Ford vs Marx - Instrumental. Epic Rap Battles of History.

- Hi! We're excited to be uploading this beat, it's the first we made from scratch. The characters just kept us wanting a new sound. Something gritty, industrial, old fashioned, classic. So we started experimenting with sounds and rhythms and eventually, after a looooot of failures, we found something that made us feel right. That's how it usually goes. Fail until you don't. Keep your ears open for the whirring, that's a real model T engine recording.
Very special thanks to Hollywood Legends for so much inspiration, and thanks to you for listening, enjoy!

It's a really good beat, and the fact that you made it from scratch really shows how you've grown.
Yeah right, they basically made the Ash vs Darwin beat and that was fire already
@@sedox3145I was wondering why it felt familiar
But it suits the battle so I guess it worked out
@@sedox3145 huh, i thought it sounded most like the Che v Fawkes one
They have always had a couple home grown beats, the fact that they can produce on their own is why they are able to take existing beats and really reinvent them for the battles. It's something most anyone else trying to do this has been missing and Peter has been on it since day one with Lennon.
2:12
The bass coming in at this part when the video switches to Ford driving is so insanely good
Listen to Digital versicolor: Glass candy, it’s pretty much the same, this is just better!
LEGIT
cannot find it, but did find the gunshot sfx which is apparently a Mosin Nagant recording according to the file name. funny because that's the same gun that....
@@ERB2that what?
@@ERB2ope
The choir really increased the drama for Marx's last verse. Really reminds me of how epic Babe Ruth's last verse was.
2:22, the sudden switch to the choir voices sounded so good. Really make it more dramatic for Karl’s verse.
I was saying how amazing this beat was when I first watched the rap battle, but I didn’t know you guys made it until the end…. you guys did an amazing job 🤩
Thank you so much :)
@@ERB2, of course 😎
69th like, don't forget me.@@ERB2
Love the occasional drill and printing press(?) sounds in the background. Makes it sound like it’s being filmed near one of Henry’s car manufacturers
According to the description there's an actual Model T engine in there
You guys walked the extra mile for this. The beat was absolutely astounding -- and the fact it's from scratch? Just amazing. You guys have come far, and it's clear you'll only go farther. Y'all are amazing.
The accoustic drumset is so layered and thumpy its rly satisfying
And the samples in the second verses give a factory feeling, very cool
What made u decide to speed it down from 102 to 98? I remember your original snippet
Yeah it's really great everything fits in so well
Y’all two are the goats
Didn't expect Freshy to be here lol.
Y'all two are awesome at making rap battles. 😁
Man, imagine if ERB and FK collabed, that'd be pretty Epic.
@@FizzyK-45 Feel like that might be pretty close to happening. ERB worked with Cam and Mat4yo in the past (Pokémon and Tony Hawk battles), so who knows. :)
Yoo Freshy is here too?!
Love the beat and love the "industrial" vibe that gives me.... so amazing!
I absolutely love the beat change when it's Karl Marx's first verse and when the ticking beat is introduced , Fantastic work ERB
the beat makes you swing, the sounds create an atmosphere, like puzzle pieces coming together into a stunning picture of music
I never considered what these videos would sound like without the rap. Cool! Could you give a rapless version of Roosevelt vs. Churchill?
absolutely yes. will upload next Friday. we made a good portion of that in house, the "toonky doonk dink doonk dink doonk diiiiiink" was made by Choco, who worked with us on engineering and mixing from about season 2.5 to season 5. The big soaring "Duuuuuuuunnnnngh dun dun dunnnnnngh, dun DUNN" part was a whole other beat made by Hollywood Legend. We blended them together and brought parts in and out to keep tension building. that beat was actually lost for a few years, we couldn't find any export of the full instrumental and the protools session was lost. we just found it less than a year ago. so yeah, short answer: yes! great idea. we'll put that up next Friday.
@@ERB2 DUDE! That rocks! You guys really bring something great to the internet. I'm really glad you're back. I had to laugh, it was my 17 year-old son who clued me in to your return. Congratulations! Your impact is multi-generational! Thanks for thr reply! Best of luck to you guys!
