  • My entire life, I've heard stories about Bigfoot roaming the Southern Indiana woods, and I must admit, I've looked over my shoulder, more than a few times, as I've hiked down secluded trails!
This film explores the many Bigfoot sightings in Southern Indiana, maybe even where you live or hike today! This is an eye-opening dive into the history, folklore, theories and credible witness stories, that makes a person truly wonder what’s out there, in the very deep woods.

I grew up in Shelby county, a small town called Waldron. During the summer of 1987, I had a couple of encounters with Bigfoot.
I was walking the railroad tracks with 3 friends, heading towards Shelbyville, around 11pm. We got about a quarter mile out and heard something walking through the brush at the bottom of the embankment. We'd stop, it would stop. We'd speed up, it would speed up. We got to the railroad bridge and crossed it, figuring that whatever it was would be stopped by the creek. We stopped to decide whether to go back or continue. Since whatever was following us was on the other side of the creek, we decided to continue. Right after we started walking, got maybe 30 yards, and we hear splashing. It was coming across the creek and it was moving fast. We were so stunned, we just stood there staring back toward the bridge. About half way between us and the bridge, this thing came running up the embankment, hurdled the tracks, landed at the bottom of the embankment on the other side, ran through the brush, jumped a fence, and ran through a cow pasture until it was out of sight. It was at least 7 foot tall, covered with hair, and ran like the wind. We ran all the way back home.
A couple weeks after that encounter, we decided to go watch the stars. There's a concrete bridge right outside of town that is perfect for that, no lights, no late night traffic. Just real nice and peaceful. We sat there gazing at the stars for about an hour when we heard a low grunt coming from under the bridge. We thought it was just a cow that might have gotten loose, so didn't think anything of it. But then we heard something walking in the water, coming toward the bridge. We're around 25 feet above the water. As it approaches, we hear a few grunts under the bridge, and then a louder grunt from the creek. Another grunt and then a growl from under the bridge, and then whatever was in the water walked back downstream. About 5 minutes later, we hear splashing under the bridge. Trying not to make any noise, we started walking back home. We were just about off the bridge and I kicked a rock, the noise seemed extremely loud in the middle of the night. It got the attention of whatever was splashing around below us. We hear some growling and could tell it was coming up the hill. We took off running. The nearest house was about 200 yards away and a streetlight was about 150 yards on the opposite side of the road. We get to the house and stop, and watch towards the bridge to see if it was still following. We could make out a shadow moving against the treeline beside the road. As it approached the light, it went off. When the light came back on, the shadow was quickly moving down a side street. Again, at least 7 foot tall. I only saw it as a shadow, so I can't really say it was hairy, but, it did seem to be shaggy.
We tried telling a few people, but of course they didn't believe us.

My friend and I who saw it while we were creeking that day, must of been only 50 feet away from us. His nostrils was smelling for our scent but not must of deemed us as threats cause it finished crossing the creek and carried on its way. We booked it back to Kent. We ran on water that day!

I live in Hanover and about 8 years ago a couple buddies and me were fishing late at night on a private pond out side of Madison that was tucked back in the woods, heard a lot of strange sounds that none of us (all 3 of which grew up in this area and camp, fish, and hunt all the time) have never heard followed by what sounded like very large branches being broken off of trees, then at the other end of the pond we heard the familiar kerplunk sound that is made when you throw a really heavy rock into a body of water. That put us on edge more than the other noises but being guys in their early to mid 20s we didn't want to admit we were scared then as we sat on the bank a rock about the size of a golf ball hit the ground next to me and rolled in-between us as if thrown from the wood line, that did it for us and we pack up and left in a hurry. Idk what it was but for years my two buddies became convinced that I somehow was behind it and just messing with them. Still freaked about it tbh cause I know it wasn't me and the way we were all sitting at the time I had view of them so i know they didn't do it either. Haven't been back to that pond after dark since.

