I CAN'T BELIEVE what I witnessed today as GERMANY were knocked out in the group stages of the Fifa world cup for the 2nd time in a row! Nobody could have seen this coming, absolute scenes inside that stadium today, I still can't quite believe it. TRULY a special experience!

You can’t say “leave politics out of football” and the come to a video about football and comment about politics. It makes you a hypocrite and I don’t share your views at all.
Germany taught a lesson to the whole world in the best stage possible. I applaud.
Unfortunately, the whole thing is about specific skills that germans seem to have lost. So quickly!
Well Germany & several other Countries are the one bringing identity politics to football in the FIRST place, so you can't really blame people for mocking them out of it. And serves them right. That's what you get for focusing on glorifying sexual orientation, instead of actuall skills & strategy in football. Get woke, go home early. Especially given Japan is a nation widely accepting of the LGBTQ+ community, I feel sorry for them having their amazing sporting achievement used as some sort of victory for homophobes. Brilliantly said though Ellis, loving your coverage of the tournament!

On the one hand you have the happy, attacking and optimistisc football the japanese do, they play til the last minute. Spanish and esspecially german football tries to get the opponent booked, fool people into giving penalty's and ehen they are ahead they stall for time like crazy.

Germany had been weak and uncoordinated since we won in 2014. Hansi Flick did a good job at getting them back on track but we looked lazy and careless most of the tournament. They even looked asleep singing the anthem! Deutschland needs its balls back. 🇩🇪

Germany still could’ve gone through with a 7 goal win. Considering they conceded 2 poor goals and only scored 4 of their 11 shots on target (32 overall, including hitting the post three times), it wasn’t that unrealistic. Rare for an Englishman but I love Germany and ideally them and Japan would’ve gone through for me, but they only have themselves to blame given how this game went.
