@nikunjsaboo91, funny enough, many Palestinians had documents that prove ownership of homes and lands, some of which go back to the ottoman empire. Also, is not having a written proof that the house your family lived in for hundreds of years is yours enough to justify it being occupied? Why should Palestinians or anyone go by that logic and Jews who moved in to the same stolen houses don't?
+RichardGMoss also unlike Israel they promptly ANNEXED this territory, forcing every last of the locals to become a Jordanian citizen. Funny how nobody says anything about that flagrant violation of international law.. it means that most people don't give a damn because they can't really tell the difference between a Jordanian and a Palestinian, or most other Arabs for that matter. That's not good news for anyone fighting for Palestine's right to exist as a country....
Alfred Abraham That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You can't change people's nationality arbitrarily just because you "like" them. The Jordanians imposed martial law on the Palestinian territories and forced them to adhere to their laws and regulations. They were 100x more cruel than Israel. In 1970 the Palestinians attempted to revolt and King Hussein sent the Arab Legion to quell the uprising in the Palestinian refugee camps, they slaughtered thousands of unarmed innocent civilians. How can you say the "liked" them??
You know that's the same belief Muslims and Christians all share too right? The old testament (aka The Torah) is followed by all 3 of the monotheistic religions. With the only exception of Christians adding on their "New Testament" and the Muslims with their "Quran". Ironically Muslims follow the practices of the Jews more closely then Christians do (like keeping Kosher)
You forgot the part in which Israel wanred the Jordanian King not the join the war and the part in which Syria shelled Israeli cities for monthes in the DMZ.
i will by no means give you my name I really suggest that anyone who will ever think of making a video about Israel, just don't do it. It's contreversial, complicated and most importantly, different then 90% of the conflicts around the world.
i think it is the same as almost every conflict around the world. the only thing that makes it difrent is how heavaly it is coverd. and i agree witgh you there are better things to do in the world than to pretend to know history. it is amazing that everyone has an opinion on the subject and view themselves as an expert. and to remmy: i dont think you commented on this thread to have a discussion. if you were to give me some examples of "Pussy Tactics", especially of mainstream jews or offical state action, or threatening neucular war from the same i would like to hear it. i would love to discuss antisemetic propaganda with you, but i can tell you dont want to hear it.
Remy white Israel didn't really admited to have nukes... Anyway.. This conflict is much more complicated then most conflict beacuse it is still a 104 years old civil conflict. It just turmed out that one group of farmers established a state.
Remy white Acually, ther are more Saphardi Jews then Ashkenazi Jews in Israel, most of which are from Morroco, Iraq, Iran and other Muslim countries. You know, simply because most of the Ashkenazi Jews were slaughtered and today 60% of the Ashkenazi community is in the USA. For the record I am 3/4 Saphardi, of which half are from Muslim countries, of which one side was forcibly kicked and another left because of Muslim discrimination. Only one side of my family accually wanted to go to Israel. Khazarian DNA makes up 0-14% of Ashkenazi DNA. Most of the Ashkenazi Jews are from Spain. Poland was the only Christian State that allowed Jews to settle after the Spannish Diaspora and this explanes why there were 3 million Jews in Poland in 1938.
What do you mean by underdogs, all the nations in questions were newly formed and had no equipment nor military experience, arabs had numbers and Israeli forces had better equipment from the Americans, i call that level.
The international community decided to withdraw the peacekeepers and offered no protection to Israel. They have no right to complain about what happened.
Your final statement "the Golan Heights, West Bank and Gaza Strip remain under Israeli occupation, so the Arab nations refuse to recognise Israel" is incorrect. The Arab nations refuse to recognise Israel, period. From the moment the state of Israel was declared in 1948, the Arabs were at war with it, in one form or another. This idea of "we just want them to return to the pre-1967 borders" is nonsense. That's just the first logical step towards their real goal, which is (and always has been) to drive the Israelis into the sea.
You are right Jabzy Although Gaza isn't occupied anymore. It has a pretty tough import blockade to search for weapons, but there aren't any occupying soldiers in that beehive anymore. And the Golan Heights isn't much contested. It's just there so that if Syria ever wants to make real lasting peace, we can trade it back.
Jabzy Although his original point does still stand. Refusal to recognize the state predates the occupation of the territories. While some people may refuse recognition on the basis of the occupation, it's not the origin of those states' policies.
Jazby - you miss the point Pat Riot made. You can't come and say Israel captured these areas "so" they refused to recognize Israel - the refusal to recognize was even before the capture, it wasn't a result of it. The consequent peace deal made shows that by giving the Sinai it was possible to bargain for recognition (such deal only working because the Egyptians regained honor of getting their territory back).
Good video, but just a few mistakes. the French supported the Arabs during the 6 day war, and the U.S. would not get involved in helping Israel until the Yom Kippour war 6 years later. Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005, and Syria refused to negotiate over the Golan heights.
France was Israels biggest ally look at the Suez crisis. Israel had French guns and British Tanks notabely the Centurion. Also they had American F-4 phantoms.

