"I've stolen your vegetables... your salad is now DoOoOmEd!"
LOL.
friday the 13th in musical march it's like god himself created this to get the best of both worlds
10:15 "Just because you don't know what's going on, doesn't mean that it's not still the greatest thing ever."
Bollywood editing in a nutshell.
Meh. It's 7 Saal not Baad I guess.
Yeahh!
No one can smash genres together quite like Bollywood! \🤯/
Can we get a Bollywood month please? This episode is GOLD! Thanks Snob!!
@Aravind i like that this movie at least used the best scenes of Friday The 13th on beat from Crazy Ralph to the twist ending...just with a whole crazy alternate universe thrown in the middle!! I love it...
YES!!! Especially the older ones. Older < cheezier
I agree.
I say throw in some allegedly A grade movies as well and we'd have a stellar series. I'm ready with recommendations
No one can smash genres together quite like Bollywood! \🤯/
HA! The "I am a Disco Dancer" guy is actually quoting a hit song from a completely different (and equally weird) Bollywood film called DISCO DANCER from 1982.
But is he really the disco dancer?
jimmy jimmy jimmy, Aja Aja Aja
I like the cover of that song by M.I.A
If Snob did only Bollywood from now on, I would not complain.
Can´t wait for Part 5: Abu Shanka takes Manhattan
"Should he really be driving with the blurred-out logo over his eyes?"
Cinema Snob has never been to India.
Brad, you mentioned Bollywood Nightmare on Elm Street in this video. It actually exists. It's called 'Mahakaal' and it is glorious
Yeah, there's also Hong Kong cinema's *Evil Dead Vs Shaolin Monk* kung fu horror / comedy crossover B Movies (Evil Dead 1 + 2)
czcams.com/video/y85Y2n-Bqb8/video.html
Plus Khooni Murda
He actually mentioned it in his OG Nightmare film.
Jason takes the Miami Connection actually sounds like a good film! AGAINST THE NINJA!!!!
Jason lives for eternity, stabbing and killing both the thick and thin, Jason’s forever, he’s on top because he kills them all!
Good gawd I’m only at the 10 min mark. This movie so long the Snob episode feels like a Peter Jackson extended edition.
I really hope that there's a Bollywood Freddy vs Jason
can't wait to see the famous cornfield dance
@@phreakazoith2237 Except it would be in rice paddies.
"killing it's on"
There IS a Bollywood Nightmare on Elm Street.
And a Bollywood Child’s Play.
Slumdog Killionaire
@William Fentress look your tastes are
Are clearly American I.e dumb and ignorant I learnt it by watching
" love guru "
Forget Bollywood Friday the 13th. I want to see a Bollywood version of Riki Oh: The Story of Ricky.
The universe would collapse into a singularity from the hilariously bad awesomeness.
It would punch itself to atoms before it got released
"Disco dancer" was such a huge hit. No wonder it brought two phrases "I am a disco dancer" and "Jimmy Acha" into masses
1983 and 1987 were the only years in the 80s not to have a Friday the 13th movie
Dates or movies? Or both? :)
Mariofan 1985 That is nuts 🤣!
@Witch King Jason got eaten by Jaws while drowning
Actually 1987 was one of the years that had 3 friday the 13th... in februar, march and november :)
@@LuriTV ironically no movie was made that year part 7 got delayed to 88 due to the Freddy vs Jason rights falling through
There was no movie in 83 because part 3 was going to be the last one by the time the actual "final chapter" was greenlit it wouldn't be ready till April the following year
This is easily one of the best episodes of the cinema snob in a while. Omg we are dying here.
"...was surely the Catalina Caper of its day."
Captain America: "I understood that reference."
23:27 "Jesus Christ! That was terrifying! How am I supposed to dance to that?"😆
You haven't seen a bad hindi movie till you have seen the movie Loha !
Spoilers ! :
It starts with the Star Wars intro music.
WHAT!?!?! No way! Normaly these kind of movies totally respect copyright!
That's low. That's Turkish cinema low. I thought you were better than that, Indian cinema.
I had to look that up in fell deep into the designated shitting street.
When you go Bollywood Friday the 13th you go all the way
hey Cinemasnob big fan from India.
please review Gunda 1998
Now to wait for the Turkish version of this to come out using footage from the Friday the 13th movie.
Repo: The Genetic Opera needs to be one of the movies reviewed in Musical March in September.
Do I have good news for you then
This was an impressively odd movie. I'm still trying to process what the heck was going on.
Reminds me of The Apple. It's a weird movie too...
@@octogonSmuggler I wouldn't bet against there being a Bollywood Apple, out there somewhere
No one can smash genres together quite like Bollywood! \🤯/
@@zetetick395 Kind of like the newer movie RRR. It's an action/adventure historical romcom that's also about friendship with a revenge plot.
