This video is absolutely insane, not only did you beautifully compare the show to the book side by side, you credited the artists for art used, you even pointed out how scenes were directed and produced in the show and how the scenes where made, AND you even pointed out little facts from the actors themselves in certain scenes! WOW

I simply hate , hate Otto. If Daemon was as bad as his reputation he would have had Otto killed when Otto first started making trouble for him. He also should have had Alicent fall out a window .

You mentioned that all of King Jaehaerys' sons are all dead - that is just in the HBO show. In the books, he has one surviving son (Vaegon aka "Vinegar Vaegon" who is a maester at the Citadel. He is involved in the Great Council but isn't considered a suitable candidate.

I just can't buy into Alicent just hating Rhaenyra for that night out with Daemon. She just seems to absolute hate her, it doesn't make sense to me.
IMO a huge part of it is the age difference of alicent and rhaenyra. In the show they aged alicent down and aged rhaenyra up. But in the books rhaenyra is only 9 when her dad remarries to alicent who is 18-19. Personally for me that changes the dynamic a lot.
@@angelstarrknitght right I agree 100% I read Fire&Blood. But in the show the motivation/reasoning for her hatred(prior to the kids fued) just doesn't make sense.
well its obviously not just that. Hell, it was never about that even. It was the implication behind it and even then, that was not enough for Alicent to hate Rheanyra. Rheanyra's future actions PLUS the implications plus their environment together is what made Alicent hate her. Since its so hard for most viewers to understand this, it's safe to say the writers either did a bad job at showing Alicent's character or they purposely did not want the audience in her head which seems like a stupid decision.
not to be too graphic but the best way (in the show) for leynor (i bothched that) and rhaynera to cover up their misdeeds would be to have harwin, rhaneyra, leynor and whoever he's attracted to. Do the deed and when hes about to "finish" he inserts himself into rehynera and his child is conceived and no one is the wiser
But then we wouldn't have a book, now would we ‽

Thing is fire and blood reads like history book with certain biases so the information is very unreliable thus what the show runners made could be considerd as what actually happend.
1:27:05 the dagger scene that is exclusive to the show.
You think george is taking so long with winds because he wants to set that up (the heated dagger with a messeage which may be "tyrions" dagger) and now hes rewriting things to make that play out.
I only as because he mentioned hiw cool it was. And how he wished hed thought of it. Idk just a hypothesis ive had. He is a "garden writer" after all
I love how even today if a man and a woman are in line for say....president or CEO... Even if the woman has a leg up over the man, more experience or education or seniority, people will still weigh it out and lean towards the man every time.

Honest question here, so who is suppose to be the likable character? I personally can’t stand any of the characters and find the show fairly hard to watch.

GRRM himself has stated that if anything is canon, it’s the SHOW because the show is us watching the events as they “actually unfold,” so to speak.
If you’ve read the book, then you should understand that it’s an ‘in-universe’ history book of sorts, written by multiple UNRELIABLE SOURCES who have reason to skew events in an effort to make themselves & their side look better. The book itself tells the reader this over and over…and yet people continue to compare the book to the show and make statements like ‘the show runners don’t understand the character…’
GRRM is one of the writers and, according to Martin himself, is VERY involved with the show.
I agree, but I think they completely misunderstood book Daemon's character and having him murder his wife was so out of character compared to his book counterpart 😅
@@videobooks3personally I have no idea what book Daemon is all about but really the only thing that seemed out of his character was choking Rhaenyra, it was proven time and time again Daemon cares very much for his family and would do things for them that are unthinkable to most so him choking her was out of the blue at least for me but I guess you could explain his outburst to everything that happened but yet again still gives him no reason to do it and it just seems out of everything he’s dealt with this is what made him upset and lash out viciously

All these problems would have been easily solved if Viserys married his own Daughter Rhaenerya and produce a Male Heir. Since Aegon Targaryen married both his Sisters, there should be no problems with Fathers marrying their Daughters too. 🙂

I have kids and I'm happily married to my partner. And I still trust my kids more than them and they trust my kids more than me.
We had a mutual understanding that the kids come first. That's not to say I don't trust them it's only to say the level of trust I have for my children is that much more.
I know not all families are alike I was just giving a counter point to that statement 🫡
