Years later, Detonator made a slide kit for the USP 9, still waiting for mine to come in... Edit: I got it back in July of 2021 as well as a replica of a the Insight UTL, so now it is complete (until I find some other thing to upgrade)
I see you didn't get around to a review of this pistol in the end... Was it a solid purchase in the end? Could you summarise your time with it in a few points?
I know I'm not the one being asked, but maybe my answer may help. I searched everywhere and waited around to find this pistol for about a year. I eventually came across one that was second hand, and bought it in a heartbeat. Over a year later, I can comfortably say that this pistol has been the greatest airsoft purchase I have ever made. I've owned a slew of pistols over the years, everything from built up TM hi capas, to old electric AEPs from the 2010's, and never once have I felt so attached to an airsoft gun. I baby the SHIT out of it lol. I've invested quite a bit of money into it, more so than any other guns in my collection. Detonator slide set and all. In my eyes and heart, it is literal perfection. This is the airsoft gun that will stand the test of time and grow with me over the course of my airsoft endeavor. 110% reccomend it. - It is TM accurate, I was genuinely astonished with its range and accuracy, even stock. - It is durable. I bought this second hand, the seller used it with green gas before me, and I still do today. - the quality and details of it are beautiful. Engravings are sharp, the finish is immaculate, materials feel amazing, even down to the mags, everything's well done - The only downside I can think of, is the that it runs best on green gas in colder temps. With its plastic slide, MY usp would give me pre-slide locking issues. In the right temp it performs absolutely fine. With the metal slide, it dont matter when, where, what, it just works. - The mags are put together pin style, so leaks do eventually happen. Not too big of an issue for me, as I enjoy tinkering. But if you just maintain, they'll last.
@@Mr.Torment that's very comforting to know I recently just picked one up too, but I was holding myself from using it till I knew it was ready Everything you said sounds amazing, I cannot believe the fit and feel of this thing, I've owned a KWA MK23/USP.45 and this thing surpasses it for how well built it is, it's actually astonishing I've looked around and the detonator slide isn't something I'm really interested in, I've heard the stock slide runs about 4K rounds before it can potentially crack, but that's honestly acceptable from me especially running green gas. The only thing I don't get, is the USP is the second most recent release from TM (behind the Gen.4 Glock and FNX 45) and there is absolutely minimal aftermarket support and general adoption from players 2 and a half years from release. But other than that you've given me the confidence to give this thing a good fielding Thanks!
Does the red dot hold zero fine? Mine seems ok tough haven't shoot with it a lot but I noticed if I gave whack to the side the dot can move horizontally and lose the adjustment.
Were you able to confirm whether Nineball USP Compact Hammer Spring fits also TM USP9 Full Size? I'm trying to see what kind of upgrades are already available for this pistol and so far there aren't many.
when you use the long trigger pull, does the hammer stay perpectly in the middle or does it get pulled to the right side? mine goes to the right when using the doubleaction trigger.
