    funny thing about these carbs and similar ones by Johnson/ Evinrude/ aka OMC is that the original corky floats is that it can be installed flipflop! and will run both ways! a friend helping rebuild the carb installed float upside down! I took a pic of the carb when I removed it again. Good thing I did because if I didn't have the photo it would have been frustrating troubleshooting! Measure Twice cut once and regardless of skill level or experience take photos of things ! the ego can be tricky ! the plastic replacement floats only install one way its seems thanks Cajuncook!

    i did the same thing…forgot to the put the gasket on and was trying to figure out why it wouldn't work lol
