Whether it's upbeat like Float On, more bombastic like Ocean Breathes Salty, more directed like Spitting Venom, mellow like Dramamine, bopin' and bangin' like The View, or avant-garde like Cowboy Dan (Took me a while to warm up to, but now it's one of my favorites)...There always seems to be a bit of something different sprinkled into each of their songs...and I suppose magic is as good a term as any...

"Float On" was a big hit for Modest Mouse back in 2004. It reminds me of my brother's girlfriend back then. She really liked the song. Then she dumped him for another guy, moved to Idaho, and more or less drank herself to death. RIP.
