As a Vikings fan they took Herbert in the 7th round I think? and I watched him a lot in college and knew it was a tremendous value selection. He's a good player.

The Bears’ rushing attack was stellar, but I wasn’t fully satisfied with this win. Justin Fields needs to read defenses better, and Matt Eberflus needs to learn to use timeouts to save himself time to get into better field goal positioning
Fields is who he is. It's his 2nd year, no more rookie excuses for him.

He gets rattled and misses his guys by a mile when he does have to to throw to and open guy too. I was always defensive of him but it’s clear he sucks as well as being on a limited offense. He has no confidence at all and it shows.

@@devn266 I just honestly don’t think that’s going to help that much. As a pro quarterback there is no reason to consistently miss open guys. There was a play where St.Brown was completely wide open that he didn’t see but Kmet was somewhat open so he decided to make that throw attempt and he missed him by like 5 yards and got picked off. That fact that play ended up as an interception is just ridiculous. He will have time to throws at times and he still throws it right into coverage.

Morrow seems to be the only one who understands that a runner cannot run if you grab onto a leg, INSTEAD OF letting them get additional yardage because three or more defenders are all trying to strip the ball.

I know this sounds bad, but as a packer fan, I like seeing the Bears win, especially against AFC opponents. That gives them the chance to play bigger prime time games. I also like seeing the bears win and figure things out so the end of the season division game is really competitive. I also want better play out of Fields, I really liked him coming out of OSU, but he needs to put some more effort into being a smarter QB. He has talent and he's shown flashes of being a franchise quarterback, but those INT's are going to catch up to him and not getting down quicker will cost his health. Good Luck moving forward Bears!

That was a solid win, though Justin threw two INTs. The ground game also was solid, with Herbert putting over 100 yards; the defense held its own. More is to come. I kinda see where the new coach is going with this team. I hated last week's game, it was a total embarrassment, which is understandable for they were at home. As long as he beats Rogers in Chicago, he'll be cool with me.

Bonus points- I learned that Dameon Pierce has a sick spin move that has worked for any run he's used that in his repertoire of open field faints, jump cuts, foot/head/shoulder fakes and jukes. @@bowhunter8532 he looked pretty shard other than those two miscues. Much better than he did this time last year. And I'm going off the degree of difficulty on alot of throws he made to receivers who are not good at getting open to set up throwing lanes. Many of these completions Fields had to throw into multiple man zone coverage for the 10+ yrds or better throws. The only wideout who was helping him was Equannimious St Brown, until they locked him up in Cover 3 the rest of the game

that was brutal to watch. The one game my Texans actually played there best they couldnt get it done. Props to the Bears yall won this round. Damn i need my Texans to move on from this when the Chargers come to town next week.
Mills is not it. Last games, his decision making in the last quarter is what cost the Texans. If they had a decent QB at the helm, probably 2-1 or 3-0. You'll get one next year... Just don't take the one from Ohio State.

@@bowhunter8532 that's the bare minimum you have to be able to do as an NFL offensive lineman... run blocking is the first thing you learn to do when you first start playing the game. The ones who can both run block well AND pass block well are the ones who get paid big money to do so... the others either bounce around or get cut. No one wants to put a man making over 30 mil a year behind guys who cant pass block. Any top QB you can name right now I guarantee you has had olines with at least 3 or 4 who do both well. No top QB gets away with having oline that only run blocks well...

I had hope that Mills would improve coming into his second season coming off of a decent rookie season towards the end of the year but it’s looking like he has regressed. He leaves far too many points off the board and he has problems sustaining drives plus he can’t get the offense in position to score in the fourth quarter. I thought it was just a fluke in the first two games but it happened again and he gave the game away . That’s not a fluke , it’s a trend . I think It’s time to bench him and see what Kyle Allen can do . Can’t be any worse that what Mills is doing .
The problem is your coach.....Lovie is overrated .....he had one of the best defenses ....just stacked......and he made one SB.....and lost.....went to Illinois and ruined an already struggling program......nice guy.....not very bright though......Ditka was the last good head coach......Lovie will never get your offense into the top half......he barely knows defense.

@@ernestogasulla7763 it used to be enough to be dominant WAY back in the day. Even within the last 20 years it’s been enough to make 1 Super Bowl run and sneak into the playoffs a few times. But in 2022, it MIGHT get the Bears another playoff birth, but that’s as good as it gets. The Bears are long overdue for an actual franchise QB and it’s really starting to feel like a pipe dream that’ll never come true. The Bears are cursed to be the 1 NFL team that never gets an MVP caliber QB.
