That little confrontation with Kokkinakis and Munar is relatively calm and respectful honestly. Really enjoyed watching them control their anger
Kokkinakis was not being respectful - he was saying "or what?" like 5 times trying to be a tough guy with Munar 😂 How did you miss that? lol
Kokkinakis is always a drama queen no secret at all
@@Server16116Well, when someone tells me how to talk, they had better have a very good reason. Dude was just standing his ground.
A bit kokki from Kokkinakis if you ask me...
@@seanhillery1231some people need a good humbling XD
Umpire Bernardes schooling young Rune was priceless
I honestly think that was him trying to help Rune out because in that situation, Rune really didn't do anything wrong. There are a lot of crowds that show bias towards their own countrymen and thats fair. What isn't fair is booing a player when they hasn't done anything wrong. I do feel that it was advice that was given to him because Bernardes has seen a lot crowds having a very strong preference for one of the players. Not defending Runes normal behavior but respectfully saying that in this situation Rune wasn't the problem.
@@miragowaikar98 He needs to figure out why he is always the unfavored player on court even though he is world no.6. His personality is annoying and it's easy to trigger him. Good way to entertain crowds though.
Interesting. Very similar to the Toth incident on the WTA recently. She made a public apology
these compilations low-key help me understand the smaller and less known rules of the game rather than the actual matches lmao. tennis tv always finding the best little bits of drama :)
Umpire should've explained to Ymer why he wasn't going to check the mark, which was because Ymer apparently requested it too late, which is subjective but still holds merit, umpire didn't explain that at all and only stated that he saw the ball on the line and looked to the other side which is why he wasn't checking the mark, which is obviously not in the umpire handbook. Nonetheless smashing the ump chair was a tad too far 😅😅
He said that to him, hence why Ymer told him that in the previous match Gasket walked over to the other side of the court and still was in time to call the umpire to check a mark. And that action took more time than what Ymir did. I would agree he was a bit late for the marked to be checked but these Umpires have such a blurry way to accept calls that sometimes it gets infuriating. But Ymer def overreacted.
Ymer didnt even request it too late. Just horrible umpiring.
It's not as much about time as it is the events that happened after. If the ball mark in question is the final hit of the rally, then you can take plenty of time to make the challenge.
The issue with Ymer's challenge is that he attempted to play the ball and then decided to challenge only after he saw that his shot was sailing long. You can't give yourself two opportunities to win the point. If he believed that the shot was out, he needed to have stopped play right then and made the challenge.
@@TheRafaelBond That is just.... an opinion.
8:29 I respect the umpire's thoughts. "I have to make a judgement. Maybe I'm right or maybe I'm wrong, but this is how I saw it."
He cant be wrong, when the player plays the ball and then want the challenge, because his shot was out.
@@MARTiiiiNx7 Umpire was talking about in or out.
Very accurate summary of what an umpire's job is. They aren't machines like hawkeye, they judge what they see, and of course when the call is marginal there will be errors. What Fokina said "You don't lose your job" was so shocking to hear.
Davidovich Fokina seemingly finds a problem to complain about in every match
And still the media didn't make a case about that and focused on Rune reaction on Madrid, puré bs
Fokina is using it to rest a bit, I can remove it from my head
@@diegosotomiranda4107 I mean Rune is significantly worse than Davidovich Fokina in that area. They aren't remotely comparable.
Every match he's out there Fokina round.
@@diegosotomiranda4107 They don't focus on Fokina because he's old news and not a major contender. Rune is a young up and coming star....there's obviously going to be a lot more attention on him
Ymer's frustration is totally understandable. I mean, what he said was completely right as well. Seriously, I've never seen an umpire who refuses to check the mark on the line. Regardless of the call was in or out, he could've at least checked the mark since Ymer requested it. If so, he wouldn't be that furious.
You can't play the ball and then challenge the call. Ymer only tried to challenge after he saw that his own ball was going long. You can't do that.
Ymer was way too late to ask for that
Fokina must have serious PTSD from tiebreak chokes against Rublev by now...
Yeah, my good dose of tennis drama XD
People just have to understand that Rune has what is known as "The Tsitsipas Syndrome". It's a rare disease, but the legend states: He who has "the syndrome" will have his balls magically gravitate towards his opponent at all times.
