Do some of you people not understand that this build almost exclusively exists to beat bad gankers in invasions? A place where if you don't have the right weapon to finish things quickly, then you'll be seeing endless summons and chugging?
Absolutely nowhere close. My Dark Souls 1 build was capable of killing even the best players in the entire game. This build just isn't strong enough, and will never work against someone with half a brain.
Idk about nowhere close. It may not be as good but it is definetly close, even vs the best of the best it only takes 1 combo to 90% hp someone. The only reason it isn't as good is because DMB isn't as good as DS1.
You know what could theoretically have stopped combos like this? A system that allowed you to tank through hits from smaller weapons without being staggered or locked into a combo.

its not a matter of whether or not i can use it. its a matter of whether or not its balanced compared to other weapons. with your logic if there was a weapon with no stat requirements that instantly killed your enemy if you just walked up to them would be balanced cause everyone could use it
i5uckAt3verything I have never ever complained about dying to anything unbalanced in Dark Souls. There were counters for everything. Giant Dads had parries, dark magic had great magic barrier, and what's happening now is no different. So yes, instead of just pointing out how something is unbalanced and ways to counter it, literally doing nothng but insulting the users is crying. Everything has a counter or can be beat. Literally everything. No amount of your complaining will convince me otherwise. Put in those situations, I'll be upset at myself for not being prepared or good enough to beat the odds.
again, you dont seem to be getting a point. its not a matter of whether or not theres a counter, its how many counters it has compared to other weapons. if theres only one way to counter something when everything else has like 5, theres definitely a problem
In one of Oro's streams like this one (it might've actually been this one, I don't know) I was trying to "hunt" him in PvP. Every area he went to I would go there and use dried knuckles to try and get him to invade. It finally happened pretty late into his stream when he invaded me in Lothric Castle. For about 5 minutes he ran around presumably looking for me, until he found me sitting at the bonfire. When he entered the room he buffed with Tears and DMB as usual, but then bowed and dueled me. That first fight I lost, I'd underestimated him and he caught me in the spin slash at half health. I wasn't salty about the Instakill or anything. He saw how I wanted to play and did it, he dueled. Had I wanted to heal and cheese him I could've, but personally that's not my playstyle. I'm not an "honorboru" guy, but I go by a single rule: They chug, I chug. They buff, I buff. If they neglect to do either of those things, so will I.
About ten minutes after that is embered, and used dried knuckles again. He invaded for a second time, as I'd seen how he played before, throwing out R1's to bait, and fake parrying, I was ready to fight him again. I wouldn't underestimate him twice. So we fought for a little while till we were both at low health, and he went for a running R1. Which I parryed, and riposted, killing him. I bowed as he died, and continued PvP-ing. But I wasn't going to boast or brag or send him a message telling him how shit he was, I just respected how he played, whether it was deemed "OP" or not. If you can win with it, use it, you'll find people who can't counter it or adapt to your playstyle and lose to you. But you'll also find those who will crush you and completely destroy regardless of which weapon you use. So don't just shit on someone because they use a "cheese" weapon and R1 spam. If that's how they play, that's how they play. Adapt to it and beat it. If you can't, well, try a different way.
+Muddels The mechanics in DS3 don't support poise. Toggling doesn't exist. Backstab cancels don't work. Turning on poise would not turn DS3 into DS1, it would only screw the game up even more.
You know Oro, Yukas, and Peeve all had a fight club (there's a video) and Oro still came out victorious a lot of the times? Not shitting on the other two, I'm huge fans of them, but can't deny Oro is very good too.
Man Oroboro has turned into a "no fun allowed here" type of player. I understand that when you see a phantom you assume that they're gonna gank. But even the VERY FIRST PERSON in the video tries to bow and he mocks him for it. I'm truly disappointed in what the "meta" for behavior is in this game.
well when you invade you're there for one reason and that is to win. the host has so many advantages on you. so going for the win right away is the invaders advantage.
+KingOfLegends23 good players include people like Th3Wh4mmy, Cheque251, FistoTheDefiler, Shy Cass, Laseyes, AHavelMonster, TheBaoBao, Skorbrandt, Tan098, and Bad Man Chief, just to name a few. Brandon is decent, maybe a little lower on the scale than that, but he isn't anywhere near good. I'm basing this off of what I've seen him do. The best to ever come from Brandon was a single weapon swap in DkS2: a game where the riposte window is fucking ginormous. I'm not saying Brandon is bad, but he's slightly adequate at the very most.
So your metric for being good is essentially apm? Brandon has a knack for finding builds that break games (He recently did it in Dark Souls 3, Doom, and The Culling). Does that make him good? In the Dark Souls 2 "Parry King Challenge" Brandon put on a clinic of setup parrying. Does that make him good? I am not saying you have to think Brandon is good, just observing that your metric for "good" might be a bit narrow. People can be good at dark souls in a lot of different ways.
+Joseph Pruitt compared to any other good player, he isn't very impressive. I've yet to see him do anything to astonish me. He isn't good, but he isn't bad. On the spectrum, he's a nice medium. He has some knowledge of high end PvP, but not top tier.

