I have to do this on my 94 Cutlass Ciera 3.1. In my case I’m fairly sure I’m replacing the timing chain and wheel sprocket, as the motor stalled and has not restart and makes an odd sound when trying to start. Hope I’m not barking up the wrong tree on this, but I know I have a coolant leak in this spot as well. Thanks for multi part video! Big help.
I believe it is difficult to get the power steering pump out without either removing the upper lid or wants the timing cover came away and eighth of an inch it pops right out but you have to remember to put it back into before you go back together;-)
Just make sure you do the right thing with the gasket that you are putting on. I coated it with RTV. I had to redo the job. I think it is supposed to go on dry, except for the very bottom 1/8 of an inch.
nice vid ..... yah im doing the cover gasket on my 01 impala 3.4 your vid will help a lot, what size are the bolts you had to get to fit the harmonic balancer, thanks
Don't don't don't give advice unless you're 100% sure because a little knowledge can be very dangerous for people that are not equipped granted I am a certified tech and been doing this for years but you're saying I'm not sure if this is a sensor yes that is the crankshaft position sensor and you don't want to damage it

Thankfully I have the GM Service Manual as well, found it on eBay very reasonable.
