From the filmmakers behind the iconic Lethal Weapon series and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang comes summer 2016 release THE NICE GUYS, starring Hollywood all-stars Russell Crowe (Gladiator, LA Confidential) and Ryan Gosling (Drive, Crazy Stupid Love). Directed by pioneering writer/director Shane Black (Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, Iron Man 3, Lethal Weapon) and produced by Joel Silver (Lethal Weapon, The Matrix, Sherlock Holmes, Die Hard).
THE NICE GUYS follows wise-cracking detective Holland March (Gosling) and hard-edged enforcer Jackson Healy (Crowe) as an unlikely duo, investigating the apparent suicide of a young porn star in 1970s downtown Los Angeles. Also featuring Kim Basinger (LA Confidential), Matt Bomer (Magic Mike) and introducing talented young star Angourie Rice as March’s daughter ‘Holly’.
This movie deserved better box office returns.
inmoderate Right?!
I honestly think the promotion of it might have lacked. I saw it for the first time ever on free Cinemax this weekend on direct tv.
It was pretty funny, reminded me of "The Rockford Files" with Ritchie Brockelman.
@Jay Ess i dont like america, but america have nothing to do with the movie doing poorly. I dont remember the movies, but im pretty sure i remember Nice Guys came out between 2 other big movies and was just overshadow
Alastor255 who doesn’t like America?
@@romatic raise hand
Criminally Underrated movie
Just finished watching it, you are 100% right,”
Same with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, you should all watch it if you haven't! Another movie from Shane Black. Just as good and funny.
@@patl1749 the opening scene When RDJ invites the guy outside and gets his ass whooped is amazing
Future Cult Movie.
Ryan Gosling I knew was a great actor but was surprised at how funny he was. His Lou Costello routine with the dead body was hysterical.
I think hes a better comedic actor than a dramatic one, and im not dissing his dramatic acting
His funniest movie since, Drive
thanks Bill Burr
This movie was very good and extremely funny. Wish they made a sequel.
Sadly underrated, just like a lot of good movies nowadays.
@@ashtongreig4137 best movie in a decade.
@@andik70 it looks like one of those cult 80s movies who become “classics” except it is from 2015
@@ashtongreig4137 always people adding "nowadays" to everything nowadays...
Though with everything turning into a franchise I'm kind of ok that this was it.
Russel Crow doesn't even try...my god he's a pro
John Panic ii
When you act you don’t try
4 years later, but its Crow with an E, please edit your comment!
ryan is better
These two played off of each other so well. One of my favorite buddy cop duos!
The Bee was a practical effect?! Awesome!
THE SITE well they used a practical costume but the final product was edited to incorporate some CGI
Yeah, March, where the fuck have you been, man? Idiot. You didn't know that?
I was also suprised
Spotted the Stan Winston Studios veteran Shane Mahan working the puppet. He’s worked on lots of epic movies and TV from The Terminator, Aliens, Predator, all the way to Ahsoka. 😎
lol at his leather jacket squeaking like that
It's a shame you never see Angourie Rice as one of the starring actors when this film is talked about
She's genuinely on the level of Gosling and Crowe with how naturally the comedy is coming to her
What are you doing here?
"Giving you a rim job."
"Rim shot. Rim shot."
LOL.
This movie is a classic. As funny a movie as I’ve ever seen
The scene when he asks his daughter about him being bad.😃 So many things that are so deep and yet so profoundly funny. But somehow I had the insecure feeling after watching the movie that it really tells something hidden in our society nowdays. The cruelty of power is a scarry thing. And the humanity of the characters is so amazing. I had a lot of laughs watching it but also felt connected to them on a deep level. Very cool movie indeed.
"That's a lot of blood. That's a lot of blood." *Immediatly passes out* Then this fuckin scene when he puts his cap on the nun's head. Fucking hilarious
This movie was the first movie in YEARS that actually had me belly laughing over and over again all the way through.
3:04 That street light technique is clever
9:21 cursed image
That is the loudest jacket I've ever heard.
This is why making a good movie is difficult, you have no idea how the movie will come off at the end
04:16 Saw this in theaters.
I would never suspected that the dead guy in this scene was Robert Downey, Jr.
This has to be the most under rated movie of all time. The comedic chemistry between Ryan and Russell is f*n amazing, God i hope they make a sequel!!!.
When people ask me why I scream like a little girl I say "I don't, I scream like Ryan Gosling"
9:21 this is so funny for no reason
Would love a sequal to this movie, love the dynamatic duo of Ryan and Russell.
0:47 That gun toss and catch was slick
seeing russell crowe teach the girls how to do the snap snap pop thing (idk what its actually called) is so cute to me
8:26 it kind of bugged me how many rounds he had in that AK, shame that they edited out the reloads. Sweet to see that they used real blanks for the shoot!
Right? They even taught him to do the flick where you eject the empty mag with the new one. That would of been a cool shot showing that he knows how to cycle a weapon. It wouldn’t be a pointless shot either since it goes to his character being proficient at what he does.
Shane Black directed Kiss Kiss Bang Bang as well and is set to direct another Noir film. I need him to never retire and keep these hilarious noirs going!
5:46 Love this moment, just a simple trick amazing someone.