In 1973 as a teenager I along with three others were sitting on an old bridge support at dusk south of the Monroe Reservoir dam fishing. We saw, heard and experienced "something" on the other side of the bank that roared and silenced a barking hound dog with a yelp. Whatever it was, ran up the bank. My grandfather had a encounter in 1937 in Spencer County IN. He was with his 2 dogs coon hunting they took off he said it would stay just out of his kerosene light and it had red eye shine and screamed like a woman possessed with the devil the monster as he called it was very tall and followed him back to the truck throwing tree limbs at him he only had a single barrel shotgun 410.The dogs were waiting for him at the truck wanting back in there cages. That was his last night time hunting he would ever do.
He told me this story one night after I had asked him if he had ever been scared by anything out in the woods. I asked my other cousins if he ever told them this story and they all said no.I was very close to my grandfather lived next door to him for 7 years and then with him for 3 years before moving to Florida at 18.
My grandfather was a preacher and I could tell he didn't really like telling me about the encounter but I could tell he just wanted to get it off his consciousnes.
We talked about a lot of things from his child hood and he even told me about a black panther he had seen when he was a young kid.
I don't believe in bigfoot, but I do believe my grandfather and I can't explain what he saw but the tree limbs always stuck in my mind, what in hell can thow a dam tree limb at you.
I don't think it was another person out there because it was such a rural area and my grandfather did have a gun and he was raised as a country boy.He also mentioned a strong smell but what really scared him the most was how it pushed him stalked him for more than half of a mile back to his truck.
I don't think whatever it was, was trying to hurt him it just wanted him and the dogs gone.Whats also kind of strange is grandfather never liked scary movies or no kind of documentary about bigfoot.
I feel privileged to be the only grandson that he told about this encounter.
I told my cousin last year about it while we were deer hunting on his lease and it just blew him away. Like me he's a non believer but couldn't get over the tree limbs being tossed and he also knew how honest grandfather was.
He been gone since 2001 but his story lives on.

I had an encounter many decades ago, it made me a believer, though I’m still not certain what I saw. All I know is that many good, reputable people have also had sightings, and had no personal gain from telling their stories. In fact, they were more likely to be ridiculed than anything. The older generation, like your Grandfather, where bravery and manliness were the expected norm, would rarely tell a story about anything that scared them.
My personal belief is that what people are seeing is some kind of primate, be it known or just rare and “undiscovered”. There have been so many sightings reported to the DNR, that there’s a push to call them “North American apes”.
The truth is out there, I hope to see it in my lifetime.

But had no idea that these individuals are as populous as all these sitings suggest. These stories bring to mind an experience I had at Girl Scout camp in Poland, Indiana, in the mid 1960’s when I was about 10 years old. We slept in tents on the wooden platforms and would hang around our camp units much of the time doing outdoor activities along with hikes. I recall hearing the knock knock knock off in the distance wondering what it was. The camp was remote - not much traffic, lots of farms, etc. The only man around was the camp custodian who lived on the premises - occasionally would see him driving around in his truck. I recall thinking at the time when I heard the knock knock knock off in the distance that it was Mr _ , the custodian, doing something off in the woods. Now with what I know I suspect it was a Sasquatch…

