I love how Steve, who is a certified guitar god himself, is just drinking it up watching Joe do his thing. You know, they're having fun, as it should be. 😊
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 lukather is my favorite guitarist! That being said for his ability his style and everything but he’s also humble and when another guitar monster like Walsh comes on stage he’s just excited lol so great!
You know I get real sick of people shiting on Ringo he never claimed to be the best drummer in the world but damn if he wasn't solid and had great timing. Oh and by the way he was the drummer for the greatest band that ever was The Beatles how many of you people that talk shit about his playing how many records have you sold?
Ringo was an absolutely amazing drummer... look at his back beats and the unorthodox way he drummed on so many Beatles tracks. A Day In The Life, Paperback Writer, Strawberry Fields, so many tunes. If anyone knows anything about drumming they would truly appreciate this guys talents! He was a left hooker on a right hand kit, truly remarkable. Thanks! 😊
Ringo was more than solid with great timing.. he was innovative on many tracks... that are hard to mimic today... When Ringo plays you know it’s him.. his personality comes out in his drumming
Considering Ringo is Left-Handed and he's playing a right-handed kit also did you guys know that he is the voice over for Thomas the Train I've also seen Ringo playing the piano to his song photograph and I believe it was the official video
@@BrendanJohnDoherty you got that right I basically said the same thing I didn't even know you. Said the same thing he looks amazing for his age lol.I said he's left-handed and he's playing right-handed kit also I've seen them play piano and a video for photograph he did all alone now I didn't know that either that he can play piano and I cannot believe he is 81 years old now God bless him he looks awesome I'm not stepping on your toes LOL keep enjoying Ringo as much as I do
It's a little hard to believe that he's 81 and still having a good time. Maybe the secret to a long life is not taking yourself seriously and laughing a lot.
I always liked Joe Walsh better before The Eagles. Don't get me wrong, his Eagles stuff is good, but I listened to Joe Walsh in the early seventies as a teenager and that was his tour as a leader/solist and his style really shined. BTW- Ringo is the best rock steady drummer you can find.
Gregg Bissonette gets no credit on drums but that man is a badass who can play big band jazz, metal, rock and roll or anything else and make it look easy. Perfect compliment to an aging Ringo so Ringo can have fun and enjoy himself. Joe Walsh is amazing in this performance.
I have the DVD of this concert. I bought it AT THE RYMAN. Was NOT at the show.. (Wish I were). I did concert security in California from 1987-1993 for Bill Graham. I worked Ringo's FIRST all start band at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. AWESOME SHOW. Billy Preston, Dr. John, Levon Helm, Rick Danko, Jim Keltner, Joe Walsh, Clarence Clemmons, Nils Lofgren and of course the driver of the YELLOW SUBMARINE... RINGO STARR...😎😎😎
I can't help myself but to laugh inside when I watch Joe cuz all I'm thinking about is when he'd be on stage wasted making his hilarious facial expressions and forgetting his Lyrics 😂
Wow, memories: I used to see Joe Walsh in person when he was with the James Gang, and I was going to Loraine College outside of Cleveland Ohio. I used to be 3 feet from the speakers... Now my left ear gets a cracking sound if I have the volume too high... But a small price to pay to be able to say I was there in the beginning. So you youngens if you are reading this, remember that you are creating your memories now to be used later in your life, and as Paul Simon once said "Preserve your memories, there all that's left you".
The James Gang were phenomenal! So many great songs, vocals, lyrics and of course, GREAT guitar work. Joe was a master of the slide guitar way before joining the Eagles. I heard Van Halen do "Walk Away" by the James Gang a couple years before they made it big in a big outdoor BACKYARD party at a house.... (Yes at a house) They did not do it justice.... The James Gang with Joe Walsh are the only ones that can really play Joe's songs with the right feeling. Joe Walsh is also a very funny guy, but I can tell by some of his interviews that he is actually a very intelligent guy.