"Travolta-sploitation is a thing"
Say what?
It used to be other countries that exploited him. Nowadays, he is kinda exploiting himself.
After being stuck without power for days due to a hurricane, this is what shows up in my recommended. Thank you, Snob, I really needed the laughs!
"Girly Maaaan!"
Ah, I see you're a man of culture
And I thought Crispin Glover's erratic dance in The Final Chapter was weird...
The movie was far too subtle for me to grasp with all those stingers and dramatic stares.
Edit:
Also, the timing on that "Mario?" subtitle was fantastic.
Ever considered doing "Mystics in Bali"? It's a nonstop mindfuck.
Brandon Tenold did an excellent review of that a couple of years ago.
Diamanda Hagan did a review with Stuart Ashen that was really good.
Hmmm it's like the subtitles like to break the 4th wall..
Also all that DRAMTIC MUSIC!!!
*Stares dramatically*
I'm holding out for a _real_ Jason musical, thank you very much
Jason Dances his way into a Kill
Good news guys: Brad Jones is now available to rent!
TAKE MY MONEY
Gota admit it was clever to tie in the Friday the 13th episode with the Musical March in September, but that means we ain't seeing a Friday the 13th remake review until December.
Why is the hitchhiker dressed up like the female trainer from Pokemon Black and White 2?
Indian here: 7 saal baad means 7 years later.
Hopefully you did get a cut with actual subtitles. The movie itself isn’t bad if you stop thinking it’s just Friday The 13th but Indian.
The Board certifies films to be safe for public viewing. It’s the censor board of India. In the old days when a movie had a heavy plot theme, slightly sexual moments and/or violence they would cover their asses with letting everyone know the board said it was cool.
The cut of the film you got probably cut out the logo from where they got it from. Lol. Bollywood has the highest rate of piracy among films thanks to making most movies.
80s India was 70s America pretty much with a mix of 80s America. The internet helped to keep us up to speed.
Put a gun to my head, I never would've recognized this as a Friday the 13th movie. And why was she mad at her kid drowning? He died during the day and the...camp counselors? Dancers, whatever, were clearly in another time zone or something, since it was night time. Is she mad because they didn't use the Flash super speed to save him?
this is
an experience
“So Much for Pamela Voorhees being in the MCU!” 😅
Ouch.......TO Soon Snob, to Soon. 😅
It was like the creators of the movie were like "Oops! We spent too much screen time on musical numbers! Better cram in the rest of the Friday the 13th story!"
Actuallly I'm kinda in love with this country and it's cinema.
Now I want him to review John Travolta sploitation films.
My brother: “have you ever seen a Bollywood movie? 🙄They’re crazy; 4 hours long, lots of dancing that has nothing to do with the plot....”
My Indian boss: “have you ever seen a Bollywood movie? They’re great! They’re 4 hours long and have lots of singing and dancing that doesn’t even have anything to do with the plot!”😀
Lloyd approved this review. I can just imagine Lloyd doing bollywood musical acts.
Holy shit! Finally Friday the 13th film that make a lot of sense... oh wait...
What's your pp of?
21:20 don't go on the roof. Johnny and Mark are up there playing catch with the football
Bollywood Nightmare on Elm Street is good stuff too.
THAT SNEEZE KILLED ME, followed by Pennywise joke I can’t stop laughing
The credit sequence makes me think of Michael Jacksons Thriller video. I have been missing Snobs subtitles. Indian David Lee Roth should have a great chance of getting a spot on Van Halen. That is some great David Lee Roth jump on the poster. Mmm epic sound quality.
"Do you get to the cloud district very often? Oh of course not what what am I saying"
Now I know why this movie went wrong
A "Pink Lady and Jeff" reference? Yeah, that's not obscure or anything.
I got that reference!
@@Clay3613 You and maybe ten other people. Plus those that had to google it to pretend like they knew.
You should totally chek out Bollywood "Nightmare on Elm Street" called "Mahakal".
ACTUAL LEE...
"I'm a disco dancer" is another dance number reference...
I know..., nobody cares!
Also... Snob's subtitles have never been funnier now that I kinda understand what they're actually saying.😂
So in the Bollywood version the kid dies because everyone is too busy dancing? Seems about right.
8:28 "Why must this be so soap opera-y?" Dude, it's Bollywood. It's ALWAYS this soap opera-y!
Complete with overacting.
Well I'm glad they showed the certification card at the beginning . I might have confused it with the original Friday The 13th
5:35 now we know what happened to Paul from part 2. He opened his own restaurant
Can't wait to see them dancing and singing in space!
This would be perfect for a Kung Pow: Enter the Fist type movie... It's so stupid, so ridiculous and over the top, and perfectly obscure and foreign enough.