@@AdventureswithRoger Thanks for your interest ! I have talked about my encounters on other bigfoot and cryptoid channels. I'm glad we have the technology now that allows me to share my story of my encounters with so many. So, here goes -
I was raised on a small, rural farm 3 miles north of the small town of Tennyson in Warrick county. It's roughly 20-25 miles north east of Evansville, Indiana. My 1st encounter was in 1975, which would make me 12 at the time. Dad bought a new mobile home a year or so before, and set it up on some land my grandpa had given him. Dad quickly built some barns and sheds, and we had cows, beef and chickens. And multiple gardens. And we helped my grandpa, who lived beside us, with his farm. A family built a house just north of us, and I quickly became friends with the two boys that moved there. One day, the 3 of us decided to explore the creek that ran through the fields and woods- just east of our houses. Their large German Shepherd dog went with us. It was a warm summer day. We walked on a dirt road that lead to the creek. Once there, the road followed the creek. It was a very wooded area, with trees and brush on both sides of it. We walked the road for awhile, and decided to walk back. We were just slowly walking and talking. Their dog, Tinker, was just a little ways in front of us. All of a sudden, Tinker stopped, and just staired at the heavy brush to our left. The creek was to our right. We stopped, wondering why Tinker had stopped. He stood there, just looking at the brush. Then, he ran towards the brush- and jumped completely off the ground. Just as he got to the brush, a very long, reddish brown arm came out of the brush. It hit the large dog and he flew back several feet, hitting the ground. The large arm disappeared back into the brush. Tinker took off, running back to their house, which was maybe a 1/4 Mile, maybe a little less, West of us. We all 3 quickly followed him. The arm was very long. Covered in long, matted reddish brown fur. And much longer than a human arm. We did not smell anything before this happened, as is reported in alot of sightings. We were very close to the arm when it came out and threw the dog. I'm sure we would have just walked right past the creature if Tinker hadn't sensed it was in the brush.
My next encounter happened on the same creek, about a 1/2 a mile south of the 1st encounter. Around 4-5 years later. It was a very cold winter day. There was a heavy snow on the ground. My best friend from school was staying a few days with me. We had been out hiking for several hours. I was armed with a 12 guage shotgun and a 22 automatic handgun. My friend was carrying my 22 lever action rifle (After my 1st encounter, I always had a gun or 2 with me anytime I hiked the fields and woods around our place). We were walking back to my house on the rock road that went past our property. We were just north of my place and could see it. The creek was to our east- probably 100 yards or so. As we walked, we noticed a very large animal in the field, just on the other side of the creek. It was coal black and standing on all 4's. It was not moving at all. My 1st thought was maybe it was a cow. But I knew that no cows were in that field. I told my friend to shoot beside it with my 22 rifle he was carrying so maybe it would move and we could figure out what it was. So he took aim beside it and fired. The creature stood up on its back legs and walked, very quickly, into the nearby woods and disappeared from our sight. It didn't run. I've never seen any animal walk that fast. I would estimate it's height to be around 8 foot. And like I said earlier, coal black. With a very thick build. We found 100's of tracks in the snow in the field beside us. We didn't cross the creek to investigate the field the creature was standing in. We didn't want to wade through the ice cold water. And it was getting close to getting dark. The tracks were probably 12 inches long. The best way I can describe them was a circle in back with 4 toed. 3 toes and a larger toe on the outside. My Mom and Dad had just laughed off my 1st encounter, so I dug up a track and took it home to show them. I kept it in our freezer for awhile. Mom finally threw it out. She said it was probably just a person in a suit trying to scare us, and not to shoot at it again if I ever seen it anymore. I'm not for sure if she really believed that or not. I can't say for sure what it was. But I'm sure it wasn't a person in a suit.
Anyway, that is my 2 encounters. I hunted and hiked the woods and fields all around our property for several years. But I only seen the creatures two times. And only found tracks that one time. I've always thought that maybe the black one was hunting for food and was in the open for that reason. The fields had been snow covered for several days. Maybe it was so hungry it got careless. I will admit, I did actively hunt for the creature. I wanted to get one to prove it did exist and that I had seen one. Hardly anyone I told about my sightings believed me back then. I'm glad I do have witnesses to both encounters. At least they have always confirmed what I seen. I would like to add- both sighting were within less than 1/2 a mile from each other, on the creek.
Well, that is my 2 encounters. Thanks again for your interest. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