Ringo as a bad drummer? This is the Beatles right? The best band that will never be duplicated but often imitated. There are so many things he does that un-musicians do not take heed to. He was a master of the less is more theory. Now the man CAN'T dance but drumming? Come on now! He played with 3 of the greatest songwriters to have ever touched pen to paper.
It really wasn't an edit as they have this down to an art. When Joe plays this song, he plays a guitar with an Open G tuning, and then a tech brings a guitar out and puts it over his neck quickly with is a standard tuning for the Talk Box solo. The other guitar is behind his back still on the strap. There are multiple camera angles on this and the band is usually just holding down the beat and a E chord until he's ready. It's easy to miss the change. If you watch at 4:11, Joe takes his slide down the neck, and then there is a camera shot form above. Watch and you'll see the guitar tech walking towards him behind Todd. At 4:17 you'll see Joe reach for the new guitar. At 4:22 he's playing the Les Paul. That's a full 11 seconds to make the change.
You could see they were having too much fun... 11 thumbs down, really... There must be some disco lovers out there somewhere... I guess you can't satisfy everyone...
Joe being sober is genuinely having a great time. You can see it in his every move.
God Bless you Joe, we’re glad to still have you around.
the respect in the eyes of Steve Lukather and the reciprocation says it all. Pure Gold
I love how Steve, who is a certified guitar god himself, is just drinking it up watching Joe do his thing. You know, they're having fun, as it should be. 😊
So its the Beagles......hehehe :)
Jim Morse or james geatles? Lmao
😄😄😄 yep and bloody awesome
Walsh is a Bad Ass guitarist...one of the greats!
Joe walsh is a master of his craft
Tom Lynch , well , the best is just that , a master !
His voice never change
Ringo is a left handed drummer playing a right handed drum set. He learned that way and never changed. Joe Walsh is so much fun!
What a rock icon this guy is!!! Nobody better on slide.....period!
Gary Rossington... I like joe but gary is a better slide player than joe
Love Joe too, but ummm Derek trucks.
Eric Sardinas, but Joe is the man. Period!
So distinctive and groundbreaking. Ahead of his time back in the day. Still shreddin' like a boss. 💪
you know your good when Steve Lukather does rhythm for you
and Luke wasent jumpin around in a coke fueled insanity!
And Todd fuckin' Rundgren!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 lukather is my favorite guitarist! That being said for his ability his style and everything but he’s also humble and when another guitar monster like Walsh comes on stage he’s just excited lol so great!
Ringo must be over 70 here. Now imagine your grandpa rockin on stage and still having fun doing it....
You know I get real sick of people shiting on Ringo he never claimed to be the best drummer in the world but damn if he wasn't solid and had great timing. Oh and by the way he was the drummer for the greatest band that ever was The Beatles how many of you people that talk shit about his playing how many records have you sold?
I can't dispute that Carey.
Ringo was an absolutely amazing drummer... look at his back beats and the unorthodox way he drummed on so many Beatles tracks. A Day In The Life, Paperback Writer, Strawberry Fields, so many tunes. It's so hard to believe that Ringo turns 78 this year and he looks amazing for his age
looks younger than his son
It's a little hard to believe that he's 81 and still having a good time. Maybe the secret to a long life is not taking yourself seriously and laughing a lot.
You know you're there when ringo fucking starr play the drums for you

James Gang...Walk Away, Funk #49, The Bomber, Midnight Man....etc,etc,etc
chevymon1 the smoker you drink the player you get. This stuff brings me back to high school days. Long ago and far away in a distant galaxy.
I had the "smoker you drink ...." on 8-Track...wore it out.
Yeah, never understood why Joe joined the Eagles and then put up with their bullshit.
Love Joe Walsh, he is a great musician and has a terrific personality!!!

Gregg Bissonette gets no credit on drums but that man is a badass who can play big band jazz, metal, rock and roll or anything else and make it look easy. Perfect compliment to an aging Ringo so Ringo can have fun and enjoy himself.
