We have holmberg, minten, Cowan Robertson.... cheap and time for the leafs to give them an actual shot... not like Sheldon's 1 game here 1 game there experiments, no stability in that system. Put them in, stick with them , let them make mistakes and turn them into what you need.

I like this player alot too. I think Robertson for Colton would be a good trade for Colorado and would help out the leafs a lot as well. Obviously they’d need to get rid of Kampf or jarnkrok but if they can do that and put hakanpaa on LTIR there’s your 4 mill right there. Makes total sense. Question would be… does Colton want to play in Canada
The Avalanche are in worst cap trouble than the Leafs right now. Trading away 4 million in salary and taking back 4 million in salary does not work for them.
Another cap dump contract that would require a sweetener and we give up nothing. When we dump contracts to free up cap space it costs us draft picks. Multi year contracts will cost extra. You guys have things backwards.
@leafsruleall because he sucks in the playoffs. I could careless about the regular season or if he puts up 200 points to inflate his stats for a big payday a la Fred vanvleet. Trouba is a scott Steven's type you win with guys like that in the playoffs. Kakko is a former 1st rounder that can make a case for top 6
@leafsruleall you will never win with a guy like marner in the playoffs sorry to break it to you. We have too many soft top 6 guys. Get some edge like a brady Tkachuk type player. Less points in the regular season not as skilled but makes a huge difference in the playoffs

Cowan and Minten are not ready for the NHL.
Robertson and McMann should be given big opportunities. Playing Robertson with Marner would get him 30 goals and a 5M contact next year.
Holberg and Cowan will stick, Robertson is right(trade me) and Minten will go to AHL until they unload Kampf somehow, they may have to eat some cap.

Getting rid of Robertson will be a massive mistake because marner won't resign after next season which will give him even more opportunity