@@shadowwolf2524 Thank-you for sharing your encounters! I believe you. My encounter was very similar to yours, in that I wasn’t pursued or threatened. What I saw was blackish to gray. A common feature to other sightings I’ve read about: near a creek, stream, other running water. A theory is that they travel along the waterways as both a source of water, but also to find smaller animals that come for a drink, or even fish. In Bartholomew and Brown Counties, the sightings appeared in the same time period, along the river, as if it was taking it west. When I’d get lost, I always looked for running water, knowing it would go somewhere: I’ve conjectured that maybe they thought like that.
For decades after my sighting, I tried to make sense out of it. “Maybe I saw a bear with mange or was so scared I thought I saw a Bigfoot?” For sure, black bears have been crossing the Ohio River to Indiana, from Kentucky, for a long while. People have caught them on trail cams for the last 10 years, over here in Floyd county. One was even hit by a car and ran off. Another sighting at Utica. They aren’t very aggressive as a rule, try to stay away from humans. Their claws are relatively short and sometimes don’t show up in tracks, including the smallest toe, making an imprint that looks like a four toed animal. If it were running in snow, a small black bear footprint could look up to 12 inches long, especially if it melted just a little in the sun. But for both of us, the faces didn’t look like a bear. I recall a flat, ugly face, but I only saw it long enough for me to run.
Like you, I hope someone captures one in my lifetime, for undeniable proof. One guy told me, as soon as his son graduates, he’s retiring and looking for Bigfoot full time, over near Crosley Fish and Wildlife area. They’ve had many sightings over there and he just wants the truth. I believe it will happen, with so many looking for solid proof.

I'll never forget the time 17 years ago when our family went camping in northern California. Our mother went to a lake surrounded by forest to wash, when we all heard her primal screaming and the sound of something 'grunting' very deeply. We raced to where she was to find that she was being mauled/grabbed by something approximating a bear/human hybrid. It was very, very tall and broad and looked extremely bizarre. We were all confused but thankfully mom broke free and the 'beast' went back into the safety/protection/invisibility of the woods. Needless to add that none of us were game enough to follow the 'thing'. Mom was extremely shaken, but soon settled back to her normal self. The thing never bothered us again, but we still think we encountered the mythical 'Bigfoot'

There’s a whole world of beings living outside our doors , side by side with us . They are peaceful nature beings and they are curious of us too!
There are Sasquatch people that live in tribal groups and cryptid communities all over the world!
For the most part they mind their own lives and live a peaceful existence.
These beings are highly intelligent and they interact with each other.
The Sasquatch are the forest people !
These cryptids are all capable of being inter dimensional beings and can disappear when they wish.
They are amazingly created to live simply without disruption to our ecosystems. They seem to respect one another and that’s why we rarely see any of them . They communicate through telepathy. I have never run into any dangerous ones.
The Sasquatch have family groups . They are highly intelligent ancient people. Who love their children .

He would tell me stories of something very large running through the woods at night behind the house smacking into trees and said it sounded like a train coming through the woods. Coil spring traps with long screw anchors pulled out of the ground and bent around trees. Even claims to have had an encounter with a friend when they were young that they ran for their lives back to the house. Both Clark State Forest and Crosley struck me as creepy. I didn’t have any Clark reports at the time, but used brief footage from Clark to recreate where the young man was squirrel hunting. It’s super brief, it’s where the camera looks left to right, as if he’s looking for Bigfoot. I’ve since heard some stories about Clark, would not doubt it.

I lived in Clark County, Indiana all my life until I was about 20 years old. I was married and divorced young and while married one of my husband high school friends use to visit us a lot. We lived about a mile from Marysville and he lived on Michigan Rd. At that time and this was 1973/74 Clapp Rd and Michigan Rd was gravel. Marysville Rd was paved until you got to the intersection of Clapp Rd. Anyway, there were a number of fields and some very thick woods on his way going home, this was a very rural area also. He had left our house about 11:00 p.m., and he later told us that something big had run in front of him on Marysville Rd, just after he'd gone past Clapp Rd, and down into this wooded hollow and he'd hit it and had thought it was a deer. He had stopped his car and had opened his door to get out, and he shined his flashlight where it was laying on the road, only it wasn't a deer, at first he thought it was a person, but then it started getting up and he realized it had fur all over it. He said he sat there frozen at first and then the thing stood completely up and he said he was sure it was at least 8 feet tall at the very least. He closed his door and went racing off and went home. When he came back the next morning there was nothing, and he couldn't find anything. There was however and we saw this for ourselves a big dent in his bumper where there hadn't been anything before. When he was telling us about this he was shaking like a leaf and could barely light his cigarette and thereafter he always left to go home while it was still light out. He swore this was completely true. I've heard strange sounds from across the fields before and I could not ever figure what I was hearing, we just knew it was very loud and scary sounding. I don't know if it was a bigfoot that my husbands friend hit and saw or if that was what we heard across the fields or not. But I would not be too surprised if there weren't other stories out there about seeing or hearing something strange in Clark County. Since then unfortunately this friend has since passed away from cancer. He was only 48 when he passed away.

