Thanks for watching I hope this was of use to you. I also recommend this tea - amzn.to/3kVM6hg
That CZcams money bringing in the posh teabags
@Rich Boulton I tend to buy Lidle gold-blend as its much cheaper than twinings and tastes really good when I do get twinnings though I tend to buy it in bulk / or get it as gifts from family. Fortunately Twinning every day is not so expensive tea pigs will set you back £4 for 25 teabags 😱.
CZcams money goes on FFB joysticks! 😆
thought you were talking about me for a sec
LOL about the tea :-)))))))))))
Gamepass for me, I really do not see any negatives.
Same here.
U ppl are crazy
Let’s take a walk likewise mate...cant see why you wouldn’t ....£3.99 to try and see if it will run on your pc...no brainier......
I wish you could upgrade to premium from gamepass (Standard)
Peter Murray why wouldn’t it run.... ur pc had to have a i3 not to run and no one has that
I'm buying the base game, should be able to upgrade at a later date.
Yes but the full upgrade costs 170 Euro more :))
@@Dgshusje420 😭
I got the standard version. It has enough content to keep busy for a while and I expect the premium deluxe content to be offered on discount in the future.
You also need to play more than Premium although it DCed.
I enjoy landscape photography so on top of enjoying flying around, I'm going to be using this as a tool to scout areas based on time of day/year. There's a lot of other uses for this beyond flying, I think.
2022 ladies and gentlemen. brilliant
This video actually made me decide which version to go, I will try the gamepass route first, thanks!
Thanks for the video. I was going to get the deluxe version but after watching this I'm going to stick with the standard and pick up the planes I want as they come out. Happy flying everyone.
Thanks man. You made me think about it more. I am a hardcore pilot and didnt really listen to go away but i think ill still go with the the dingle berry deluxe edition. Thanks for your perspective
You have to eat caviar whilst playing it as well.
@@GamerMuscleVideos is it also beeing served on a brick?
Getting the Deluxe Premium version, did you find the only real draw there was being able to fly the Dreamliner?
I just wanted to say I really enjoy your channel. Been watching you for a long time and am always entertained and educated. Love your acc content also the additional flight Sim stuff is great! Thanks for the great videos and good attitude
Im a hard core simmer but for everyone else I totally recommend the game pass i mean even not talking about this game i recommend the game pass in general and if you like it after that point I would recommend buying it or really buying any 3rd party stuff you want.
I swear if GM continues these MS Flight Sim video he's going to make me buy it too.
So true, even at current price point its still a great value. I just purchased the deluxe version last night. I cant wait to try it out when I get home from work.
You speak the truth and it s nice to hear. I m also a hard core flight simmer but I mainly fly the PMDG 737 which I ll have to buy separate anyway. Also I m in Montreal and my airport isn t part of the hand crafted airports. So I could buy the standard edition and I d be fine. But i m considering buying the deluxe edition just to encourage Microsoft for finally coming up with this great simulator .
Thank you yes the base is fine, I can buy any additional aircraft that I want which is good. Great review happy flying
Thank you for this. This was a fantastic video, absolutely brilliant! You explained exactly what I was looking for. After watching a few of your flight sim videos you have my sub
What does heathrow look like when ai made it as opposed to the hand crafted version?
Nice quick overview of the editions, regarding advantages and disadvantages, services and download considerations. Really good one and very helpful. I think I'm going for standard edition on steam. pre-ordered on MS store but canceled that one, because of Steam release, just to have it in my steam libary, rather than have it in aweful MS store and in hidden folder path on my hard drive. Really looking forward to community fly events with the FLYING MUSCLE. ;)
How is your steam download going? Is it handling the full download and pausable? Or is it still using Microsoft's downloader after the initial 1GB download? currently having some download issues... Thanks... S
Steve A everything downloaded within 1 hour, without any complication, except from running flightsim.exe as admin, to work around no download at all.
I've never played flight sims, but I'm seriously considering getting the sim. Gamepass sounds like the best option for me. I've got a beefy PC with VR, so if I really like the sim, I might go all in later. As I'm really into sim racing, a second rabbit hole sounds fun.
@Scribble Scrable I know, but they've announced it.
Premium Deluxe Edition from Windows Store , im a filthy 🤪 Flight ✈️ Simpalator lol 😆 😅
Why not steam?
