Awesome! Yes, always a good idea to downfalls free plugins, as sometimes the prices change over time, but once you’ve downloaded them once, even if you delete them, you will have them forever.

I love to try different things when I record. Effects made for guitars and bass and toss them on a vocal track is always fun to try. You just never know what you will end up with.

ha! I wrote a much more elaborate praise-filled comment that evidently never posted. long story short : My use of GB has streamlined a ton after watching just 3-4 of your vids. One question as well-Is it possible to display and use more of the guitar neck? On my iPhone there are 12 or so frets, on my iPad there are only 9. Seems like there should be a way to scroll or expand what’s available.

I’m a complete rookie when using garage band. Unfortunately I haven’t played with much of the instruments. However, I do need more practice with it. But these free apps might help me in the long run.

They are good, however have an issue where they don’t keep the settings when you exit and come back in to a song which is frustrating when you’re trying to tweak your plugin settings.

Hi Pete, great video. In your opinion, is the stereo plug-in better than the native "stereo delay"effect in Garageband?
Hey there. So, it is a much simpler effect and works better than the stereo delay when you just want some width without the actual repeating delay. Gives you more of that “slap back” type of delay. Worth having and experimenting with.

Good suggestion. A lot of the plugins I have covered can be used on vocals and to be honest there aren’t a heap of free vocal specific plugins. Worth a look though!
I duplicate my tracks and slightly pan for stereo width.Maybe it’s not the way to do so but yeah that’s what I do.But I’ve also ran out of the 32 track list on my iPhone because the transitions in my rock song.

Yes, due to the nature and screen size limitations, as well as the audio engine, there are indeed some differences between the desktop and mobile versions.
@@PeteJohnsMusic Thanks, Pete. You can get some wicked effects on the mobile piano kits but sadly only one note per key on the desktop version. Can you export a song from mobile to desktop?

Also i need a little help , i have problems with sharing song in wave formats in itunes when i listen to the track before everythings ok , then i send it to itunes that i can master it and it has clicks or part of the song is missing ive reseted garageband and installed it new hasnt solved the problem thks lee
Hey there Lee. This is a strange one? So is it only on iTunes that you have these issues? What happens if you export as a WAV and then play the WAV File back? Or if you import it back in to a blank track in GarageBand?
Are you using any external plugins? These are usually the cause of these sort of issues when you export. Often merging any tracks with plugins before exporting can help. czcams.com/video/imcgX2bW8rk/video.html
I can also suggest another plugin for GarageBand. RRS EQ560. Essentially an EQ plugin, with ten linear knobs to control specific frquencies.

It is free to try but does require a purchase to be able to use it on your track permanently.
Pete Johns I use that plugin sometimes, but I have never had to pay a single penny for it.
Interesting! I thought it worked as a demo that reset but perhaps you picked it up at a point where it was free?
it happens also when i just save the wave file this naturally automatically sends a copy to itunes by the way then sends the file back to you afterwards and thats what you hear as your wave file and i use the external plugins which you have stereo lag and lrc5

is there a way to make a note or chord pass the bar, or go through a bar? cuz usually chords can only be 1 bar in length and notes like 808s and top melodies can’t cross the bar without being cut off.
Hey there my friend. You should just be able to edit any note in the MIDI editor to extend beyond the end of a bar.

What is better to make a song, and iPad or an IPhone or do they do the same thing?
iPad is generally better because more music apps are compatible with iPad than iPhone and you get more screen real estate to use. iPhone is also very good though. Check out my guides at:
