Hi Friends! 10 months ago, I showed you guys how to install peel and stick vinyl flooring, I used vinyl flooring from Home Depot. I installed this peel and stick vinyl flooring over my existing tile floors. I saw Amber Scholl's video on DIY marble flooring, and that gave me the idea to try this in my own space. I installed my vinyl flooring 10 months ago and I haven't had any problems. I hope this video encourages you to tackle your floors no matter if you live in an apartment or a home. Oh yeah, did I mention that this is a rental hack.
The flooring is from Traffic Master, I chose the color Taupe Oak and I purchased it from Home Depot for $0.97 per square foot.

Just watched the original video and this one. I'm now ready to install similar flooring in my kitchen on my own. Before I thinking of paying someone as it seemed difficult, but you've got me on the "I can do it myself!" path.

if you buy pattern need extra boxes match. Start laying tile making full pattern1st then go back and fill in with extra tile cutting to complete pattern . I just finished mine. Tiled shower with pops used match floor. Lay tile vertical or horizontal . Protect your knees towel or pillow.

They’re called threshold strips for the threshold of a doorway -you know like “he carried me over the threshold on our wedding day.” For areas between different flooring only is called transition strips.👍

I work in the home building business, our floor guy calls those transition pieces. The exterior door bases are called thresholds. 🙂

I love this! This is my second video I’m watching of yours and I’m subscribed already.
It looks great. My SO and I are renting the house I grew up in from my parents but it really fell apart while we all lived in a different house for a few years. They don't want to put any money into it, but told us we could do what we wanted. We don't make great money by any means and want to cover up our 20 year old stained vinyl flooring in the kitchen and dining room so were considering doing the home depot peel and stick until we advance in our careers to do some better remodeling. I really appreciate you doing all these videos.

Absolutely horrible for basement floor. All of the areas that aren't walked on regularly. Start peeling. You have to walk around and step them all down. Then end up gluing the edges. Use a snap and click product. That is a good product. This product is cheap for a reason. You will regret it

You did a great job! I don’t know if you’re familiar with Norwex and I’m not promoting, but I have a Norwex wet and dry mop that I use on similar floors. I thought that you may be interested. I used to use the swiffer and the thing I like about Norwex is I do t have to spend $ on the swiffer products anymore. My Norwex pads are cleaned in my washer!

Nice job on the floor even Vinyl click flooring can separate so a few bits of seperation with peel and stick is no biggie. A threshold or transition is the name for the strip that ties in flooring usually from room to room, a door jamb is the horizontal sides (casing) of a door frame ;)

What kind of board you use on floor before applying the peel and stick fake hardwood floor? Where can I find it?
What if you stick these to the wall and remove it after a year, will this sticker peel the original paint of the wall that was underneath the sticker?
It's called a transition strip. It's used when you go from one type of flooring to another.
Would you suggest this method on a kitchen floor? My kitchen is high traffic and water always ends up on the floor by the sink (do to children washing dishes lol).

doing it yourself how many more cases would you recommend getting for mistakes and how many times have you had a plank stick to were you didn't need it

I saw a sample of this floor from same exact brand with same color you chose and the sample looks like a very dark gray. But in your video your floor looks like a nice soft grey. Is it the lighting and the camera that makes it look this way or is it darker than it really looks in the video?