@@Cagefighter does it really matter bro id get it from Microsoft store but ill get xbox edition
Yes why not steam version?
@@martindescoteaux9288 bro do u understand i will get it on xbox so i can get it from Microsoft store or disk
@@Cagefighter Glad you asked , cause with Windows you can play it on Xbox when it becomes available .
The gamepass version for sure. But I will watch 😅
R u insane no get the premium deluxe a flight sim coming out is a rare occasion 100% get premium deluxe
@@jakepet3137 well, they can try it on gamepass and if they like it for more than just the looks(I mean, be real, half the people hyped for it are not flight simmers at all... I am one of these btw) then pick it up.
There's no logic in putting so much money on a product you don't even know if you're gonna make use of.
Nick S. Then they shouldn’t but it because it’s a sim not a game
@@jakepet3137 I am not even into flight sims. The first 2 things i did was looking at Rotterdam because i am close and all the landmarks were missing. Then i did go to Tioman Island because that was my first far holiday and because it is one of the hardest places to land.
That are the kind of missions i will play. So the €1 pricetag seems right for me ;)
Bruhh I will not turn down a £1 game instead of £50
Do you know if you buy the standard edition if you can download the additional airports later or individually?
I’ve done the £1 store trial, but not sure if that will work with VR when it’s added in about a month - but will buy the full version later anyway on steam.
As for 2D, that external view looks a better way to play than internal.
It would be interesting to see on screen system stats if you haven’t done already, to see if there is a cpu or gpu bottleneck or which is closer
What u said in the video are literally the thoughts I had last night when I was contemplating which one to buy lmfao. Thanks for confirming my thoughts.
Super excited!!
Game pass version then wait for a sale, orbx are already doing scenery, although the default is very good for out of the box, even better is coming
I'm glad i saw your video before clicking on the Premium Deluxe version at Steam! From where i am the difference between the standard and premium deluxe version is DOUBLE the price!
Another advantage or the steam version is that you get access to the .exe file and all the files required to run the game, in MS store you only get 2 folders and the store manages everything else
I wouldn't say that buying the premium deluxe version is the only thing that hardcore flight simmers would do. I would consider myself a hardcore flight simmer and Ive flown myself irl, but I've spent my money on getting a PC that runs the game well and can't afford to get the premium deluxe version. I'm getting the standard, because 1. I can't afford the premium deluxe 2. I'm far more of a military flight simmer so I'd prefer to wait for more military planes to pop up on the in-game store. The handcrafted airports are tempted, and I would if I had the money, but I wouldn't pay double for the extra planes since I likely won't fly them too much anyway.
True , I just think the super duper GA hard core sim people will have already bought it already and wont enjoy this video so much :)
@@GamerMuscleVideos I get that, got the mindset of a super hardcore flight sim but unfortunately don't have the budget! Awaiting a T1600M stick to arrive from Thrustmaster so I can play tomorrow, couldn't even get the stick because it's all sold out right now. Enjoyed the vid and honestly can't wait to jump in and fly some stunt planes
I got the gamepass for now, and I'll buy it when it goes on sale.
Thank you I was gonna buy the standard edition it’s gonna be my first time flying a realistic sim
I hope Microsoft don't outprice the casual gamer with the Helicopter DLC
Mate keep this up!!! This is the first video I have seen and you have a great sence of humour... This video has helped me heaps too!
Standard at first. Maybe a later upgrade to the top tier, cos the cessna Longitude is the type or aircraft I want to fly eventually.
i bought the 40th Anniversary Deluxe on Steam sale for 59€ and i'm just missing the 787 Dreamliner. i should have buying the Premium Deluxe but i love it anyway. i'm playing at high settings on i7 7700k, rtx 4060, 16gb and installation on 1tb 860 evo. with Frame Generation activated i get 50-100+ fps. this game makes it very comfortable to travel around the world and to see all the beautiful places. in far more than 1000 hours i've "learned" flying on a 737 in XPlane 11 and to buy MSFS2020 was the next logical step. i think i'm flying the TBM930 the most bec it's pretty fast and it's possible to land the Daher literally everywhere. same as the Cessna 208 Grand Caravan.