I guarantee that 90% are gankers. You know how I know this? Cause I invade the same world numerous times sometimes and it's the same people hanging out killing phantom after phantom. Also I sometimes invade lone players who sprint back to the bonfire to summon help. Now they're totally allowed to do that and that's fine, however any one who does that is a massive pussy. No question.

Everyone's bitching about how Oro exploits unbalanced build and no one about stable 1v4s when you invade as a red. And yes, some people don't have a choice but to invade as red because auto-summon covenants don't work for a lot of players, and overall covenants system is just punishing invasions. +Connor Tait To start the combo Oro has to R1. You can see he misses and then gets close to try again. When the first R1 hits that's when he starts the combo. I'd guess you'd have to parry the first R1. If you miss then roll because after the R1 comes the combo. I think 1v1 in a duel this build will get wrecked. In a gank players get confidence and start all running towards. The first R1 hits and they don't roll because they think they can resist it.

+i5uckAt3verything Duel charms remove the buff, meaning he is stuck with two sub-par weapons and the stats used for the buff are wasted. People keep trying to parry the weapon art, so not doing that is a good start. Baiting him would work, then punish after the spin. If he tries to trade against an ultra weapon with hyper armour they get to follow up and will knock him out of spin and smash him like a pancake. There are a couple times where he almost gets killed by an ultra weapon due to trading. These are the ones I can think of anyway. It looks really good (Cause it is) but most of the people he fights honestly just rely on numbers and mash r1. They just charge into his combo and obviously die.
destituodaemonis duel charms would do well against it. but for your other "counter" options, any good player won't fall for it. you can't bait the l2 cause they wont go for it unless they land the r1, guaranteeing the l2. as for trading with heavy weapons, theyre so fast you can easily dodge out of the hit even after an r1
You know these sellswords are pretty easy to counter. All you crybabies in the comments need to grow up and get good. Yeah he's made a build that kills in one combo but he can die in basically two hits too he only has 22 vigor and the range on the swords are not very long at all. So how about you guys appreciate that maybe he is a good player to be able to take out 4 gankers and stop crying about the build just because you know you wouldn't be able to do the same.
So what if he can? The weapons and build has other flaws to it, you sacrifice most of your levels into dex and faith. What would you suggest then? Nerfing the twinblades? They're already pretty shitty by themselves and the buff is a buff. You can either wait it out if you really want or throw a charm at him. There are ways to counter it just by how you play and ontop of that he can die easily.

The BASIC about gank-spanking is that there are literally just a few moves you can do safely without getting insta-deleted or lacking in damage. You can expect refined tecnique and variety in 1v1 duels , but not on gankspank videos, if you do you're pretty naive.

Do the people complaining not know about duel charms? All you have to do is hit him with one and boom, he cant do much damage at all, plus any ranged weapon like a halberd would completely negate his damage because he cant hit you. This build is not that hard to counter

After copying this build piece for piece, I've realized that it's really not that great. Sure you can one shot people, but good luck actually hitting them with those swords. It's too gimmicky, and half the time people are able to roll out of your combos even though they're supposed to be guaranteed three hitters. I do better with a 40/40 Claymore or CGS, or even the normal CCS.
I'm sure it'll be easier to land than magic. Even with my pure sorcerer build I have to *give* my embers away so I don't max them out constantly. All you need to do for Oroboro's build is land R1, then press L2, then press R2 apparently. That damage is *incredible*.
+Durk Derk if the host and phantoms tries to kill the invader even if their playing through the game, their still a gank squad. if the host tries to run and summon more phantoms that is an attempt at ganking.

How do you have fifteen skill points more than you should? im level 120 and I only have 111 skill points available to assign. But you have 126 available and you the same level as me? Am I missing something? To clarify what I mean; Oro has a total of 126 points assigned to vigor endurance, etc (not including base, starting points) but he is only level 120, so he should have 111 right? how is this possible?

i5uckAt3verything I have never ever complained about dying to anything unbalanced in Dark Souls. There were counters for everything. Giant Dads had parries, dark magic had great magic barrier, and what's happening now is no different.

