Has Spektrum RC and Futaba been discontinued?

Dumb clickbait title. Nothing in this video at all about anything being discontinued. What this guy meant is that HE HIMSELF isn't planning on using them now that he has a different transmitter. If you were coming here for news about something, just leave. Not an informative channel in the slightest.

I guess could be a little click bait if ya want look at it that way. And No I still plan on using my Spektrum radios as well. What the title is supposed to suggest is that there are many people switching over to these radios because Big name brand radio companies while they offer extremely nice air (stick) radios they are neglecting to update the amount of channels and functionality offered to us in surface radios. This is a reaction video and first look video of the DDF-350. which is detailed in description maybe if you tried more to support the effort in some of us small content makers instead of trying troll us we could see faster advancements in the technology of the electronics offered to us. I have been in the hobby for 40 years and I can tell you we have been wanting a controller like this Dumbo RC for a long long time!
I have to agree, Spektrum and Futaba have to step up and provided functionality to support turning on and off the lights we install on our crawlers. Yes we can buy a digital switch but that just lengthens servo cables going to the receiver. Yeah you can shorten them but that can be a pain too. Just give a receiver where you can directly plug in a servo lead from the lights, (light bar, rock lights, head lights, etc..) to turn off and on via the TX switches. I have my DX6R as well and really like it allot but limited to just 6 channels and I have used every channel at times for my crawlers and needed maybe 1 or 2 more. When I was putting my CEN Racing snow vplow together I bought a Futaba 7PXR so I could get a 7th channel but soon discovered you cannot slow down the servos on channel 3 through 7 to make things look scale when moving, (instead of moving at full speed), like the servos on the vplow part, so I went back to my DX6R where I knew I could do control the servo speed and slow it down.
Great video and something else to look at outside of Spektrum and Futaba.
I paid 64 bucks for mine. $123 in total. Including shipping and 7 recievers.
The controller alone is easily worth $120...

The older dumbo rc recivers will work on this remote too.

Looks awesome. Dumbo RC is changing up there game. And radiolink is also with there new 8 channel. But I luv the new looks of them new dumbro RC controller. Yes with a 5 or 10 your first 2 channels are you servo and receive
I have the same aa battery's they are awesome. I use a mini 2s lipo now tho. I plan to get the same remote but I'm getting mine from banggood too. It's 100 bucks on Amazon lol no thanks 66 is better

Awesome radio I have one but it does not have dual rate ?
So far I havent found a way to do dual rates...I havent checked to see if there are any updates for firmware as of yet. Dual rates would definitely open this radio up to be used by a wider range of people in the hobby. But for crawlers, trail trucks and scale builds seems to be more than enough programmability. I will def keep eye out for future updates.

In what situation?
I look forward to testing it and dont really expect it to replace my controllers I use in racing. However so far I am impressed with the controller.

Yes I havent got to test out some of the speeds yet and doubt it will replace my race radios but for crawlers and trail trucks this radio should be fine.
Spectrum is going the way of traxx ass and I don't like em.. propitious systems ruin the hobby..
In racing Sanwa is still in the game though Noble is making a big impact
