Fender Custom Shop RSD High-Mass Bass Bridge | Fender
/ fender - Hudba
awesome! was really curious about these when they showed up on the CS pages.
I would love one of these on my 92 Jazz.
I want one now
Sweet bridge.
Why not going for the BadAss bridge, instead?
Does anybody know which one is better, or the pros and cons of each of them two (Fender High Mass Bridge and BadAss bridge), please?
I've got this bridge on my one off custom Jazz Bass and it sounds great. It also looks much better than the bad ass bridge.
too sweet & on my list
Nice to see some decent bridges being made for Fender Basses.....maybe next time you do a video turn down or off the background music
First I thought the RSD stands for Roger Sadowsky Design. The traditional way of stringing has the same design as the 'quick-release bridge' by Sadowsky
Amy indication of possible retail prices on these once they are available for the public?
Will it fit under a p-bass ashtray cover?
Will you make a 5 string version available?
I would like to see the price tag for one of these. It looks like a good design, but they're up against a really great bridge in the aftermarket, and that is the Babicz Full Contact. These things are the best new invention since the humbucker.
Hey there was Abigail for a short second there, she's quit now but she has mentored a new also female apprentice to do pickups and the work is absolutely unnoticeable in difference between the two
Would I be able to install that bridge on my Marcus Miller (mim)?
Where can you purchase this bridge?
How do they compare with the "Badass II" bridge???
That really seems like something I would want in a bass bridge and that I would consider when I upgrade mine. I have bad hearing and the music in the background makes it hard for me to hear what's said in the video though. Can you please turn up the voice or turn down the music in upcoming videos? That would help a lot. Thank you!
UPDATE.......
I took a step back and asked someone that knew more about these kinds of things. He explained how to shim a neck and how a little shim makes a big difference. I used a credit card size shim and its perfect. After a few adjustments it plays like a dream.
GREAT BRIDGE for the cash
what model of bass is this?
Yes.
I would like to see the price and the string
spacing
Just like Fender ! We make this nice part ! But you can't get one !!!
Just bought and installed the 5 bolt version of this bridge (MIM JAZZ). Looks great and is a solid built unit........but problems. I cant get the action low enough on my bass to make it playable. Not sure what to do now. Shimming the neck is out (would take a massive amount of shims). My only options are to put my OE bridge back on. The string guides are so big it does not allow the saddle to go low enough.
e and g string height is a real issue to be solved....
It's 2020 and I'm still rocking a vintage 2 saddle on my old CS Time Machine 55. This is a very cool design, and I honestly think it would be best paired with the scaled up offset guitar mute system Fender designed for Bob Babbitt's basses back in the 80s. That way you can go from max sustain, to a muted tone with a simple motion. Unfortunately, you can't order that as long as it's on Hurley's Signature. Even if you order a one off. So I'll stick with the old school P bass design until both these designs are open for us peasants.
Also cool.
Its 2024 and still not available for purchase as parts
where can I buy one?
You can't.
I mean, as far as I know, those bridges were never available on the Fender Custom Shop. I went for a Hipshot bridge instead, maybe even better than this one for my MIM Precision. And now my baby's getting new Custom Shop '62 pickups and a new pickguard.
Why can’t we purchase this bridge, it’s beautiful
Richard C Autorina cuz they will loose some sales
This is great for all the obvious reasons.. but.. on my old basses i have the original bridges still on there and they do all I'll ever want from them, so why bother. They got it right the first time in my humble opinion.
Part # for 5 screw please........

Thanks
So basically a G&L bass bridge, ok Leo Fender heritage still going
I would have bought one of these high mass bridges, but you can't, so I got a hipshot high mass bass bridge instead.
His was and is actually better. This bass bridge doesn't even have the saddle locking.
Any indication. Darn auto-correct.
These are terrible for low action, have the old hi mass bridge and those thick barrels prevent getting the action low, why fender didn't test these with real people is beyond me, poor design fender..
Learn to shim your neck.
THEIR NOT SELLING THEM... FKN TEASES
looks like any normal bridge to me.
This thing is worthless for low end bass players.