Is that why they're calling Tsitsipas gay now?
sinner is soft
@@smarthkaul3981 Smart call?
Poor Fokina... he's in half these clips
The game is Fokina round with his head.
So is Rune
So happy Holger won even though he was robbed completely in that second set. Also Ymer should not have done that but hes completely right. Umps have been horrible this swing.
So happy he lost the final, how about that! F Rune and f his fans
23:22 I feel for the poor ball girl
Regarding number 3. Rune let the ball go because he were sure it were out. (Rune were at the ball and could have hit it had it been his choice, but he were certain and right) Ref called it good. Hawk eye on TV (not used on the court) showed it very clearly out by several centimetres. Ref were wrong. Rune were right, it were clear out! Later in the same match it were Djoko that had a screaming contest with the ref because he got a pretty fast code violation for serving to slow but problem were that the umpire started the clock early. That umpire had a bad day. Rune won the match! It was a brilliant match where both Djoko and Rune played some killer tennis!
you know Djokovic was happy it was Rune yelling at the guy instead of him ...
@@drewcundari8773 Yes, he actually had a big smile on when it happened. He loves how Rune are like himself as young. Likewise Rune have many times stated that he loves Djoko as well. There are a very cute photo were Rune are 10 standing next to Djoko in relation to a kids show match at a larger tournament. Rune´s admiration for Djoko shows also there.
Zverev had already lost his doubles match. He was punished by being defaulted out of the singles and losing rankings points gained therein.
I don't know. Back in the days I played there just didn't seem to be much of an outburst of anger like there is today. Sure, you had McEnroe and Connors doing their thing (mostly for show IMHO) but nothing like you see today. Lots of unnecessary anger on the court today.
It was a lot worse back in the day, without Hawkeye - umpires were at the absolute mercy of players with no evidence to back them up. You just didn't notice it.
😂 16:12 Fokina celebrates and forgot he was mad about something awhile ago. HAHAHA
9:08 and 14:28 and 18:00
Does Patrick Mouratoglou only coaches bratty players? First Serana Williams, then Stefanos Tsitsipas and now Rune.
Cant see how Rune is at fault at any of these though. First, he hits the ball 0,1 sec after its called out, second he erases a mark long after the decision has been made, and third one the ball was out according to hawk eye
Serena is not a brat ... she's just the GOAT and I dont see why you'd drag her in this mess, particularly now that she's retired =^=
@B King lmao. Serana is the worst of the three. Did you know she got disqualified twice in the U.S. open final? The first time, she threatened a lines woman who correctly made a foot fault call. Serana then said.
, "I swear to God I'm [expletive] going to take this [expletive] ball and shove it down your [expletive] throat, you hear that? "
The reason she's on here is because she was coached by Patrick. Is not like I went out of my way to put her on the list.
@@ukdawg17 lmao, if you dont think serena is a brat you dont watch tennis like a tennis player should
@@notyourpgainstructor5139 I’ve watched tennis for 30 years. Serena definitely has entitlement moments.
The chair umpire is a tough occupation and has a big responsibility.
I appreciate them
No offence, but give me a break. That is not a tough gig. Chair Umpires make ~$3700 a match at Grand Slam events. Rune was right when he said, "when we do a mistake we get a fine--you don't." When a chair umpire blows a call like Mohammed Lahyani did at 16:42, nothing happens to reverse the damage, so I'm not sure where the "big responsibility" enters into it..
@@tswrench I mean they earn millionaires of dollars by playing what most of them like, it's their job, while Umpires don't get much money, don't get any fame, so players have to be calm, and give a good example of human being instead of being pussies, it's just funny how millionaires crying about losing a few thousands because they overreact, if you are better, you will earn what you deserve, if you are bad, just stop playing :)
@@CRASH9808 -- Based on what you wrote I get the impression that you've no idea how hard a pro tennis player has to work to succeed. Nor, it seems, do you understand the focus one must have to play that sport at that level only to have some guy sitting in a chair break your focus by missing an obvious call that robs you of something--a point, a game, a set, a match, your ranking, money, etc....