My Sister and I along with my nephew decided to go camping at Dean’s Lake the first week that they opened on a Monday we were going to stay until Friday because we wanted to avoid large crowds and the weather was cool, we are from Clark County and we often went camping there and enjoyed our time out there but she was going through chemotherapy and had lost her long beautiful hair and wanted to be able to enjoy her time without having to cover her head and having people stare at her so we picked a spot that was isolated away from the few other campers that were there. So we got our tent set up and everything in order to be able to cook our dinner and to celebrate the beginning of our vacation we cooked up some steaks and baked potatoes and made S’mores for dessert and we were sitting around the fire after the sun went down and all of a sudden we heard the deepest guttural growl and from a distance we could hear some trees breaking as if a tornado was coming through the forest and the loudest footsteps I have ever heard and it was quickly getting closer, I have lived on farms and know the sounds of horses running on hard packed dirt and dear getting flushed out of their hiding spots but these footsteps were so loud and so hard you could tell whatever it was it was massive and mad and approaching us quickly, it was down in a small ravine behind our camp sight and getting closer by the second. It happened so fast but it felt like time slowed down but from the first scream and the first couple of footsteps my sister and I just looked at each other and grabbed our pistols and my nephew and jumped in our car and turned the headlights on and the footsteps stopped dead in their tracks, my sister was weak and I remember having to cock her 380 for her, that detail sticks in my mind I don’t know why but anyway we stayed awake in the car until sunup and packed up our tent and gear and left as soon as we could, this was the late spring of 94’. We never saw it but we didn’t need to or want to but without a doubt we knew exactly what it was.

There's been a couple of things that happened while I went camping at Morgan Monroe State Park. One winter, we got a warm snap that came through and for one night in early February. Warm enough to go camping. Being in my early twenties at the time. My friends would do things spontaneous because indiana could be pretty boring for kids our age.
That night when we got to the camp site, which is where the Boy Scouts Camp area is. We just opened up our vans in a semi-circle and started chilling. After about a half hour, we heard something that sounded like a hound dog in distress. Like it had got caught in a snare or something. He howled for about twenty minutes off and on. Being the dog guy I am, I wanted to help that dog, but my friends were like, "No way." I seriously thought that was a hound in trouble. Later that night, I had another thing happen. I went to the edge of camp to take a leak. It was pretty dark on the treeline, and you couldn't really see back too far once the firelight had dwindled at a distance. I was looking around, and in a short distance, I could see four sets of eyes close together. They were huge and had a blue tint to them. I played it off like they were four owls with big eyes sitting on a branch. My friend came up as I was finishing ( I guess he had the same idea), and I showed him the eyes. When he saw them, he immediately started back tracking, as did I back to the fire. It all happened within a minute, maybe less. But I remember those huge eyes not too far off and that blue tint. 💙 It's kind of the color of the top of that blue heart. Illumenesent almost if that makes sense.
The next morning, really early I went to that same spot to do the exact same. But there was no tree there for those owls to have been perched. Oh, there were trees, of course, but nowhere near where I had seen these eyes.
Later , I heard of a couple of encounters in that same area. And that hound dog we had heard sounded a lot like the Ohio howl.

I was 12 in 1986. My friend invited me to go on a summer retreat in WVA with his church so I did. I had terrible homesickness. I finally got better at the end of the week. Our leader(s) had us pack up from a established area. It had to be used every year, by them or others I'm not sure. We walked farther into the forrest. That afternoon us kids started setting up our tents when a rock came whizzing in. This is fun! I threw it back. Then more and more until it was like a pelting rain. We left everything and ran to a place on the hill that was established somewhat with a firepit and logs for sitting. The leaders made a huge fire and tried calming everyone. They were scared we were scared. We laid on the ground and maybe slept. The next day we went back to our tents and gear. There was a hole in the top of my tent and the fishing rod was broken. We left and that memory disappeared into adulthood until recently.

