I think this needs more work from the devs. Basically it remains the same after stage 5 without any significant player progression. It would be nice if you could easily level up to around 80 or 90, and if the bugs became harder to match that, perhaps with double dreadnoughts at the end, like four twins as well. The repeating voice message after stage 5 suggests they haven't put much effort into it yet.
10 rounds is crazy. I hope they let you save and reload runs you have in the future because sometimes you have to step away and this game is so invested its getting hard to play constantly.
I came across this same map but the entire area was filled with Lootbugs
(Including their Boss version in yellow color and more gold inside.)
I mined aprx. 400 gold and 400 nitro.
But missed the rocket because couldn't get through to it. Thx to the crowds of Lootbugs
You can't push them away or jump through them, only kill them.
I guess its Easter Egg from devs
I had the worst bug on level 10 of a biome run. I beat all 10 levels and was standing on the ramp shooting bugs. Unknown to me the drop landed on a morkite reactor. The ramp pulled up, revealing the reactor and my dwarf fell off the ramp.
Not a bug but my unluckiest moment today, i took a spawn drop mod that buffs damage but slows you down unintentionally , i had stacked upto 120Nitra, and it slowed me down to a crawl as I watched the timer run down.
I love plasma mining turrets and true tnt mining builds. I feel like 10 stages can really make those shine.
imagine if at the end of the floor you found out about an ancient underground alien civilizations thats super advanced and the bugs you fought all they way down was simply guards
theyd get so much more lore in and can then put in mecha bugs, armored bugs, other types of aliens and shit, probably also make a defensive gameplay later on where you have to go upwards retreating from each floor before a nuke can be deployed or some shit.
It needs to be elaborated a little bit more, but I would say it's a good starting point... let's see what the devs have in mind...
I would say that if they're going to add so much depth in the game (they should do it first in the OG game) I'll be ok to pay 10€ for it.
Been watching your vids for a while now. I finally bit the bullet and got the game. Just before the steam sale of course. But I saw the latest update and decided it was time. Over 5 hours so far and no regrets. Ironically, I got the game partially because I started to disagree with your choices in upgrades during the videos. I felt like I would do better if I picked something different. But I had to get the game to do that. So I don't know if you take some picks to poke at your viewers, but it worked on me.
In rounds when it gets so crouded that I can't mine the entire gold and nitra, I've found it very helpful to invest a little more on xp collecting. Especially in the new 10-round challenges.
BTW I would love to see you try a round where you focus on levels and XP collecting. What's your record?
That dreadnaught voice line has been said every stage after 5 lol.
normally i play your video in 2x speed. and now i need the 4x speed to watch this entire video that almost 1 hour duration 😂
I think the reason you're getting overwhelmed by the hoards/swarms is because you're running away from your turrets. They're your main damage dealers, and you destroy the swarms when you're near them, but the bugs follow you when you walk away - meaning that you're effectively kiteing them away from your damage.
There is a new drop - additional random weapon, level 6 with random overclock.
So you can get 2-nd weapon in single weapon challenge.
Or 5-th weapon in usual modes
Do a dodge build. Using scout and with biome mastery aim for dodge artifacts from every drop. Would be interesting to run through all enemies.

Have you done the weapons mastery for voltaic shock fence yet. I am finding this weapons mastery very difficult, can't finish even the first level.
I beat all biomes runs. they're actually easier then normal runs. The best artifacts are Scanners and DRG Coupon. WHY? Buying shop upgrades = 1 level BUT it doesn't count as +1 level. Basically you run mining builds. I beat all of them with Driller class. You get flame turrets, get mining overclock. Take gold scanners and Nitra scanners. With new meta upgrades, Interragator driller is now #1 best class in the game. that's crazy considering it was consider wildly by community to be WORST class in the game. If your playing Scout, You get cryo grenade mining. If your playing engineer, pick Cryo+HE grenade then pick Acid or Fire grenades on Demo engineer. The gunner wants to pick Coil gun mining. With proper build mining setup, you can hit level 200 in term of total upgrades. In salt pit, i had a run where I was getting 600 gold per level and 120 nitra per level. I think i got like 5000+ gold and 1000+ nitra. I forgot check final gold stat and nitra stats. Biome goal are won by mining meta. I also hit new record for DoT damage. I had a boss that had 90,000 burn damage. By the end of the run, i killed twins boss before it even jumped a single time. 2 second boss with status build.
I did a haz 3 , 10 level challenge, the jumping twin jumped off the cliff and the boss froze there. 40 minutes wasted.
This last update show is something that nobody cares to much until then, economy are so important than the rest.
Runs with 10 levels pick-up resource scanners and mining, because the xp on late levels almos not existe.
Unless...
XP is still good. there is new artifact where if you get +1 level, you gain 1% overclock damage for -2 hp. this can be super powerful if you get red sugar artifact.
Heeeeey, the crystals can be now mined by the turrets! Slowly fixing the bugs!
The crappy thing is they made it where it's 10 levels. But you dont really get any higher in level overall. Like youvhave gotten higher the 69 in the standard 5 level layout. Kind of a bummer.

hello, please tell me what the parameter potency does in the game?
Increases # of stack a weapon applies. 12 potency = 1 stack of burn/cold/acid/electric.

I tried to click every xp gain I get and ended up the same level as your run.
XP gain pretty useless I guess.