@@ERB2so cool
This might be one of my favorite instrumentals of any ERB
3:01 "...Love jelly donut"😂 Very nicely done!
haha it's saying something different but I almost don't want to ruin this for you
@@ERB2 No worries, y'all, I just thought that it was funny🤣
I love how good the transitions in this beat are. Like the startup of Karl’s first verse at 0:48. It’s really cool how the beat works with the rap so well.
2:22 god the choir kicking in is a great touch. Reminiscent of the chorus heard in soviet anthems, which fits into the whole proletariat values thing marx has going on
yall gotta make more beats because this beat gave the battle a really nice energy and it felt like the rap was elevated by how much the beat was able to be molded around the lines
YES YES YES YES YES THANK YOU PETE AND LLOYD, WE LOVE YOU ❤
What an amazing beat you made
Edit: Love the piano in 1:31-2:02, what an amazing piece
I would say "I dont know where you guys picked up your talent from" but then I remember, that this journey is longer than just one battle, and funnily enough your new peak features Marx, showing how one's work can in the long shot forge greatness.
Also Chorus backing Marx' last verse? Goosebumps.
LOL I WAS JUST SEARCHING FOR THIS
nice.
This backing track is a major reason why I keep coming back to the rap battle. It's amazing.
The choih at 2:21 is SO good. It's really made the final marx verse powerful
When any Russian comes into ERB I always love the booming choir notes or just original Russian music type beats. They’re SO underrated.
this comment is underrated, this should be on every video. i love this comment.
Wasn’t Karl German?
Karl is German
This is a great beat. In the rap battle itself the beat didn't stand in the way of the singing, but it still found its own way to shine through.
I think consistent growth is the real story of ERB. You guys were good when you started all those years ago but you keep improving in all areas. I can't wait to see what's next.
One of my favorite beats y’all have ever used in a battle!
I was hoping you'd release this! One of the best instrumentals you've ever had!
This is a banger, fantastic work guys, instrumentation is on point and it's so groovy
One of the best instrumentals, especially the climax! Good job!
The beat is so fucking good. Was waiting for you guys to post this.
love y'all. thanks for what you do
SO GOOD!!! ERB beats/music production has come so far and truly is the foundation of this epic channel.
Really good beat!
Keep up the great work ERB team ❤️
I love this! Thank you so much for sharing. You've done so much for History and introducing rap to people and now you are making these sick beats. I can't wait for more! This is why exactly why the wait for Quality Battles are worth it!! 🔥🔥🔥
THANK you! Awesome to appreciate the layers of the beat on its own. More please! :)
Really good production all around. The little details sprinkled into the background is just the cherry on top.
OMG, you uploaded the beat! That's one of the things I really loved about this episode (it's actually my favourite from you guys!), just wanted to say you guys did an amazing job!
Actually one of my favorite beats from you all! Long-time fan!
Probably my favorite one and you made it on your own. What legends
man I've been looking for this beat EVERYWHERE!
thank you so much man ur the best❤
YAS! - More instrumentals please! Your beats throughout the years have been absolutely amazing! - Also. fantastic "first" beat made from scratch!
This is fire man, you killed it with this
The fact that you guys made this yourselves is so great!! I'm so proud of you guys forreal
Pete and Lloyd, you guys knocked it out of the park with both the audio and visuals on this one. Hope all is well for you two and the rest of the ERB crew! Happy Holidays!!!
So glad you did this. I think this is one of the best beats you've ever done.
As I posted under this ERB video, the beat is incredible. Being the first you made from scratch, I mean, ::chef's kiss::
This beat does a great job feeling like it’s either it’s taking place in a working factory or is a back alley brawl.
This beat sounds so mysterious I love it so much for the first beat you’ve guys made it’s outstanding
The instrumental to a historical battle between two major voices really helps a man get his motivation. Love all that you guys have done, can't wait for more videos!
This beat is insane. So dope that you guys made it. Like a top 10 ERB beat
It's insane how talented you guys are, this beat is so good. I hope you make more from scratch it's perfect
I love how unique this is and all of the little switch ups play a huge part
Love that you made the beat yourselves! You've given the community so much love by using their beats, but it's definitely time for a bit of self-made beats from the self-made elites! 👏 🔥
I hope we get some more in-house beats in the future, this is brilliant work!