Mat Bomer deserves more lead roles in action movies !
A magnificent duet, this film needs to be continued as planned!!! Unfortunately, time does not wait.
One of my favorite actions comedies. I wish Ryan did more of these types of films cause he’s hilarious. Gray Man for example took itself way too seriously especially since it had Ryan and Chris Evans who are both great at comedy.
It still feels like I’m watching the movie these actors are incredible
This isn't B-roll (okay, maybe a few) or bloopers. It's behind the scenes shots. Great in any event.
🎉
It was excellent!! Just watched it! Literally had tears rolling down my face the whole movie! These two are great together! Wish they’d do an NG2! The daughter is excellent, too!
Yoooo I just learned dead Sid Shattuck was a hidden cameo by RDJ... like Daniel Craig in the force awakens wearing stormtrooper gear.
I love this movie, so funny, such good chemistry between the cast.
OH I HAD TO QUESTION THE MERMAIDS! AND WHAT WHERE YOU DOING WHEN I WAS WORKING!?
lol right, such a great movie!!!.
The nice guys was a far better movie than I expected
Loved the movie Wish they've done a sequel
“Rimshot!!!! Rimshot…”
Most fun I’ve ever had watching a movie the script and cast are amazing. Definitely my favorite Gosling movie
I feel bad for the guy that had to edit around the squeaks of Russell Crowe's jacket.
9:22
This goes hard. Feel free to screenshot it
That light blue leather jacket really steals the show..
I would LOVE to see a sequel to the film.
Ryan Gosling, 'Tell me the truth, am i a bad dad?'
Angourie Rice, 'Yes'
He says "tell me the truth and dont take it easy on me just cause I'm your dad; am I a bad person?"
heartbroken that this movie wasn't the success it should have been. A sequel could have been on the way by now.
you know its good when im laughing at the scene from the behind the scenes perspective
I feel sorry for everyone who hasn't seen The Nice Guys
Underrated film.
The scenes look so dull. The real magic happens in editing.
but it’s good to see how magic was born
It makes you realise that magic isn’t real.
Dream job: whatever that guy's doing to Russell Crowe's hair at 10:55
Underrated.... deserves so much more.
the production design for this film looks amazing
a masterpiece of a movie.
Best movie of 2016.
I love Shane Black. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Nice Guys are two of my favorite movies :D
9:21 Ryan 3-Foot
8:26 Looks like somebody knows how properly reload an AK.
The first frame of the shot at 9:20 needs to be a meme
4:12 those expressions 🤩😍
This movie is so understatement. They both have suck good chemistry
0:31 did you know that Ryan gosling actually broke 2 toes in this scene?
so you can just realize how stunning and talented Margaret Qualley is.
I love this movie I think I've watched it 10 times or more... I was so hoping for a nice guys 2 or something
I wonder if Russel recommended Angourie Rice for that role. I mean, she's an Aussie actor who's so young, that I can't imagine she'd be very well known in the usa. It'd be kinda cool if Russel knew her and was the one to suggest her for the role.
I love seeing the different angles, so much goes into making a movie🤘🏼
Russell Crowe is fcking amazing actor
One of my favorites! I hope they are in another movie soon.
11:01 looks like ryan took some real hits lol
Russell crowe a jacket was so rubbery lmfao
This looks so much fun!
If I ran a movie theatre I would have this with Freebie & The Bean as a double bill
0:48 nicely done
...I've just clocked who that guy is on the 78 poster...its god damn Mel Brooks!!
Now I want a cut with more of bee lines.
They actually filmed the bowling alley exterior in my home town. It sadly got destroy.
Utterly enjoyable, throughout, non stop✔️
98% B-roll, 2% bloopers. Don't get me wrong, B-roll can be fascinating, but bloopers are cool.
6:50 holy shit the bee was real animatronics 🤣🤣
Goshdang!! I knew that bee looked pretty real. It actually was real?!
Fun fact the corpse of sid shaddick is robert downey jr in a uncredited cameo.
No way
It's Shane black actually.
Time to watch this movie again.
I liked the silent dance party the most.
Has the young girl been in anything else? She was so good in this movie as a pretty much lead role. This movie is criminally underrated.
It said bloopers and nobody blooped at all. I’m sad
I liked this movie, reminded me a bit of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Of course cause it is from the same director.
Great movie but there are no bloopers in this video!
where is misty mountain scene?
Very underrated movie.
Lmao just realised Ryan Gosling is Tangerine from Bullet Train played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson before Aaron Taylor-Johnson played Tangerine, they even have the same moustache and goatee
I am so curious about how they mix the sound.
Goes on the same shelf with Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang. Both Shane Black projects.
The sound of that leather jacket lol
Uno dei film più divertenti e fatti bene che abbia visto negli ultimi anni! Purtroppo non ha goduto del successo che avrebbe meritato!
This makes me want to watch the movie.
I dont think this was underrated. The first time I heard about this movie was at award shows
I always wanted to be in person to work in movies! To see what it looks like! Even though tv dead these days! Great movie!
Camaro was badass
Musta missed the single blooper? Anyone got a time-stamp?
6:27
They really crashed that poor firebird
i need to watch this movie again lol
