jordan feliciano Unfortunately though the game turned out to be a total fucking JOKE. The only good in the franchise was the first game. And boy... it was Epic. In every way.
Just came to see a great announcement. Even with the glitch though people reacted very well to the diablo 4 trailer. The panels people were so dull. I also think it's because we finally had smart people talkin to them but didn't have a lot of info to give yet. So people were dumb founded and just taking it all in.
This is a different context. I played Diablo II during my childhood. Then, we waited for years thinking that Diablo III would eventually come out. But we waited for so long and so many rumors died that we lost all faith in a new Diablo. Almost everyone thought that the franchise was dead. During that Blizzcon event, there were rumors that they will announce Diablo III but few people believed in it. It was a total surprise that no one was expecting. In 2018, Diablo IV's announcement was expected. This is the main difference.
Tried to do the same, instead it pissed me off even more lol. Because those exciting days are an extinct species in 2018. They will never be able to excite people this much again.
I dont know wy, but i actually got really excited about Diablo 3 watching this video, and i was just playing it. The D3 in the beginning was really a turn down, but now, with the expansion, it is just beautiful to play. Just saying, if you have the game and dont think the expansion will change much, you are really missing out a piece of art.
***** Yeh, but the difference between D2 and D3 on the trading system, its the bots. Some people had like 10 computers farming gold all day to sell it, and that was another thing really hurting the game. Now everyone is forced to hunt for what they need, and the feeling you get when you drop what you wanted, is priceless. Also, we still have a 2 hours trade gap with itens, when you drop it. But, we may consider the fact that gold right now is not the same, anyone can make a shit load of gold with just that stone, so it may be possible that they bring back the trade system.
"AND EVENTUALLY YOU"ll BE GRINDING INFINITE LEVELS IN AN INSTANCED DUNGEON FOR 24/7" Seriously guys, this was the last time I had goose bumps and emotion during an announcement, after this it was all downhill. This announcement/sequel was meant to fucking change my gaming life, and they fucked it up to this 4 man instanced mess we have now. Better go get my butterfly wings and all my gear within 2-5 hours of hitting max level, then grind paragon to do solo instanced progression and never visit the world outside of bounties!
you .... you do realize that Diablo2 Multiplayer was pretty much the same, right ?! People were just grinding boss fights, that's all they did. Tell me exactly, dear people, what was 'so much better' about Diablo 2 ? Like... I loved that game, but always hated the Multiplayer part, it's way better in D3 imo.
***** Listen , Diablo 2 had an actual economy anmd trading. The whole world/acts was the actual games. You could farm let's say hell a1 tunnels for OSOC whites, or join BAAL runs for XP, do countess runs for runes. Al the while you have an open UI to view ALL games, filled up to 8 players. You didn't have stupid sh*t like massive cooldown and GCDS because Blizzard wants everything to be an MMO now. And guess what else? I could write an essay I'll just add d2 had actual pvp, open world PVP, your heart would race if a barb joined a baal run and you heard that war horn. Don't even fucking try, D3 is like a fucking toilet compared to D2, not nostalgic, purely objective. D3 paragon system is bad because it reward exponential power while D3 system had the GRIND to 99 but a 94 or 99 was NOT MUCH of a difference. It was perfect balance of grind/power ratio. Blizzard could have been smart and had 1 paragon 800+ maybe award 1 primary skill, but fucking 5? You'll get people basically double even triple in power, and we all know they just bot that paragon anyway. At least D2 bots benefited the whole community and no-one gave a fuck who botted.
I saw that reveal live.... 10 years later, I was lucky enough to watch live the reveal of Diablo IV...!!! Please let this one be what Diablo should always be!!

You're in for a big disappointment. The ground for Diablo has been set with the Diablo 3 engine. They broke several sales records with that game. They will keep this close. If you're a diablo 2 fan, you will be disappointed. We're getting a sequel to Diablo 3

This announcement was memories. However even though it was 7 years old I still got the chills when the logo of Diablo III burst into existence from fire. It was the day when years of awaiting has finally come to an end and the beginning of a journey that is many years to come. I know there are criticisms largely against this game and to be honest the Diablo III today was never a perfect fit to my dreams of how it should have be done. However, it did created this unique and obscure experience for me and had kept me engaged for as far as the game continues from day one. There were disappointments and there were also joys. The most important part of this game is that the legend which made Blizzard and us what we are today continues and is going on. That is enough to me, to know that many others share this dream of fantasizing world and to became the hero like as I do.
I remember this to be one of the most epic moments of blizzcon history. I know I was shedding tears of joy that time, even now I do, although I dont know if they are joyous or sad tears...
exactly. what a shame really. could you imagine a game that feels and looks exactly like d2 and it's expansion but with better graphics, more story and more characters.
D2 wasn't hard. It had nothing going for it other than it had a better replayability that 3 had. Pedestal's aren't the same thing as an actual memory of 2. Remember why you quit 2. Everyone eventually capped out on it, it took alot longer, thats all.
diablo 2 is hard for casual player like me... 1 misspoint on skill tree and u game begin to fall off pretty easy, diablo3 u can misspoint on skilltree and nothing happen on your gameplay

shut the fuck up diablo 3 had more colorful environments in some places but it was still dark as fuck and has fantastic lore expansion to the other Diablo games.
Honken They're going dark for Diablo 4. But since it's a Share World where you see players massacring demons left and right, it kinda make it irrelevant. One of the key things in the first two Diablo is not just the tone, but the atmosphere. You feel isolated and alone with last of humanity surviving against a legion of demons. Now you will see 5-10 heroes massacring demons left and right while you're traveling...