Trevlac, Indiana is an interesting, beautiful and very remote area. I was introduced to the area and some of it's few residents by a formerly reformed hippie from the 60's . We had traveled there from the Laughery Valley area of Southeast Indiana to visit some of his friends and family living in the area "commune" in the early 1980's. Interesting Fact: it is NOT a coincidence that Trevlac IS Calvert (as in Calvert Whiskey) spelled backwards......the tall green-faced giants we saw did not have brown to brownish-gray fur. Instead they were covered with sparkling white hairs but it was definitely the odor that gave proof -- his friends had captured the world 's largest "'Indiana Green Skunks"....I didn't fly up onto anything and Weasel didn't have to fly up and get me down from anywhere ! Try as we might we never did find out where brother bigfoot hung out. Gold and garnets is all we found.

A Bigfoot body, dead or alive, where scientists can analyze DNA, bone structures, and other factors, to determine that it’s conclusively different than anything else. We have bigfoot here in east central Indiana! Seen a juvenile back in 1985 in our backyard scratching at the leftovers that was cooked on the brick grill. It had red eyes and stood about 6'. My brother in law shot his pistol at it, but missed because it was dark when this all happened. It also tried to get in our trailer 3times! It would jiggle the back doorknob to our back porch at night for about 15mins. Then give up. Good thing we kept it locked! This happened close to Mt. Summit State Park. We lived the next county road over off of road 36. There was also another bigfoot report on the BFO website that happened less than a mile from our house. So yes, they're even in east central Indiana! We have heard moans and herd a tree pushed over just a few summer's ago! The moan was herd in Mt. Summit while walking the trails at night. And the tree being pushed over happened in Hillsboro reservation late at night walking the bike trail.

My sighting was around 1979, at Ogilville. Also not more than 6 foot tall. I too think it was a juvenile as it was not what I would consider huge. It also wasn’t a bulky-looking costume like some hoaxes I’ve seen on film. Almost wiry muscular like a very large chimpanzee. Face was ugly and had big eyes. It looked at me from above a tree, and cocked its head, like a dog does when it’s sizing you up. I ran like the wind to get out of there!

@@AdventureswithRoger This was in either late March or early April - I used to like to get up early and take my girl or a buddy to Lake Lemon - a man-made lake deep in Brown County State Park - we'd hike around, just enjoy the woods. On this day I was alone - I arrived at the lake right at sunrise. I parked my vehicle and started walking across the earthen dam that creates the lake. Halfway across over my left shoulder there was a roar - LOUD and strange - almost a cross between a scream and a growl. Whatever it was sounded big. I stopped, startled and stood there for a couple minutes. You know your mind plays tricks on you sometimes in the forest, alone - so I thought to myself "Did I really hear that?" I looked to where I thought it had come from - but in the early dawn - nothing. I started walking again but immediately there it was again - closer and incredibly disturbing. It was obvious that the second roar was made in response to my movement - this time I was petrified and I stood there for 10 minutes deciding what to do. Finally I set off again, walked across the dam and up the ridge to the trail that circles Lake Lemon. I never saw anything - just those two roars. The strange thing was that on the trails around the lake that morning it was utterly silent - no birdsong, no squirrels, no deer - which you would almost always see. The woods was quiet as a tomb. I'm not claiming I saw a Bigfoot because I didn't see anything - but that roar was unbelievably frightening.

I also tried to provide known theories to get people thinking, but also encourage discussions. So many people want to write-off sightings and ridicule people that have seen something. The video has succeeded in creating many discussions and maybe make at least some naysayers think that there could be “a rational explanation”, and there really are bigfoots. I hope undeniable evidence comes in my lifetime, but I know what I saw.

Deep sea researchers keep finding new and often frightening life, in the ocean, places where we never looked before. With southern Indiana having such deep and nearly inaccessible places, it stirs my imagination. Just a few years ago, researchers found an entirely new spider (fortunately tiny) at a cave down here.

