We heavily underestimated how long these videos would take to do….but I must admit that Moosie and I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of reliving our lives.I hope you have enjoyed it, too. In the next video…WHAT IT TAKES TO HAVE A HAPPY RETIREMENT…Our Version…we hope to help you prepare for and enjoy your leisure years, however you see them. It IS possible, My Friends,…..with some good planning, gratitude and acceptance, and a great positive attitude! Thank you for watching. ❤️

I know how Debbie felt being homesick for her little sister. I’m second oldest & have 6 siblings. My youngest sister is 12 years younger than I am. I got married the day before Easter & on Easter morning, I wanted to be home with my family for the Easter egg hunt. I probably would t have missed it so much except my mom packed my Easter basket filled with Easter candy & put it in our car before we left after the wedding.

Loved Palm Desert. My grandparents lived there for years right on golf course . I loved it as a kid . I sang for Sony Bono and his wife one year for Xmas holiday . My grandma helps with running his office .
What an interesting and fun life! I'm sure there were difficult times along the way but so much was so positive! I love how you and moose were willing to take on new challenges, move out of your comfort zones an experienced new places, people, careers etc. You raised a beautiful family!

Aside from raising six gorgeous children, you and Moose worked hard and were so successful in whatever you set out to achieve. Although I’m sure there must have been ups and downs along the way, your lives are the ultimate success story. Oh my! I don’t know how a family can fit so many experiences into life at one time. Talk about multi tasking!!! You are such an amazing couple. Thank you for sharing the old photos. The clothes and hairstyles bring me back to those years. When you lived in Palm Desert, did you know Joanna Hodges? She was the founder of the Waring International Piano Competition held in Palm Desert. She was my best friend and mentor to our daughter, who later became her assistant teacher. Perhaps our paths touched more than once. Also, Henry’s brothers were pilots. His youngest brother flew commercial planes for the airlines and the middle brother had his own plane at an airport in Orange County. Oops, I just went down your rabbit hole…lol. What beautiful memories that you all have. The children have experienced such a diverse life. From New Jersey to Scotland to northern California, SoCal with a sprinkling of Vegas and Mexico. I understand Nanny about how you had “empty nest syndrome”. We mother hens like to keep watch over our chicks. To see our children as they grow their own families and carry on our legacy. That used to be easier in other generations and in other cultures. I don’t think that men have that same “ache”. I still have Battenberg lace. I used to make it from scratch. I loved seeing you girls at the shop with the collars. I miss the good old days, do you? This is a subject that perhaps you could address. The feeling that the best parts of our lives are behind us. Do to aging, financial and physical limitations, we cannot plan and look forward to new adventures and fulfilling lives as we used to. Yes, we try to adapt, however, it can be depressing at times. My mind is still young at heart and wants to do wonderful things. Then my body steps in and says Oh No You Don’t!… Darn! I have always faced things head on. On the surface I smile and say that I am fine. But deep down, sometimes I am not. So how do we adjust? Putting on that brave face just does not feel right at times. I am not one to give up. Yet I miss the ability to live as we used to. Especially when the love of my life is gone. I apologize for going here. But I miss those times when I felt needed and appreciated. When life was full. Yes I keep busy, but it is very different. I hope that someday you can speak to these things. I think that it would touch more people’s hearts than you think. Maybe other viewers have some ideas. Thank you so very much for sharing these wonderful stories and photos with us. I am enjoying them immensely. I smile and even giggle at some of the anecdotes. I can read between the lines, what you must have faced as a woman, wife and mother. Bravo to you Nanny. You have built your channel and bravely faced the challenges that come with it. I have the utmost respect for you on so many levels. Perhaps I am more sentimental right now since it is my birthday week. Another year older, but wiser? Ummm. Oh well. Those of us that grew up in the 50’s and on can relate to your lovely story. The secret to life is faith and willingness to take that leap of faith. Real estate investments have always been a wise choice. Just have to know when to invest and when to sell. Can’t wait to see the next chapter in your life. Love ya’ll.

I really have enjoyed your stories. I’m a romantic, like you. I feel like you were the glue that made things happen & kept the family together. I also have read between the lines. I remember in one of your videos you said that one of the ways to keep a marriage strong was to forgive. Usually when a woman says forgive is because she has been betrayed. I wonder if Moose had a gambling problem & the issues that come with that? I’m glad you both found a way to work thru that troublesome time. Bless you both & your beautiful family 🌷
No gambling problem, Jillian, , …or anything like that, TG…Forgiveness is or should be in everything’s life….just for all the little things we all say or do..in a moment of frustration, etc, that might hurt…We have been blessed that we both can do that. Life is real. 😘💕❤️

What wonderful and precious memories, and you Nanny, are so talented. I personally have never traveled more that three hundred miles, in any direction , from where I was raised. I still live in my home town and have for 82 years. I am blessed to have all of my family near and we get together often. I`ve always been a home body and never really cared about traveling, but I enjoy hearing of others and their adventures and yours are very exciting. Love and Blessings to You and your family.