I especially agree with the last sentence. UN and EU are pussies, their exaggerated human rights will ensure that in 30 years time we're gonna have Arab rule in at least 2 European countries. More than half of the "refugees" came because of bad life conditions, not war.
+Joshua Musch Well I used it for Egypt, Jordan and Israel, so I think that was pretty fair. Otherwise these are meant for people learning about the event, so I keep to the most used terms so people can easily look them up. What would you use instead?
+Joshua Musch "Neutral" probably means that you should always suggest that there's something wrong with Israel whenever mentioned. +Jabzy So i guess tokyo is occupied by the japanese? london by england?
When did Israël occupy this, when was palestine a real existing country? When did the palestinian exists? Palestine is a translation for 'Land for the Falestines' and the Falestines have lived in the country that is called the gaza strip
The One imposing a navy blockade is basically an act of war, its just like someone covering your mouth and nose trying to stop you to from breathing. Sea shipments is the backbone of their economy back then, and to stifle its operations is to court a war against Israel
Christopher The suez canal is a man made canal in Egypt. It is owned by Egypt and Egypt can do whatever it wants with it. It is not an international waterway. By this same logic, an embargo or sanctions are acts of war. No, I'm not muslim, no I'm not an anti semite. Right is right and wrong is wrong- as a sovereign nation Egypt is within its rights to restrict access to its man made canals whenever it wants. As per international law... The straights of gibralter were still open to Israel btw.
Christopher If a nation doesn't like actions one nation has done, it is within that nation's rights to restrict commercial access to its territory- including man made canals. Israel could've tried to working out a compromise or exited the mediteranean through the natural waterway at gibralter as mediteranean nations have been doing for millennia. Instead they invade their neighbor and occupied the canal.

The Israeli military can kick some serious ass with or without foreign aid.
Dmitri Kozlowsky A country that might have 100+ nukes poses no threat, gj. Isreal has been murdering german officers to other types of civilians, in bombing, executions etc. Isreal has started 3+ wars with its niegbourhs. the first was maybe not but, that only happened because refugees that had been there for a year decided to say that place is thier country.
Dmitri Kozlowsky yeah but lets say if the refugees in europe form thier own nation, do you think the europeans will be ok with that? no right. then the first war would make sense. The second war, Isreal attacked a jordanian held village but failed. USSR informed the arabs that isreal was massing its troops, in response the arabs prede for a ground war. And then egypt blockaded the strait ot tiran, which is really tiny, and would be the same as egypt someones ships go through thier canal. And because of this Isreal send its entire airforce to destroy the arab airforces on ground which was succesful. and took over a bit of land. Aressting and executing low ranked officers is still not cool.
Good video. I wish I could say I'm surprised that even this extremely (almost placatingly) unbiased video is garnering controversy already only a few hours after being posted. One thing you did miss, however, is that Jordan and Israel have also had a peace treaty since 1994, and their relations are mostly quite amicable with Jordan recognising Israel as a legitimate state. Of the three main nations that fought Israel in the 6 Day War only Syria (which despite the civil war is still nominally ruled by the Assad regime) is not at peace with Israel.
same here, im pro-israel and when clicking on this i was expecting a real pro-palestine/islamist propaganda but it was fairly balanced altough i would have added some things regarding the attitude of the arab league and their genocidal goals. nice work:) and if we really wanna find the reason for this Israel vs Palesine we have to look to the islamic ideology and the ottoman empire, ofc there was no palestine or israel before those 2 states were created in 1947. it was a region in the ottoman empire before 1920's with ppl of many differnt religions
You ever read the definition of the word genocide? Because calling the Nakba one makes me think you have no idea what that word means. Also, PS, my comment didn't have anything to do with the 1948 war, so thanks for the fallacy.
Personally, I don't think Israel should have given up the Sinai. First off, it gave them oil rigs, which would've made Israel richer, considering its lack of natural resources to export anyways. And secondly, since the Sinai basically doubles Israel in size, citizens would feel more confident and less cramped, as they wouldn't be "stuck" in such a small area that Israel is. I guess peace is what Israel wanted though, so be it.
Israel could not have made peace with Egypt without giving back the Sinai. Also the Sinai is uninhabitable, it would just act as a buffer, but the peace agreement saw the Sinai demilitarized so it acts as a buffer anyways.
Agreed, another interesting historical overview, thanks. I don't imagine any look at this conflict can be neutral enough and still say something meaningful! Oh, by the way is it MiG-23s this time?