Apparently, you see players as a bunch of ooh la la millionaires out prancing around for a little exercise. Nothing is further from the truth They're only human with a lot riding on their successes and failures. I don't like to see them abuse chair umpires, but it's equally galling to listen to a chair umpire justify their bad calls only to have Hawkeye prove them wrong on a little inset screen on your TV--and that's after the point you've just won has been awarded to your opponent.
@@tswrenchWhen a player does a mistake they don't get a fine. The equivalent of an umpire's mistake would be something like a player missing an easy shot. There's nothing wrong with players getting a fine due to bad behavior.
@@MariadisHeller -- Ah.... You're wrong. Players do get fined for smashing their rackets, cussing on court, obscene gestures, and even spitting. There is no equivalency between a blown call by an umpire and a player making an unforced error (not sure where you got that notion).
What was the drama on clip 9?
Rune needs a mental coach.
I can't stand it when someone points with their finger in a debate. Use words, not gestures!
Is Bernardes Rune's Coach?
Rune rune…. Such a baby 😂
Not easy to play against Davidovich-Fokina!
Eventually, he beats himself. I've seen his game break down in so many matches...he just doesn't have the mental fortitude.
Where's the drama in the second one ??? (Fritz vs Zhang).
19:22 Djokovic: I used to involved in this drama Rune
Rune: oh really?
23:20 ese OZUNA es un rebelde
I love rune vs Djokovic ❤
OK but there was no drama between Fritz and Zhang.
Manner Maketh Man
What??? Nothing happened between Fritz and Zhang as far as I can see.
Mohamed Lahyani's line call court forensics suck sometimes. Here is another video that shows a Hawkeye view of the same call and the ball was out: czcams.com/video/_7M3J9R6oFo/video.html (forward to One minute, Forty-Five seconds into the video).
That was not a proud moment for him I'm sure. Lahyani was 'showing' Rune the ball had hit the line while hawkeye was showing that it hadn't 😆👍
Two top 10 finishes for Fokina....on this list.
With this Umpire You have no right to discuss. 😯🙄
rune hit the ball very quickly after it was out. nothing untoward
A Bais crowd happens Every where. 😢
Do tennis athletes have the worst temper, actually no, baseball and basketball players have fist fights hahaha
Tennis players actually have wayy more cool temper than a football or basketball player, it's funny how people talk about them like spoiled brats when footballers or basketball players tres wayy bigger tantrums and they are not exposed indidivually, tennis players have to endure entire stadiums and media scrutiny any Tony reaction they have, trowing a raquets, yelling, complaining, everything it's critiziced
@@diegosotomiranda4107 agreed, much higher level of maturity and determination needed for tennis matches, no teammate to fall back on, can't even call time out and talk to coach.
@@diegosotomiranda4107 that’s because every team sports players know the drill, pretend you are going to punch opposing team players and your teammate will hold you back. You get to look tough without ever risking real fight
Carlos was out of order giving that chat. its rune's job to navigate through the match and deal with the crowds himself., and rune is so immature its insane
Just Imagine to be the referee in a doubles match between Fokina and Rune vs Kyrgios and Kokinakis...that would be priceless...😂😂😂😂😂
Por eso tiene que haber ojo de halcon en polvo ladrillo para evitar estos problemas. Osea todos los torneos solo algunos los tienen ahora
Rune starts loosing: PHYSIO !!!! Fucking joke this kid
"that kid" is still making more money than you ever will
Tennis Advocato aint happy
I loved how Tennis TV steals ideas from other CZcamsrs.
ATP, clean up your umpires... what that man did to Ymer is a disgrace.
Ymer was late. He waited to see if his own ball was going out and then asked for the umpire to come down. Good job by the umpire. Learn the rules
@@magnata187 maybe you should watch a tennis match? Umpires check the mark after late requests ALL the time. Learn to watch tennis
Bruh Rune is such a child. Super talented, could do great things, but his attitude will make it hard for him to be liked. You can't play well when you're hated everywhere.
Where’s meddy zverev? Isn’t that a good drama? He surely thought it was gonna be on tennis tv bro
djovkic sick and tired of these new gen guys….jeez
so much crying holy crap
Did Zverev do the same thing and not get disqualified?
Rune is such a mummy's boy
Rune's wird's to the umpire are arrogant insulting and totally respectless. Such a behaviour should lead to direct disqualification
Is it too hard for a umpire to go down and check the mark? Isn't that his job to check the mark? Why don't he just do it? The only reason is he even don't know where the mark is.