I figured one would get tired of rolling the same R1 spam build for five years, yet here you are.
In one of Oro's streams like this one (it might've actually been this one, I don't know) I was trying to "hunt" him in PvP. Every area he went to I would go there and use dried knuckles to try and get him to invade. It finally happened pretty late into his stream when he invaded me in Lothric Castle. For about 5 minutes he ran around presumably looking for me, until he found me sitting at the bonfire. When he entered the room he buffed with Tears and DMB as usual, but then bowed and dueled me. That first fight I lost, I'd underestimated him and he caught me in the spin slash at half health. I wasn't salty about the Instakill or anything. He saw how I wanted to play and did it, he dueled. Had I wanted to heal and cheese him I could've, but personally that's not my playstyle. I'm not an "honorboru" guy, but I go by a single rule: They chug, I chug. They buff, I buff. If they neglect to do either of those things, so will I.
About ten minutes after that is embered, and used dried knuckles again. He invaded for a second time, as I'd seen how he played before, throwing out R1's to bait, and fake parrying, I was ready to fight him again. I wouldn't underestimate him twice. So we fought for a little while till we were both at low health, and he went for a running R1. Which I parryed, and riposted, killing him. I bowed as he died, and continued PvP-ing. But I wasn't going to boast or brag or send him a message telling him how shit he was, I just respected how he played, whether it was deemed "OP" or not. If you can win with it, use it, you'll find people who can't counter it or adapt to your playstyle and lose to you. But you'll also find those who will crush you and completely destroy regardless of which weapon you use. So don't just shit on someone because they use a "cheese" weapon and R1 spam. If that's how they play, that's how they play. Adapt to it and beat it. If you can't, well, try a different way.

Brandon is decent, maybe a little lower on the scale than that, but he isn't anywhere near good. I'm basing this off of what I've seen him do. The best to ever come from Brandon was a single weapon swap in DkS2: a game where the riposte window is fucking ginormous. I'm not saying Brandon is bad, but he's slightly adequate at the very most.
So your metric for being good is essentially apm? Brandon has a knack for finding builds that break games (He recently did it in Dark Souls 3, Doom, and The Culling). Does that make him good? In the Dark Souls 2 "Parry King Challenge" Brandon put on a clinic of setup parrying. Does that make him good? I am not saying you have to think Brandon is good, just observing that your metric for "good" might be a bit narrow. People can be good at dark souls in a lot of different ways.

And yes, some people don't have a choice but to invade as red because auto-summon covenants don't work for a lot of players, and overall covenants system is just punishing invasions. I hope you all crying scrubs will finally unsub and we will have a nice comments section where we can continue praise our savior Oro, because I literally lost all interest in DS3 after some hours of invasions. +Connor Tait To start the combo Oro has to R1. You can see he misses and then gets close to try again. When the first R1 hits that's when he starts the combo. I'd guess you'd have to parry the first R1. If you miss then roll because after the R1 comes the combo. I think 1v1 in a duel this build will get wrecked. In a gank players get confidence and start all running towards. The first R1 hits and they don't roll because they think they can resist it.

Duel charms remove the buff, meaning he is stuck with two sub-par weapons and the stats used for the buff are wasted. People keep trying to parry the weapon art, so not doing that is a good start. Baiting him would work, then punish after the spin. If he tries to trade against an ultra weapon with hyper armour they get to follow up and will knock him out of spin and smash him like a pancake.
There are a couple times where he almost gets killed by an ultra weapon due to trading.
These are the ones I can think of anyway. It looks really good (Cause it is) but most of the people he fights honestly just rely on numbers and mash r1. They just charge into his combo and obviously die.
destituodaemonis duel charms would do well against it. but for your other "counter" options, any good player won't fall for it. you can't bait the l2 cause they wont go for it unless they land the r1, guaranteeing the l2. as for trading with heavy weapons, theyre so fast you can easily dodge out of the hit even after an r1

You know these sellswords are pretty easy to counter. All you crybabies in the comments need to grow up and get good. Yeah he's made a build that kills in one combo but he can die in basically two hits too he only has 22 vigor and the range on the swords are not very long at all. So how about you guys appreciate that maybe he is a good player to be able to take out 4 gankers and stop crying about the build just because you know you wouldn't be able to do the same.

So what if he can? The weapons and build has other flaws to it, you sacrifice most of your levels into dex and faith. What would you suggest then? Nerfing the twinblades? They're already pretty shitty by themselves and the buff is a buff. You can either wait it out if you really want or throw a charm at him. There are ways to counter it just by how you play and ontop of that he can die easily.

Do the people complaining not know about duel charms? All you have to do is hit him with one and boom, he cant do much damage at all, plus any ranged weapon like a halberd would completely negate his damage because he cant hit you. This build is not that hard to counter

After copying this build piece for piece, I've realized that it's really not that great. Sure you can one shot people, but good luck actually hitting them with those swords. It's too gimmicky, and half the time people are able to roll out of your combos even though they're supposed to be guaranteed three hitters. I do better with a 40/40 Claymore or CGS, or even the normal CCS.
I'm sure it'll be easier to land than magic. Even with my pure sorcerer build I have to *give* my embers away so I don't max them out constantly. All you need to do for Oroboro's build is land R1, then press L2, then press R2 apparently. That damage is *incredible*.
I feel like Oroboro is ann actual Dark Souls character because of how often he laughs.

How do you have fifteen skill points more than you should? im level 120 and I only have 111 skill points available to assign. But you have 126 available and you the same level as me? Am I missing something? To clarify what I mean; Oro has a total of 126 points assigned to vigor endurance, etc (not including base, starting points) but he is only level 120, so he should have 111 right? how is this possible?
