same, binging this channel awesome stuff brother!
Agreed. This is my new favorite channel 👍
It still blows my mind that, even when I was there as an occupier, the Iraqi people were more hospitable to me than my own family. Even when I knew they rightfully hated me, probably wished I was dead, and had very little they would still give gifts, feed you and offer friendship. I wish Iraqis nothing but peace and prosperity and someday to visit again. A piece of my heart stayed there and will always remain there
Thats amazing
you are welcome anytime
Please dont say occupier. Im an iraqi and Saddam was awful awful...
This 🤌🏽 in arabic culture means “wait” he was trying to tell you guys “wait im coming with you” haha these videos are so entertaining especially getting to watch you guys interact with people i grew up around🙏🏽

The Iraqi people are truly amazing! In every vid of the trip they have shown nothing but good ass vibes. Makes me want to visit!
Iraq looks like its doing pretty good. Crazy to think of tourists walking around a place we were doing combat deployments not even 15 years ago.
As someone who deployed to Iraq it actually doesn't really surprise me. The people were all super nice while we were there. I had a great time with both Iraqi military and all the civilians we talked to. Most of the people we fought were from outside Iraq and came in to destabilize the country.
I am Palestinian, but I was born and live here in America. It makes me so happy to see fellow American tourists having a good time in the Middle East. Keep up the good work, you have become a favorite channel of mine!
I just discovered this channel, and it’s already a favorite. I watch a lot of travel vloggers, and most say the Middle East countries are the most welcoming. I wish more Americans would watch channels like this, rather than believing the narrative that our media and government feeds us.
Mannn these videos remind me off how kind people from Arabic countries are! Love the content. Greetings from The Netherlands.
Thank you 😊😊

It's the liberation monument that was sculpted by famous sculptor Jawad Salim and it was built on the liberation Square which was named Queen Alia'a square before the abolishment of the Monarchy
The burned out building is the Turkish restaurant which was a shopping mall between 1980 to 2000 then in 2001 became the headquarters of the ministry of sport and youth until 2003 when it was abandoned
It was the site where the protesters lived during the 2019 protests and it's just and it wasn't the only protest that it was used as sanctuary to protesters
It's the symbol of modern freedom which is located next to the symbol of the old freedom (liberation monument)
thanks for the clarification!
That's a beautiful history breakdown. Thanks!

Your Iraq vids make me want to visit so badly. But then I realize, while I might have a great experience there, my wife wouldnt be afforded the same opportunity.
Yep, it is just so weird to me that people this nice would treat women like that. Cultural context is everything.
Those mens will be animals on her. The are not accustomed to see women and hair.🙃

If I saw some foreigners from a country I didn’t like visiting me, I would be happy to see them. It’s the government not the people.
Same thoughts while watching this. Really incredible hospitality shown by these folks who have been through so much. I'm in awe. Huge contrast to North Americans.

r u dumb
u think ur vision of the world is universal? What would women like to do in such a chaotic place as a street ? They can do shopping don't worry, it's just that day they take care of the daily chores. Men work, womern work at home, that's just what we've been doing forever before XXst century
some woman answered in the comments, they just don't go to these chaotic places
Iraqi citizen here .. the women doesn’t go to these chaotic places like what the guy said before me , they go to the malls , restaurants, shops , jobs , coffee shops , driving cars, they go to schools and universities… but in our traditions they don’t talks to strangers generally let alone foreigners …. But yea there are limitations…. But they doesn’t live the life you think !
I've been stuck on your videos for daaaaays. love the content
bro your a legend. all your content is a1. been runnin through all em.
I’m such a big fan of these videos and I find them so fun and interesting to watch, but is any other woman thinking about how different of an experience this would be as a female? Like damn I would never be able to do half of this stuff. This is by no means a critique, just an observation I’ve made while watching the videos
Don’t believe that most men could do this either (or would be so foolish to try). This is a very risky venture, the guy is totally reckless (he’s young and feels invincible) but that equals extreme entertainment. You need a certain very outgoing personality to do this (to be foolish and trusting enough to do so). Some females can do similar things, for example Itchy Boots. Her trick seems to be to display no fear, to laugh when feeling threatened, and to repeat endlessly “No, I don’t have time for a boyfriend”. This guy is not very physically strong, he could easily be over-powered.
I has this same thought and often think this whilst watching his videos. 😢
that hand signal from the driver means "stop" or "wait" basically.
found your channel couple of weeks ago and just wanted to say thank you for this content. When I watch your videos it feels really real, like I'm your friend on the trip. Thank you for the laughs and inspiration to make bold and maybe sometimes stupid decisions xd.
This is one of my favorite videos of yours so far. This was wild. I almost pissed myself laughing when you were trying on military helmets.
These people make me happy. Beautiful genuine smiles on everyone. Love it.

also the place you went to "Bab al sharqi" is one of the poorest/most densely populated areas in Baghdad, which happens to be less female friendly, idk if you went to other areas like Almansoor (central Baghdad) but there you would've probably found more women than men.
Baghdad also is one of the few cities in iraq where women can dress more freely, whereas in southern iraq for example, all women are expected to wear headscarves and dress more modestly.
I was smiling the whole time💐💐💐
damn they are so freaking nice, its infectious
that "bombed out building" is called the turkish restaurant, its an abandoned building which was captured by a millitia after the protests, then afterwards a little battle happened bitween them and another millitia in that area, probably a month before your visit, the police didnt intervene lol, they just let them duke it out.

I'm Iraqi living in Salahu din provence which was captured by Isis. Even though my city seems dangerous because it was in the middle of the desert and was under isis, it's still safe and I see women and children at night. More secure and modern cities like Baghdad, Sulaymania, Mosul are totally safe. You're very welcome to come, just don't be too nice to dudes and don't walk alone around dudes, especially at night. If you have a husband or bf it's even better.
Oh man Iraqis are fucken legends they know how to live bro
In america that juice here in america that would be minimum 10$ for the raman juice pomegranate
The military shop video with the shop owner he was saying that practically people from around the world come to his shop even from america
people there eat with their hands because they always clean it or sanitize it beforehand.
The generosity of irakis and arabs in general is second to none , it's ingrained within the people , but it's an evil world out there and arabs have been getting screwed over for decades .

@zacm9747 we still have American soldiers there now! What are you even talking about "Not old enough to have seen a soldier". We as soldiers taught him that behavior lol. We as Americans don't colonize places instead we invade, destroy, and destabilize places, then we either flee (Vietnam, Iraq, Afghan,) or stay there long term (ie Japan and Germany). We don't tend to colonize places and just take it over as an owner.