Thank-you! I’m probably doing these videos today, as a result of Mr McNaught, Center Grove Middle School. He had one of the first bulky video camera systems, and recruited me to both write and direct silly videos for his class. A while later, my Grandmother bought a similar system and I did skits that we’d play at family Christmas and Thanksgiving get togethers. Fast forward nearly 40 years, and I notice one of my friends gets a Facebook reply by none other than Mr McNaught! He’d quit teaching to do corporate consulting, but remembered the silly stuff we’d done.
      Small world!

@@AdventureswithRoger I have been drawing my own connections and your videos helped illuminate some things I suspected regarding the areas of Bloomington, Bedford, and even Shoals. My best friend is from Shoals and has a large family farm there. One interesting tidbit, he said on a few occasions over the years he was out in those woods and somehow lost a few hours of time. Almost like an alien experience.

      @AdventureswithRoger  Před 2 lety +1

I’ve filmed at Shoals more than anyplace else in the last 6 years, working on this huge documentary about the Indian Silver Mine. Lots of deep history and legends. There’s some speculation that local Indians came into possession of a solid gold idol, possibly of Mayan origin, but it’s never been found. For a fact, there’s a large burial ground above McBrides Bluff, and the former land owner found arrowheads and other artifacts every time he tilled his garden. He gave me some of them!

Well that was excellent..and unnerving. I have travelled all over your circled hot spot area, mostly at night, and never gave a thought to bigfoot! I have seen things I definitely did not expect, like wolves and what were probably coywolves, based on the size, but nothing bipedal. I think heading back to Bloomington from visiting family in Jackson County will happen before dark more often in the future. Thanks for that new irrational fear! :)

Excellent vlog, if this is truely the countryside where the big fellows live, then not only is it great to see, but its easy to see how they can stay hidden and we only see them when we catch them unawares. Its pure arrogance on mans' behalf to presume we know it all, when we obviously actually know so little. Its reckoned that twenty new species are discovered every month they ( Bigfoot ) are just one of the ones yet to be proven. Every legend carries an element of truth, thats how they come about. Great show.

Awesome video! I was born in raised in North East Indiana and encountered a bigfoot "tribe" in southern Indiana... in the Hoosier forest. Definitely something to Indiana... of course, many of the tribal people that lived in Indiana centuries ago left records of a bigfoot tribe that interacted with them and helped them evolve many of their traditions.

The story from near Tunnelton Road in Lawrence County in 1981 was actually about my dad. I remember him telling it to me multiple times over the years up until his death but he told it a bit differently than how it was reported on bfro. He was actually trying to get lucky with a woman a few years before he met my mom and had his truck parked on the side of the road when she noticed someone watching them while he was trying to round every base and hit a home run. From what he said she was so freaked out and yelling at him to get back in the truck when he went to investigate that she refused to ever go back out with him. My dad “Derek” said that he could never forget the nasty smell and the fact that when he got to where it ran off the road that no man alive could have ran that fast through the briar bushes it ran through without getting stuck and hurt. Probably happened for a reason because if things worked out with the woman he had in the truck with him then me and my brothers and sister wouldn’t have been here. I miss both mom and dad but at least I know they are happy together with my older brother Ronnie.

IU has studied it for many years, there’s actually a few videos about it on CZcams. I don’t know if there’s any connection between that and the sighting your Dad had, but I found it peculiar.

Thanks Daniel! I’ve lived in Indiana my entire life, truly love this place.
I’ve hiked a fair piece of it, and know there’s way more hidden places than most people realize, especially in Southern Indiana’s more rugged places. I’ll go out on a limb and say there’s some remote places, so inhospitably rugged, that they’ve never been explored. I believe that’s why people hiking in the deeper places, pushing themselves, people like yourself that look for caves, experience more unusual sounds and sights. I’ve had people tell me they’ve seen odd stuff deep in Hoosier National Forest, from brief sightings of what they think is a Bigfoot, to what looks like primitive structures and tools near caves. “Send me pictures, please!” 🙂 I believe we’re only limited by how deep we can explore, and how brave we can be.
