I had a similar experience, like so many Americans/Westerners, I was introduced to K-Pop via BTS, but when I found EXO, I had to stop and settle in. They are the vocal kings, after all.
Finally! A reactor who noticed that EXO Killing Voice sounds soooooo different from the rest of the idol groups who also performed on Killing Voice. I really think EXO asked dingo Killing Voice to not go overboard on the production. 90% it sounds more natural and raw. The 10% is mostly the chorus of some songs were tweaked to sound like the studio version.
Same... I listened to BTS, Seventeen, StrayKids etc except EXO before. I went to their concerts and they were fun. BUT coming from the country that is a singing and karaoke crazy, the live vocals did not impress me at all then I found EXO and I could not stop talking about them to other people esp about their concerts. They are beasts on stage and downright the vocal monsters.
BTS did not perform in Killing Voice only those vocal group can be invited to perform in Killing Voice and BTS do not have killing Voice sorry, they don't belong to vocal group. Only deaf listens to BTS, lol it!
EXO = EXtraOrdinary. They just killed the Killing Voice stage. That's vocals galore! As Baekhyun said, they did this "one shot, one kill". It's really refreshing to watch people with real talent & actually are singing on their perf. Thanks for your reaction & for liking EXO.
I am an EXO-L and honestly, I know it might sound biased but I still think their Killing Voice was by far the best I have heard. I genuinely got teary a couple of times xD

Glad you appreciated Chanyeol's live vocals. I feel like his vocal tone is underrated, yet so pleasing & unique. I love his singing voice, especially when he sings in english. I hope we'll get to hear it more on his upcoming solo debut album next year. ❤
I grew up listening to Kpop. I’ve listened to it since I was about 12 and I’m 27 now. I saw them debut from teaser trailers. When people were talking about them as SM rookies. They’ve been consistently brilliant. Their discography is simply top tier.
DO does tend to be unexpressionless until he gets in front of fans. Then: KaBoom!!! He’s Mr Personality. Miracles in December has a mini drama for the mv. All 12 members were still together. The First Snow always comes back into the top Korean songs every year. In fact, I think it’s in the top 20-30 right now. The actual first snow of the season is special to Koreans. It’s supposed to bring boyfriends and girlfriends together if they are out in the first snowfall.

Just found your channel because of your reaction to BTOB's KV, I am a melody myself but Exo is number 1 in my heart (I've been an exo-l since debut) and I'm glad to stumble across your reaction! It's funny because almost all the reactors I watched had the same sentiments with Kyungsoo looking uninterested and wanting to go home but the truth is, it's probably Baekhyun who's dying to go home every time and spending his time alone playing games XD D.O is more social and outgoing with friends, just not active in Social Media (+ he doesn't feel the need to speak up because Baek, Chen and Chanyeol's already too much noise HAHAHA).
Had some OBS audio issues during this session and I did my best to sync everyone talking but there is still some delay at times where I may respond late. I have the issue fixed moving forwards

I can see what you mean because truth be told, I don't care, nor am I shocked if someone can sing. It's how well and powerful they can sing. A lot of the songs are not as vocally difficult as others in this, but each is pretty unique. I mainly pay attention to how they sing when they are at or near the limit of their range, both high and low

This isn't even showing anything about exo. This is one of their boring performance. I mean the vocals are no doubt amazing as usual but these isn't even showing any much.
I can see what you mean because truth be told, I don't care, nor am I shocked if someone can sing. It's how well and powerful they can sing. A lot of the songs are not as vocally difficult as others in this, but each is pretty unique. I mainly pay attention to how they sing when they are at or near the limit of their range, both high and low