Great guide. Gamepass and my Win 10 don't like each other, so that's ruled out for me. My nearest airport is a small regional Aussie airport, so it'll never be handcrafted, and my nearest major airport is YSSY, which is in the standard version, so I'm all good with the standard version. I'd like the Beechcraft Baron 58 you're flying, but it's not worth the extra money for the Deluxe version of the game.
I know this will be hard to answer with the limited amount of time you've had with the premium aircraft but do any of them feel worth paying the extra for, most notably the 787? Or similarly are there any you would miss if you were forced onto the basic edition?
I'm the wrong person to ask , they all fly like planes personally I'd not really miss them as I'm happy with just the basic planes and I'm more about looking out the window and how the weather affects small planes :)
i tried to wait til the end to decide to sub but your personality is amazing and you love flight even more than me lol SUBBED!
I'll buy the basic version so I have the option to upgrade if I get seriously into it.
Gamepass is a bit of a no brainer if your happy with the standard version. The flight sim and a load of other good games for a small monthly fee.
I got the premium deluxe two days ago and have been a hardcore flightsimmer for over 3 years, flight sim has gotten me into aviation and flying, and is what drove me to attempting to get my students pilot licence, idk why im watching this
You wanted to look at your reflection off my RTX head.
When flying through a new city how dafaq are you meant to find the airports? Do they show up on the flight map or something?
I am getting game pass to see if my pc can handle it 😰
Hi @GamerMusleVideos, excellent work as always! Jus a question, my rig y kind of Frankie... New rig with Ryzen 3900x, 16gb 3600mhz, but dthe weak point the video card... A Radeon R9 290 trix. CPU and GPU with AIO water cooling. So, what do you think about the performance I would get? Cheers!
I don't know ! Just have to test it 🤣
Hi, sorry I'm a bit behind the times, whats the best way to purchase/download this? I was going to go down the steam route but you mentioned about going straight from Microsoft?
Thank you. I felt crazy for wanting to buy the standard without being tied down to game pass. I just need one video confirming that it looks fine on xbox series S when it releases
Can't wait for the Tic-Tac UAP DLC.
My local airport, in London, KY, is around 90% correct. It is only missing a few things.
I was tempted with the premium version because of 787 & longitude, haha.. but if it's mostly eye candy and system simulation wise is... you know what I mean... what should I expect it's still part of the default aircraft anyway, so no way it's going to be study level or at least close to it. Unless somebody can mod one of those like zibo, haha... that would be great. I might as well just get the standard and wait for the 3rd party :-)
I think I'm a hardcore simmer. I got a premium on steam and I know the systems of default planes ain't completed at all, I mean it's very low fidelity. I always doubt myself should I go for the premium. But for some high detail airports, maps, they may worth buying. What I know for VFR flying, environmental information is very important. Terrain, buildings are important things for navigation. I believe it will worth it for some visual navigation training. Especially for emergency situation training. The Standard is good as well, just depends on how many places you want to fly and how many time you want to spend on each place.
This video helped me decide I’m going to try it on GamePass first. If I decide to buy the Standard edition afterwards, can I buy say the 787 that only comes in the Premium Deluxe, but separate? Or do I have to completely upgrade?
thanks for the video
I'm so grateful to have such a good joystick, the same you have, Thrustmaster Hotas Wartog
Played this game using game pass on PC. Using a Xbox One controller and keyboard. Now i want it all, not in terms of in-game content but a yoke/joystick, pedals and what not. I'll probably go for the standard edition over on Steam. I want helicopters now.
Great video! Came for the advice subscriber for the great CZcamsr!
Give this man a like, keeps me smiling
3:39 Good tip with the game pass ... I would shelf out any price fro the ultimate edition ... as I have done in the past ... I even bought MSFS-X 2 times as ultimate ... but when that came out it took me 3 years to get a system that it was not overly struggling on ... and I am not sure my system is up to snuff for the current version (... or more like I'm pretty sure my system isn't ... after all it is only a low power I7 and 1070)
Im loving the goggles. Just that alone is enough for me to want to get this game.
I like a nice cup of tea with my gaming & a nice cup of tea with my tea, but around this time of night what goes down a treat ? That's right ! its a nice cup of tea !
Gamepass for me, can't wait to see the beautiful slideshow from my 1080Ti on my 49" 4k monitor. And when the new GPU's come out in VR at 2160 x 2160 per eye on the G2, if they are up to doing it justice.