the funny thing is in Egypt we are taught that we won the war and took back seni after crushing the israils we then we proposed the peace treaty that is why we got the noble peace prize, we acknowledged them as a nation as they possessed what most nations have a government and an army.
What no one really talks about is that before WWII, Arabs, Jews, and Christians all lived in that area in relative peace. Each acknowledging Jerusalem as a holy city and sharing it. It wasn't until the UK came in and carved up the area into Jewish and Arab territories that all these skirmishes began to happen. The UK initially said they would help prevent these battles, however once they got what they wanted they left the area leaving the population to fend for itself. It's rather convenient for the UK that no one bothers to talk about that since everyone is so focused on whether the Jews or Arabs own the land.
@LookingIntoTheAbyss All of that happened AFTER WWII and the UK dividing up Jerusalem. It would be on topic if you pointed out some Arab vs Jewish event that happened BEFORE that time period. Describing these (post WWII) events further proves the chaos created by Britain's meddling for selfish gain.
no, egypt was at war in Yemen (north yemen civil war 1962-1968) against saudi arabia, nasser could not win the war so the six day war was a good escape for nasser, because then nasser could be friends again with saudi arabia and get support from them for the war against israel and clear his name because of the failed war in Yemen. Wars against israel are for the most part because of domestic political problems in arab countries.

+HeadofIbis I think the Palestinians were fine under Jordanian rule because at least they were ruled by people who liked like them.
Why 6 days war?
God created the universe in 6 days and rested on 7th day! The God of Israel lives.
Logical scientific proven stuff you're saying, isn't it ?

You know that's the same belief Muslims and Christians all share too right? The old testament (aka The Torah) is followed by all 3 of the monotheistic religions. With the only exception of Christians adding on their "New Testament" and the Muslims with their "Quran". Ironically Muslims follow the practices of the Jews more closely then Christians do (like keeping Kosher)

Bolter21 the whole video was bad man...
i will by no means give you my name I really suggest that anyone who will ever think of making a video about Israel, just don't do it.

Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty of 1979 - Egypt recognises Israel. Jordan recognised Israel in 1994.
You are right Jabzy
Although Gaza isn't occupied anymore. It has a pretty tough import blockade to search for weapons, but there aren't any occupying soldiers in that beehive anymore.
And the Golan Heights isn't much contested. It's just there so that if Syria ever wants to make real lasting peace, we can trade it back.
That's only 2 countries out of 22 countries...

6 DAYS OF FIRE, 1 DAY OF REST
Good video, but just a few mistakes. the French supported the Arabs during the 6 day war, and the U.S. would not get involved in helping Israel until the Yom Kippour war 6 years later.
Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005, and Syria refused to negotiate over the Golan heights.
France was Israels biggest ally look at the Suez crisis. Israel had French guns and British Tanks notabely the Centurion. Also they had American F-4 phantoms.
Calemb Jackman yes, but they betrayed us in 1967.
Beni Habibi why did France support the Arabs after such good relations in the 1950s?
Calemb Jackman a number of Reasons. Oil and the fact that the Arabs have so much more political power than Israel are two of them.
+Beni Habibi Isn't the fact that they own so much oil the very reason they have so much political influence? Btw, we gradually see even that political influence declining.

The one who started the war lost the war!

Dmitri Kozlowsky wierd how they made so many enemies by being lovers with isreal.
Aressting and executing low ranked officers is still not cool.
odd how you side with junior German officers against israel but side with surrounding Arab states over a small state.
Love the art style! Cheers

NounOzlos I'm hoping to do more on the conflict so I'll speak more about that.
same here, im pro-israel and when clicking on this i was expecting a real pro-palestine/islamist propaganda but it was fairly balanced altough i would have added some things regarding the attitude of the arab league and their genocidal goals. nice work:)
and if we really wanna find the reason for this Israel vs Palesine we have to look to the islamic ideology and the ottoman empire, ofc there was no palestine or israel before those 2 states were created in 1947. it was a region in the ottoman empire before 1920's with ppl of many differnt religions
The Arabs had no genocidal goals, this video needed no improvement.

I like how most of the video was about the build up instead of actual war
lol give me a full version of this historical significant event no matter how long because I would watch it over and over ............
Talk about a military feat!

Great video and very impartial (good job on that front) but just one small thing the Israelis no longer control Gaza they pulled out in 2005.
Israel has the best pilots in the world and they put in major work during the war.
Ha! So the soviets provoked and organized this war lying to Naseer?
He would never attack Israel if it wasn't for them.
Or maybe someone else would have taken control of the war against israel. Either way, history might have been quite different. Perhaps no war at all.
no, egypt was at war in Yemen (north yemen civil war 1962-1968) against saudi arabia, nasser could not win the war so the six day war was a good escape for nasser, because then nasser could be friends again with saudi arabia and get support from them for the war against israel and clear his name because of the failed war in Yemen. Wars against israel are for the most part because of domestic political problems in arab countries.
Seems like a pretty Soviet thing to do.
