable: secure session denial."

Hi there! Square's Point of Sale app is available in Switzerland, but it doesn't support card payments. To process payments in Switzerland, businesses need to find a local card processor. The app can be used to track sales and run a business, but card payments cannot be processed through Square.
is this possible without nfc? because i have a huawei p smart 2021
No sadly the whole way tap and pay works is based on nfc. If you can't use you're phone as a card to tap you probably can't use this app in the tap way but id assume the link and manual entry systems still work as intended
I just get: "card reader unavailable: secure session denial" whenever I try and enable tap to pay. NFC is enabled and I've tried pausing the wallet app in case it's interfering

[Possible Solution] Tap to Pay wasn't working on my Samsung S20 , I turned off Developer Mode just going to Settings / Developer Option / Switch to turn off developer more on top of the screen then restart your phone. it worked for me

Yes, when you process payments with Square, they are transferred to your bank account based on your desired transfer option. You can learn more about Transfers options here: squ.re/3Hs2gvb
I wish that Android phones could offer a similar feature to iPhones, allowing users to use Tap to Pay without requiring any additional hardware connections.

Following the latest update, Square can establish a connection, but it displays a message that reads, "Server error: Square is experiencing server issues. Please try again later." Due to the frequent and seemingly nonsensical updates, I'm nearing the point where I'm considering switching to another credit card company. This situation is becoming quite frustrating.
I'm pretty sure that it's more likely Apple who doesn't want to play nice with everyone else, as usual.
It doesn't work for me nfc is on but when I go to settings hardware I can see my phone as a hardware but I don't see the tap on android option to anable. When I try a one pound payment it just say connect hardware

Is there any commission or any monthly charge for the business transaction ?
There are no commissions or monthly fees unless you opt into one of our paid subscriptions. You are not obligated to use a paid subscription. We do have a processing fee that is taken from each card transaction that is processed.
I wonder what other capabilities our phone can do. That we are not aware it does?

Can I use this for receiving money from friends? or is it for business use only?
You cannot use Square as a person-to-person money transfer, but you can use Cash App for that, bit.ly/41N1i4d.

You will need to be running Android 9 or later to use Tap to Pay on Android. To manage the settings on your Android device for Tap to Pay on Android:
1. Ensure that your phone is running Android 9 or higher.
2. Navigate to your device Settings > Connections > NFC and Contactless Payments.
3. Toggle on NFC to enable. Toggle off NFC to disable.
4. Ensure 'Developer options' are turned off in your phone settings.

You can get a Square Reader for cards that have a magnetic stripe and use your phone to take contactless payments.

Where does the money show up at once the clients pays?
A list of individual transactions and transaction details from a given time period. Find this report in Transactions in your online Square Dashboard.

This was working for me but all of a sudden stopped on my samsung a54. Says device not compatible. It was working fine. NfC is on.

on a moto g22, tap to pay and NFC is enabled, it says to hold the card behind the phone, tried holding the card everywhere and nothing happens

I have a brand new S24 ultra & it worked fine at first. Now at checkout it keeps telling me to enable tap to pay or connect hardware. It IS ENABLED & still won't work. I have deleted & reinstalled app., force stop and still won't work. Help!

Sorry to hear that you're both experiencing this. As of June 12, there is an ongoing issue with Tap to Pay on Android devices using version 6.45 of the Square Point of Sale app. Some Sellers have had success using Tap to Pay after closing and reopening the app. Please let us know if this works for you.

Is huawei p30 pro not suitable?

Does NOT work with S21 5G . App automatically looks for and doesn't find a card reader and then deletes option to Tap To Pay. Worthless feature on Square App with this phone. It's even more insulting that this phone is on their list of compatible phones. Ha
