What an opening statement! I loved how he used the "You will be astounded....You will discover...You will realize...." while revealing the most controversial evidence. If I was a juror, every single time the prosecution presented evidence, I would be thinking about what the defense lawyer said about that evidence. I'd be thinking "Yeah, but what about....?" This is the opening statement every defendant prays for. I hope they use this statement in law schools as a masterful example of how to compose and deliver an opening statement.

he completely flipped how i watch cases. He took away the advantage of the prosecutor going first. Now every witness, I'm watching through the lens of a frame. Through the lens of what is missing/weird/wrong with their testimony. He almost made the direct questioning irrelevant before the first word of testimony. All that matters is cross. Choosing not to cross witnesses, means those witnesses don't matter. Best opening I've ever seen. Masterful. So much confidence. He literally has the victim's mother mouthing the word "Nope" when he says what the corrupt investigator says regarding investigating Brian Albert. Unreal. Makes it seems like the victim's mother is on his side.

obviously I am an extremely bias Free Karen Read supporter, boots on the ground protesting since last july, I am at every court date and hell bent on Karen Read's aquittal, but I do so agree with you about Officer O'Keefe's parents. In fact, a major part of the Free Karen Read movement is to find true justice for Officer O'Keefe. I suppose outsiders and lame stream media dont get that part of the movement. At this point, I believe that the O'Keefe family/parents are not yet at the point to realize that thier son/brother was un-alived by the very people that surround them as "allies". True justice for Officer O'Keefe is also a goal of Free Karen Read, not just her aquittal. Officer O'Keefe was un-alived inside Officer Albert's home, that fact is almost beyond understanding of the O'Keefe family at the time I type this comment.

Yannetti came out strong speaking in such a powerful way, compared to Lallys opening statement that was so hard to follow and understand. This trial is such a shame . I just can’t believe it made it to trial . I can’t wait for the defense to start their case that’s when we will get answers hopefully. Lally is taking his sweet time, we are at week 4 and he has yet to prove anything other than it was snowing , the McAlberts are a disgrace but think they are this untouchable family that is above the law , cops in Canton love to drink and drive . Nothing proving to me Karen did this , he’s stalling with putting Trooper Proctor on the stand and the longer he waits the more the jury’s going to wonder why Lally isn’t putting the LEAD investigator on the stand .

He was ultimately acquitted, but he went through a year of hell, and had to spend tens of thousands of dollars on lawyers. So unless things changed in the past years, if you are a first responder and have been certified in CPR then you have to help anyone in need. If there is an accident you have to stop and check on the people. If you do not stop and it is known you can be charged for not helping. It’s been a while since I went through the class but that is what they let us know.

The tail light particles remind me of the time when they found the murdered woman's car keys in Steven Avery's home. Similarly AFTER the home had been thoroughly searched by officers. But the keys were only found after an officer from the department that was ordered to 'stay away' had made his way into the house, against the order of the court, and then miraculously those keys came into view!
The ONLY difference is that Steven Avery could not afford the best defense team the Western world has ever known. So he rots in prison as an innocent man after already been set free from the clutches of the same corrupt department. Hence the reason that the 'stay away' order from the kangaroo court was in place. But that type of pressure can be willfully ignored by the police then swept under the prosecutorial carpet as an oversight, a typo, an Innocent mistake. That's how
    F
    R
    A
    M
    E