Hey! Do u know if there is a difference whith detail and graphics beetween those versions, or there are only more planes and airports? Thx!
Is the Windows Store version a UWP app? If so, can you even mod it?
I fly x-plane quite a bit... And I rarely ever fly out of major airports. I love flying areas I know or island hopping in British Columbia.
My computer is LOW end, but might be worth upgrading a bit.
I will miss VR so much. The graphics difference to xplane with Orbx or Photo tiles is not that big. But the clouds in msfs look beautiful.
I am a pilot...thanks for very warm welcome mate 😀😀
Lots more Flight Simulator content, please. Like the cars and that, but hey!
"I land like a drunk" Do you have experience with drunk pilots?
Haha
Likeable guy ! Good info !
thanks for the advise broh, giving a thumbs up, hahah idk why but the joystick on the right made me feel stange auhauhuehaueh when i buy one going to try in the middle of the legsm thanks again
Think I’ll go with the cheap option.
Could you check out Greenland? Maybe a flight from ilulissat to nuuk.
Oh, and how would my i7 4790k + gtx1060 strix do?
I crazy curious about the Sw virus 121 since that's what my local club flies. Do I have to buy the premium version or is there a way to buy planes separate?
I would've want to know if for the gamepass version we will be able to buy things from the market place in the future or if we need to buy the standard version. For games on gamepass i cannot buy anyhting. So it would've been worth mentioning if there are some information for that :D
90GB, oh nice 😅, for me it’s sth like 2 days of straight downloading
I’m big into sim racing but I also have game pass anyway, so why would I bother slapping another fist full of cash down for something
I already pay for?
well you already good init m8
got the standard, runs fine on 1060gtx in 1080p medium settings out of the box, my house is in it, 10/10 gud gaem
I still think the Microsoft store is bugged when it comes to upgrade packs. How is the upgrade from Standard to Premium Deluxe cheaper than upgrading to Premium from the Deluxe version?
Can you do a video with offline play and an area not cached on harddrive yet please
Have only a 2mbps bandwidth and like to see the offline un cached terrain.
Cheers
You can Manually cache places , you load the game up and set a location you want to download and keep on the hard drive that way even if you have slow internet you could DL it and then fly it in high detail. I think there is a video online already showing the difference with the base low detail mode if you googe it :)
@@GamerMuscleVideos oh, that is super cool, im also on a slow internet connection, knowing that really ease my mind. Cache for life. It also stay on the hard drive (like forever) until i decide otherwise, right?
You've probably answered this elsewhere but what controls are you using and how have you got them mounted? The wife would kill me if I bought more chunks of aluminium for the x-spare room
I'll show it in a video soon !
@@GamerMuscleVideos cheers!
Not disposable income but I put $10 or $20 in my Steam account every couple of weeks. That way I have money saved up in there for the latest games if needed. Then I was disappointed when I heard it won't be on Steam for the initial release. But low and behold it was there today for download! Yay!
Thanks for justifying my reasoning to go cheap and play it on the gamepass.
At some point I'll buy the game outright because it's bound to come down in price after release and maybe get included in discounts. The big question for me is whether to get in on steam or windows store. Not sure which would be a better platform for future DLC discounts, if at all.
I normally buy all my games on steam but because this is doing all the downloading in-game and its a Microsoft game Id personally buy it on Microsoft store , to be honest microsoft store on windows is not so bad as you can just add a link to desktop and you are good so you don't even have to look at the store layout stuff if you dont want to.
Is the Windows Store version a UWP app? If so, can you still mod it?
At some stage Steam will have it or the DLC on sale.
@GamerMuscleVideos I’d really recommend steam, the Microsoft Windows store has got better, but it really does not manage game installs\downloads very well, not sure if you were part of the Alpha\Beta or only jumped on the press release, but given the choice I’d take steam every day and I’d like to explain my experiences with FS2020 but I’ll just say nothing. I’ve been with gamepass since it was beta, to this day it’s ok if everything goes smoothly, but if something cocks up, or an update is too big, or you want to move files it can get beyond pulling teeth, the way windows locks the files is just *****, I would not even touch the windows store file permissions with a barge pole. I really can’t recall ever having any issues on steam apart from trying to play older games like Crysis, but that’s not exactly steams problem.
