Just started using a DSLR, this helped a lot. Straight to the point!
+Jeremy S I've been using go pro for the past 4 years i want a dslr a really good quality for videos for skateboarding. My friend uses the canon t3i and its very clear. what would you recommend?
Charlie Smock hah for christmas i got the t5i and i love it
awesome series can't wait for more!!
These vids are lifesaving cousin. I just got a dslr to shoot some car footage and know NOTHING about this technical stuff. Thank YOU
Been waiting on the edge of
U seat for this!
This was such a dope series idea
Stoked on the B-roll and Fisheye I really need some tips for that!
Nigel alexander is the best!

So sick! This series are going be sick
***** Thanks sooo much my dream is to be a filmer gonna practice now with this
You should do one about how to set up a cheap camcorder, most kids start off with that ! cool series, loved all the videos !
where was this when I started filming Nigel? haha sick tips brother!
Hell yeah next week should be tight
Get those batteries I wanna see that tre-flip lol ....good video
Good video !!!
RESPECT
Legend
Great!
Buenos trucos para grabar tomas de acción!!
can you do this series but specifically with go pros?
Wait so, when I get home after filming (even if it was short), I have to take out my the tape I put in even if it has a lot more room for more footage?
I want more! Fast!!!!
I have a Canon eos 100 d but can only film in 720p 50 Fps or 1080p 25 fps. Is the 720p 50fps good?
great Tips Nigel but i have one question..
I heard that the shutter speed has to be double the Frame rate....I film with my 700d with 720 60FSP und 125 Shutter speed......so if I go up with the shutter speed the video get´s sharper then?
I hope that I'll learn something new. Feels like its gonna be like Ride Channel - In Focus
You should make one video on filming with a gopro
I have trouble viewing 60fps personally. For me the only time I would use 60fps is when doing slo mo's. But that's IMO.
can you do this for drifting/cars ?!
Hell yeah. Already helping. Are you gonna be talking about specific cameras or does most of this apply to everything out there? I have a T3i btw.
***** Yeah! I have a t3i with a long lens and fisheye some tips would be awesome!
+Paul Knight I've been using go pro for the past 4 years i want a dslr a really good quality for videos for skateboarding. My friend uses the canon t3i and its very clear. what would you recommend? or any other lenses that would make the t3i even better
on what speed timeline do you cut the movie when you shot in 60 frames?
I can shoot 1080 60, but should I back it down to 720p? Planning on using a fisheye
I know, that e. g. Ninjah Lifestyle is filming with a t3i, but he manages to have 1080p at 60 fps. But the camera can only shoot that in 720p. does that mean you can render it up?
Can you manually set the kelvin # on your camera?
I would be so annoyed if I had to white balance on something white every day.
is a Canon PowerShot SX410 IS good for starting ?
how do you set the shutter speed on a t3i
nice
Can anyone tell me what the panasonic camera is on the intro
what camera are you using for the skating clips in this video?
You forgot to explain that is important to record on 60fps to be able to edit an slowmo in some part if you are gonna render the final cut on 30fps. But! if you want to render to 60fps the final cut well.. u should record on 120fps. Otherwise most videos are in 30fps final cut.
I'm thinking about getting the Panasonic PV GS120. Does anyone know if it takes sd or tapes?
+Tyler Grogg it takes SD... dont get it
Why not?
Tyler Grogg why do you want it
What is the best iso to set
whats the best fisheye lens for a canon under 400
OPTEKA is really good I just got one for $180
But your shutter speed should be even or double etc your frame rate (so it matches). So in this case you should use 90, 120, 180, 240, 300 and so on.
Isn't shutter speed just an amount of time the shutter is open? It's not how many times it's open...right? That's what frame rate is. So if frame rate is 30 then the shutter opens 30 times per second and the shutter speed is just the amount of time it's open each time, so a low shutter speed it's open longer, therefore more blurry, and a high shutter speed it's open for a shorter amount of time, therefore less blurry.
For some reason I preferred the 30 fps over 60 🤔
what about the iso
song?
no more tre flips down el toro now:(
what does the I in 1080p/60i mean ?
interlaced
What is dump your footage?
ɷɷɷ I Havee Watchedddd Thisss Moviee Leakedd Versionn Here : - t.co/e6QlTccFx6
60p= for slow motion on a 30p or 24p timeline. Or video game recording ONLY. Looks so bad and artificial when played back at normal speed. 24p has been cinema standard and 30p broadcast/sports standard for years and years, for good reason.
Truthfully its all up to the editor to decide. But personally I'm just not into it.
Funny that it's a how to while the main talking clip is completely underexposed haha. Cool video for beginners though. That's how I learned all about cameras was from youtube haha
Why didn't you explain Kelvin to people?
Hpx-170, Hmc-150, or Hvx-200??
hpx170 is.. however it captures onto P2 which is expensive (same for 200) and 150 is onto SD cards..
Thanks man! I ended up going with the hpx-170 because of the quality in colors despite the expensive p2 cards
thats alright dude.. you're one lucky man haha
Talking about setting up cameras and the one that was used for the talking sections was not set up properly itself! .......
30 vs 60fps is preference. c'mon dude...
*is. I suck at english