Austrlians are the biggest wingers !
Norrie did nothing wrong - on overheads all your focus is up not on the opponent - it’s tough to know where they are and he apologised to Djoker
If you are playing tennis, not focus on the opponent is impossible.
Of cause you can see where your opponent is.
He didn't apologise, really... just put up his hand walking away, didn't even look at Novak. He knew what he did...
It doesn't matter where the opponent is. You can just play to score the point.
There is a reason why Munar is in a lot of these videos 😒
It's the umpires that are making Rune look like a bad guy?
Umpires and media for sure
No.. Rune creates controversy in almost every single match with his gamesmanship.. If these things only happened once or twice, fine, things happen.. but he consistently does this & rightfully earned a bad rep.. It doesn't really matter though, coz Netflix is just going to spin some bs narrative to make it falsely look like the umpires, media etc are out to get him & he's just a poor "victim"🙄
This is by far the worst tennis generation ever. 5 top 10 players out of roland garros before 4th round.
Rune is in so many of these sheesh. Doesn’t seem very likable
They should just use AI Instead of hawk's eye
eleni anthi dimitris!!!
Why did Sinner think Rune hit him on purpose? Because of his reputation?😂
Why would Rune hit a ball like that anyway? The point was already quite over
@@s.z.x.01 bro it was a close call he just hit a forehand, sinner just frustrated for br point
@@s.z.x.01@9:07 not a Rune fan, but ball was called out only after Rune hit the ball… probably he didn’t see and kept playing , while Sinner saw from the far court
It was the second time he did it in that match
That wasn’t necessary from Nole, Norrie wasn’t aware/looking at Nole and just hit the ball at him by accident
The thing is, when you hit a shot like that, you should be aware of where your opponent is (even if it isn't against the rules to hit him). Is a respect thing. Just like MMA fighters are careful about overly injuring their opponents during a match. Also, you don't want to be known for the player that hit another player in the face with the ball because of your unawareness. It's just not a good look, plus Norrie's apology was swift, kinda like he didn't care much that he did it. And that was what made Novak angry/upset.
you are 100% wrong. getting pegged by an overhead smash always requires a dirty look in return. norrie is an incompetent chump for not hitting it literally anywhere else on the court than right at djokovic. he knew exactly where djokovic was; you don't get to that level without feeling where your opponent is, even without looking.
rune is such a joke
Munar literally peed himself hahaha pus**
Norrie 🤡 🤡 🤡
Rune is the worst

Holger Rune is becoming more and more unbearable with each passing tournament. He antagonizes umpires, opponents, fans ... even his own mother for goodness' sake. He is disgusting.
Of course there might be a serious problem with the guy. This is probably way more than a case of anger management. Maybe his behaviour is a cry for help. Well, at least the people close to him should help him already, if that's the case. It's on them, too.
It's not that serious - he's a young dude, and an up and coming star. There's going to be ego and emotional outburst.
@@Server16116 So Rune is just a pr!ck, in danger of becoming an a-hole ... but nothing more? That's your point? Fantastic - that's so ... heartening.
If Novak hadn't turned his back on Norrie he could've easily deflected the ball with his racket. Hell, it may have even landed in. But no, Djokovic has to play "the cool guy" and walk away from the point as if it had already finished. You would never see this kind of on-court behavior from Nadal or Federer.
If you think you have no chance to return the ball, most players turn around.
Don't say if Nadal or Federer never do that.
@@djoinochi ok, show me then
I am not a fan of Djokovic but that is such a weird take. Shows that you are definetly a hater. It's because the ball is so short there is literally no way Norrie can loose the point unless he hits it in the net. Hence Djokovic saw the point as finished but Norrie somehow still managed to hit him. I would assume a pro would have better peripheral vision but maybe he just wanted to hit him.
Keep crying that he's the greatest
@@bigfriki You didn't watch tennis match so you didn't know.
Nadal or Federer didn't do that because they don't have sense of humour.

It’s so sad that a country such as Sweden with such a rich tennis tradition featuring legendary all time great players, Borg, Wilander, Edberg, true class acts, true gentlemen now only has a no talent, low class mongrel like Ymer out there representing Sweden.
