The reason this is my favorite paper mario game is because it has good graphics, slapping music, and most importantly my favorite final boss theme in this game, spectacular finale.

@@undertaleislife7210 no the only bad things that is in the game in my opinion is the battle spin, and the last magikoopa boss fight in world 6-3. That’s it. Everything else (including the final boss) is good in my opinion. You can disagree if you want because it’s fine to disagree with me.

This game isn’t amazing, by all means. It’s simple, and that’s why it’s so effective. It’s not stats that matter, but how you attack with your stickers, and that leads to creative ways to play.
It doesn’t focus on story or characters, but instead tries to deliver standard fun. That’s why most Paper Mario fans didn’t like it. The previous trilogy focused on story, and that’s what the fans liked. In a way, it is a disservice to the PM fanbase. However, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad game.
This game is simple and effective. It’s plain fun. That’s what matters most in a game. That’s what a game is. While it’s a 7.5/10 for me, Paper Mario Sticker Star a really great take on the series.

This was my first paper Mario game, so I didn’t have any biases and it was a blast. By now I’ve played all of them and my opinion hasn’t changed, but without the amazing soundtrack this game wouldn’t be nearly as special to me
Though I mainly dislike it because of how much I loved the story and characters of past games, it's genuinely poorly designed. It wouldn't be a big deal to me if it had a good story and characters like the old games, but that's me. This video breaks down the game from an objective standpoint. I actually remember using this BGM for a medal game series called "Magical Adventure" which is like Konami's Grand Cross, but with more stuff added to it, and a different plot! It is made with Unity and uses a replica (if I can get it) of the Grand Cross medal game.
Edit: I got the Center replica! It's based off of "LEGEND" and is actually working!

Poor Luigi. Just like the rest of us, he was extremely hopeful of this game without ever realizing how bad of a game he was repping. Also, he was done dirty in this entry especially. You think his role was insignificant in Mario 64? He was demoted to an Easter egg that you have to unlock without any clear directions on how to unlock it. Guess they had to give him one last kick to the balls before the eventual Year of Luigi rolled around.
How the hell is anyone suppose to know that you were suppose to paperize Luigi 5 times in some areas he's in?

Poor Luigi. You thought his role was weak in Mario 64? OUCH! He was relegated to an Easter egg that you would have no idea how to unlock unless you had microscopic vision to see him turn around and face the camera. I guess it was Nintendo’s way of giving him one last kick to the balls before the Year of Luigi rolled around a few months after this game.

I've been papered!
Here after Chugga's final video essay (fantastic series!). Feels surreal to be at the end of this. When all is said and done, this song still brings back tons of memories of simpler times. Least we can end it all on a good note.
This theme just reminds me of how many people had their Christmases back in 2012, ruined by this game! So the music is actually fitting, considering it ruined many gamers' Christmases that year and how bad the climax of the game was, coming off its awesome and well written one, from its predessor. Look, I'm not saying you could outdo the plot from SPM, but dear God, they really didn't give a shit about the plot for this game! Also, there was a 5 year gap and this was the best they could do? Thanks a lot, Miyamoto and Tanabe!
Despite all the negativity I've said about this game, at least the soundtrack isn't bad and is the better of the "sum of its parts".
Personally I really liked it
I had a great time with it, and this is from someone who grew up with TTYD. This game was the reason I got a 3DS, and I was disappointed with Super, so I felt this game was a step in the right direction.
Ya wanna know who said this game sucked? Miyamoto and Tanabe. The guys are innocent.