Amazing! This would be a great idea to keep us fans entertained during gaps between battles, post these.
This is such a good beat for such an amazing battle. You guys really outdid yourself with that battle
This is a great beat, very fitting for this battle. Great wishes from Chile!!
So glad you uploaded this!
One of the sickest beats ERB's ever featured!
damn, you guys really nailed the sound.
it feels like something RZA would make in the 90s especially the drum choice.
For your guys first beat, this was 🔥, really dope track, love the choir part for Marx final verse.
Amazing battle too. ❤
this is amazing, between the mansa musa beat and this i can’t tell which one is my favorite, once again you’ve blown everyone out the water
I ever thought I'd see the day that ERB would release the official instrumentals to their battles. I've been waiting for YEARS! Bravo!
Amazing beat. I love it ♥︎
It still makes me so happy that you guys made this
Thank you for uploading the instrumental!
Charles Babbage vs Ada Lovelace VS Alan Turing
Been listening to you guys since middle school. 25 yo now and my God, hardest instrumental y’all ever dropped
I was hoping for an instrumental this beat was honestly sick!
The structuring goes above and beyond, you guys have grown so much. It's enough to make a grown man cry ❤
Nice beat, cool battle, just Perfect
I fucking love the instrumental for this battle, it's always a banger
Thank you so much for uploading this, now I can rap it to myself! I instantly fell in love with this beat when I heard it and I would love to know how you guys made it since I always love seeing how you put the audio together with the voice clips!
Incredible beat. Congrats
This is really amazing guys! I Would love to see one with the Austin Powers theme. Thanks for all your effort!
Thanks so much for uploading this love u guys
mwah. is mwah still a thing? was that ever a thing. I'm trying to make a both hands blowing kisses feeling without it being weird. mwah.
Love this one guys 🔥
I was hoping too see you guys talk a little bit about making this beat on the BTS, seeing how it’s the first fully original ERB beat!
I can see the Hollywoodlegend inspiration here 😎
I'n glad you guys are back to uploading the instrumentals like you did for the karaoke videos.
There's only one word to describe this beat. Fire 🔥
This beat is so damn good love it so much!
Its a really nice beat! I like how parts of it sound like industrial noises/factory sounds since thats like Fords thing.
The consistancy in your quality as artists is inspiring. I just wish you were able to make them more regularly.
This is incredibly neat! 🎉
haha thanks your whole vibe is great.
welcome back ERB we missed you
Do this more, this is REALLY GOOD
Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD is always so cool in ERB, have a nice Xmas day you two❤🎄🎅🥰
this sounds amazingly good, it sounds like the industrial revolution and corrupt factories which i believe you were going for with henry fords dialogue, amazing!
Oh what a treat this is. Hope we get the old ones in the future too
Last part with the chorus is fire
the whirring in the back to henry ford's beat reminds me vaguely of like the sound of a drill or even a whistle, i love it
Good beats,I look forward to other erbs!😊
any requests?
@@ERB2 i think that Saul Goodman vs Daredevil is one you should do
But for history,I would say Archimedes vs Alan Turing is a good one
@@VVZecool And if possible, maybe Ada Lovelace can come in to help Alan Turing to make it ancient mathematician vs computer science mathematicians
@@bknpnck indeed
Home grown ERBeats! Delicious!
Yeeeeeeeeep we need more ERBeats 🔥
ERB, you know what'll be sick? Homelander vs Ozymandias from The Watchmen!
ford hearing the choir come in on marx’s last verse and realizing how over it is
kickass beat, really brings in that emergence of late 80’s early 90’s rap flow type of sound, the groove is legit
How to become a legend: Drop bangers for over a decade straight and not miss a single one.
Finally! Rap with just the beat. Don't get me wrong, I love your videos. Rap isn't my jam though but do love the beats a lot of times and want just that. So this for me is a treat.
This is the first erb i think where i went "wow this instrumental kicks ass" its amazingly fitting for the two, love it.
Yes, finally I can have something to vibe to while industrialising production and fighting for worker protections!
