Wish it had 6ft bed option
Excellent information you provided Dave!
Glad it was helpful!
Hey Ranger Raptor brother hope your having a blast with the Raptor
I've never been so excited about driving a truck but the Raptor is the only way to go
I told my wife I couldn't drive anything less the a Raptor from this point on
I finally got up to 800 miles now
Congrats! They are pretty epic
2.7 ranger tremor would be the sweet spot. Price wise compared to other trucks the build ypu did was great for a new truck. F150 configured the same way would be mid 60s I bet.
That's what I was hoping for. Maybe $3-4k less thar raptor
Ford should definitely offer the upfitter switches on all the Rangers!
I think you will see that with next years Tremor
@@AllTerrainNation I hope they keep some parity with F150 Tremor, that modular bumper the 24 F150 Tremor has would be nice to see on the Ranger
@@AllTerrainNation Do you think the Tremor will be out in 2025MY or 2026MY?
@@devilmonkey427i feel like we will see in for summer of 25
It shows on the website but dealers will tell you it isnt available still.
Given all of Fords recall issues with the Bronco, Maverick, F150 and heavy duty trucks I have a hard time trusting buy a Ranger. This is coming from a former Ranger owner and current F150 owner. A 6ft bed option would be awesome too.
Love my adaptive cruise as I use the interstate daily and the folding mirrors are great even if it is just a visible way to know the doors are locked. My ALT came to 48-49k lariat came to 53-54 optioned. Guessing we will see discounts once on the lots unlike the ranger raptor
Appreciate the rundown, even the color. Does the Cactus Grey shine as well? There’s one thing that confuses me about this engine. The power listed is using premium fuel but on the separate vehicle specification page it says it can run on regular. Another website glitch or different ratings for regular gas?
The power is adjusted by fuel type. To get the full 315 you must use 93
Cactus grey is a color you need to see in person. I think it looks great but the digital renders do not do it justice
@@AllTerrainNation I understand that. What I can’t find is the hp/torque numbers for regular use.
I have the 2.7 in my Bronco and like it very much. Good info Dave.
We do as well and bet it’s will be a beast in the truck
And that is the reason for the delay of the 2.7 v6 in the Ranger.
I have it in my '18 f150. 140k miles. Zero issues. Mileage isn't what was claimed but it is all the motor I ever need. Now in a truck that weighs about 600lbs less than mine.
thank you good video I have been waiting for this I am going to down grade my F150 FX4 ext., cab with a 2.7 I sold my boat so I want a smaller truck I really love the 2.7 super fast and strong I just wish they made an ext. cab ranger
Is the SuperCrew the only option on the Ranger? No Supercab?
yes one cab
Too bad they didn't decide to actually offer a fuel tank option that is worth a crap. The 18 Gallon tank is just tiny. I got the 37 Gallon for my '21 and it is a HUGE deal, especially if you're overlanding or going off road.
I finally got to see one of these new Rangers at a dealer yesterday. Nice looking truck except the roof line is to low. I'm barely 6' foot tall and I had to really duck my head down to get into the drivers seat. That shouldn't happen in a Ford pick-up truck.
I'm sold on the new Ranger, just wished they'd offer heads up display and both heated and ventilated seats. Hoping in the future this becomes an option.
I had a HUD on my 99 C5 Corvette and ALWAYS wanted it since then.
@@healingenso7923 Maybe later they'll offer this as an option or create a Platinum trim with it.
Hey, thanks for the info! Curiously, after your build it came close to 49k……why wouldn’t you just grab the Raptor? I know there is a difference but is it worth it to just grab the Raptor?
Limited availability and not everyone will want the extreme
Go with the Lariat package to get a larger drivers screen, but I’m really thinking that the Raptor is a hell of a bargain compared to what Toyota is currently charging.
I wonder if Ford will be offering a Ranger Tremor for 2025, and will they update to Ford's Digital Experience over Sync for 2025.
I have a feeling we will see a Tremor
More videos of your raptor please. 😀
They are coming
Now you can't option it with a 4x2. what are they doing?
They always have some quirks with their site
Anyone know if you can lay a 4x8 sheet of plywood between fender wells
It is reputed to take a full sheet of plywood, lying flat.
43k with no addons not bad 45 with tec pac .
advanced towing pkg. is included with the technology pkg.
No one has one of these yet when will they be available
Job 2 starts in June/July
2.7 in a mid size is sweet. I priced it with fx4 for 47k. That’s six grand less than the Tacoma trd off road that doesn’t have rear locker or v6….
2.7 is the only engine to get in the Rangers
Why?
SIGN ME UP....
Dave, i order a RR, any regret!
So far so go at 1100 miles
Wish they had the Tremor package for 2024
I believe we will see it in 2025
Ordered a 24 Ranger but the 2.7 wasn’t out they shouldn’t of launched this truck without having this motor available
The funny thing is your comparing a turbo V6 to a 4 banger taco and it's still going to be less 😂 Ford should be taking market share pretty easily with the new ranger.
That if they build more of them, as the moment they only made a handful of them compare to every other vehicle in the NA line up
$55k plus Canadian plus 9% interest. Ridiculous that we can’t get the 2.7 in XL.
@shettlock I just priced an xlt with the 2.7, rear locker and fx4 package for $52k. Not bad, considering the base nissan pro 4x is over $55k and the tacoma trd off road is $54k.
@@steve8803 interest rate is difference is huge though and I’m Toyota biased. Back seat might win it for ford though.
@@shettlock The ford is cheaper and you are much more likely to get even more off after negotiation which will more than offset any rate difference. Personally, I don't finance vehicles. I stick with the vehicle I have until I have the cash saved to buy a new one, so interest rates do not matter to me.
I was so upset when I realised they didn't offer it in the XL
The 2.3L is still a great option
@@AllTerrainNation ya but the 2.7 is more reliable and more fun.
@@brendank6324 Fun, yeah, but reliable- No. Look at water pump and head gasket issues on the TT V6. Once they get above 60-90k they can be expensive to fix. the 2.3 is bullit proof and proven at this point. No real issues, and easy to work on.
Look at a ford Peformance Tune for the 2.3. More HP at 330 and almost as much torque at 385.
@@chrisfrank8413is that pretty common on the 2.7? Or does it just seem bad because Ford sells a lot of F150s with the 2.7? My bro in law said his company switched from GM 2.7 to Ford 2.7 in their work trucks because the Fords last twice as long. I’d think the 2.7 would be even less stressed in the smaller Ranger.
and it's $50k with fees/taxes
Should I order now and get a 2.7.....
Or wait 6 more months and hopefully get a pushbutton start.
Or wait the 18 months and hope for a Tremor to get the Auto 4x4
🤣🤣
Thats a hard one.. I do feel like we will see a Tremor for 2025