Hi Mr Muscle
Great video
Been looking forward to this game release but still not got a flight stick.
Will have to get one asap now.
Ps any landing you can walk away from is a good landing 😜
Bro you know what, i like you. Your a funny lad!
Thanks
This should be epic in VR.
If i buy the standard version can i upgrade at a later point and just pay the price difference?
Yes you can but I believe it maybe a tad more expensive when upgrading to the higher versions than if you had bought them outright initially - this however has not yet been confirmed by Microsoft.
Yes it is confirmed that you will be able to upgrade and that it will be more pricier than initially if you bought the edition you wanted. Now the question remains is how much more exactly will they ask for vs the initial price? Also another think to keep in mind. I highly doubt that you will be able to purchase planes or airports individually.
@@EvoUmbreon Deluxe upgrade - 79.99, Premium deluxe upgrade - 84,99, and Premium upgrade - 99.99USD This information i saw on some screenshots in marketplace
@@MySolarSystem Oh wow!! thats crazy! So thats right? like if you already purchased the Standard at $60 USD then if you want the Deluxe upgrade, you pay a total of $79.99 USD more? So then hypothetical overall total one would have spent to perform the upgrade from Standard to just Deluxe (middle version) would be $60+$79.99=$139.99
Bollocks, i purchased the 100 quid version on steam.
What a bell end.
You will probably still get the value out of it :P
@@GamerMuscleVideos I've just seen the IGN review.
I don't care now lol
Im sure the steam 2 hour policy only applies to actual play time (from the moment you launch the game)? Not the amount of time you have owned the game for.
Correct.
It will take an hour or so to install the game through the game as the games update takes place in the game not through steam
Its 2 hours play time or 2 weeks of ownership sitting on your hard drive.
Yes, but since the majority of the download will happen inside the game, and you have already said that it is measured from the moment you launch the game - I think you can put together the pieces.
if im gonna be honest, im either getting standard or premium deluxe. The one reason im considering the premium deluxe is for the 787 lol
Damn, I hoped for that to be in the standard version...
I used to play Flight Simulator X many years ago. My PC will handle this just fine. My question is can I use my yolk and throttle on my Xbox?
if they are supported on xbox then yes , I don't know which ones are though.
X-Plane series believes all countries drive on the right. MS-FS series has always put the traffic on the left in the UK and Japan. To me, it's this kind of attention to detail which puts FSX, P3D, and now MSF over and above anything in the X-Planes series.
Is there any difference between Standard Edition and Standard Game of the Year Edition???
The 90 gb update took about 5 hours for me.
Basic version and then wait for PMDG to move over their aircraft. Base sim has everything I need. Maybe a couple of 3rd party airports......maybe.
Just got a new Xbox and finally got this on gamepass. Diving into videos like this now to see how money addicted I can be 😆 so far I've kept it free... but I really really want the F-14 but 40 bucks us steep!
Thanks for the game pass option. Didn't have that in mind. I will try it this way. Also I dont want to purchase the current version when the 2024 version is on the horizon and looks absolutely stunning. 😂
So I need to pay a monthly fee or not? A game pass requires monthly payments? What happens if I choose the Xbox route?
But, the question is, Can you get the content later?, Can I buy the particular plane or airport I'm interested for?
Why does the plane bob all over the place while flying straight? Is it windy or something?
Getting tempted by the premium deluxe on the PC.
Currently only £65 from CDkeys.
Also I dont think you can use external storage if you have game pass edition, since you don't actually own it.
Getting the dvd's tbh
any benefit of pre-orderings?
I assume as i have a steam VR HMD that i will want the steam store version. I just wonder if there will be any even just minor performance differences between the store versions. I assume not but i have watched this happen before between oculus and steam store where one store version has better performance. anyways its a bit early to know that yet but was thinking of playing on tv monitor until then so i will need to make a choice soon.
£1 for the first month then £10.99 every month thereafter I think it is. Perfect for people who are on the fence.
And If your you're only in PC then it's 4 a month
£4 a month for the basic gamepass
@@AdaptedBass the value is insane and there is dirt rally 2 and mudrunner too for people who are more into driving sims
i will defenetly get the gamepass first, then maybe the deluxe version so i get Schiphol (Amsterdam airport)