Come on Steve Oedekerk!
Kung pow reference,...nice
This whole movie has the same energy as the helicopter transition from Dancin' It's On!
There's another Friday the 13th in December, is there a Christmas themed Friday the 13th movie?
I now hope that "A Very Jason Christmas" is a thing.
Black Christmas?
I love the added subtitles
A weird Friday the 13th BUT OMG a great Speed Racer Movie 11:36
14:40 Did I just witness the birth of CZcams Poop!? That's a very potent sequence for video editing jokes, btw!
Everytime I see the House with lightning I keep thinking we're getting a Bollywood version of Scooby Doo.
The background music...
Oh God, the BACKGROUND MUSIC! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BACKGROUND MUSIC!?!?!?
I'm sure you've already filmed all of these, but I had a suggestion for musical March in September - Repo! The Genetic Opera.
I love it because I'm dumb and like catchy songs, but I can see why it's not a good film - having said that, Paris Hilton is surprisingly good in it (I get the idea she's just playing herself in a black wig and kinky clothing, though) and Anthony Head is amazing. Just in general, but also in this hit-and-miss trainwreck.
I love that movie way too much for my own good. I can see the faults and the goofiness, but damnit I love it. And that zydrate song is a banger.
@@cocobutter3175 I love the Zydrate Anatomy song too! It's far too catchy than it deserves to be for the rest of the film.
Now I want to see Brad review a Travoltaploitation film.
I want to dance with that man in the hockey mask....
Too bad I'm jail
HE'S BACK!! THE MAN BEHIND THE MASK!!!
I'm glad India exists. World would be too boring without it.
4:35 Had to rewind to this point 'cause something caught my eye...
Could this mean that there is a Bollywood Hellraiser??!! Cinema Snob, please find that!
This was a awesome review thank you for doing this movie 😎
Best original remake crossover of disco dance movie, kung fu movie, slasher in hotel and slasher at camp movie ever. Ha.
19:05 Did you add Billy Ocean's 'Loverboy" or did the movie actually steal-- I mean, totally legally use it?
Would you ever consider doing a Snob episode on Bible Black?
I agree
I don't get why people like... treat Bible Black like it's extreme or something. It's weird but it's also... I dunno, boring?
Mahakaal - Bollywood nightmare on elm st
Wait... THE KILLER WAS JASON'S MOTHER!?!
The song played around 19:31 sounds the opening of Aretha Franklin and George Michael's "I knew you were waiting for me"
So is Bollywood Jason played by Bollywood Kane Hodder?
I think The Great Khali would make a great slasher villain. Couldn't possibly be any worse at that than he is at wrestling.
My brain is vibrating...wow.
Why the hell would they make a bollywood horror movie in which several shots look like they're shot and scored like a mexican soap opera?
70-90 most Bollywood featured melodrama from 90s television kind in and we got rid of melodrama to t.v soap opera and they are still going strong
Don't question art.
Haven't watched some cinema snob in a while and ethnically being from the subcontinent and understanding the dialogue this was just hilarious. If i was a movie reviewer i would collaborate with snob just to tackle bollywood movies
I am genuinely curious about that "Sony" brand logo. Like, was there a legit branch of Sony in India, or did someone just see the name on an old film and choose to use it? There is some deep lore to be discovered here!
Now I really hope they someday do a Bollywood rendition of Alice Cooper's "He's Back (The Man Behind the Mask)". What is the Indian word for "JAIL"?
The word is "Karagar".
It's official, people making this movie were on one third the amount of drugs the cast of the ACTUAL movie was
Thank you for the Sony/Spider-Man joke.
13:05- All I'm thinking with this dinner scene is "This is like a Bollywood version of the overly long dinner scene in Ax'Em."
21:25 Indian Julius' death is less dramatic than his American counterpart.
“I’m mildly in love with this funkalicious theme music” must be on the list of Reasons the Cinema Snob is a Genius
Why does the musical accompaniment in this movie sound like it was recorded in gulag
Does Bollywood have An American Werewolf in London movie knock off? I’d love to see that!
This made my morning. Can't STOP laughing. 😂😂😂😂
I guess December is when we can expect the 2009 Friday the 13th.
Omg, PLEASE do that Jaws movie!
La la la la la I'm in love with lovely Johnny. Gouday commiday zuul divajay!
21:50 "you let my moves die... you never paid attention to them. look what you did to my mojo."
LOL WTF? 😂
I need this movie in my life!
Me after watching this: I want to see more Bollywood song numbers
He's back. The man behind the mask!
Oh my god, I swear at 17:12, durning the thunderstorm fight you can hear Rodan's roar as a sound effect. God damn how did I pick this up. Also one of the dudes look like Mattberry in Snuffbox.
