    you didn't show the most important thing, which is "How long do you apply heat to the felt for" It's obvious you lay it green side up, and press the adhesive to ensure contact, but overheating causes the felt to disintegrate.

    hes no flat roofer.he says hes going to put felt drips on the edges...on the particular roof they are upstands not drips.welted drips are what goes along the front where the gutter is.the clue is in the name a drip is called a drip because its where water drips into the gutter of said welted drip.

    • @Davey14
      @Davey14 Před 9 lety +6

      i know what you mean about you tube comments but seriously mate the guy really is doing it wrong,very wrong.he is calling the upstand a drip.he is not putting enough heat on his felt either.hes no felt roofer.a drip is called a drip because it goes above the gutter and its where the water drips of the roof into the gutter hence it being called a drip.the flashing he is trying to lay/fix is called an upstand and again the clue is in the name.

    I have no clue why you guys keep calling it felt. It's not. Felt is tar paper uses for BUR types of roofing and in shingling. Torch on is an SBS product which stands for styrene butadiene or bitumen styrene the main component is a fiberglass mat that the sbs is applied over. There's no 'felt' anywhere in this product.
