    Erin, I like your tutorial here. Do you ever do them for a MAC?

      Thank you for watching my video! I haven't done any tutorials for Mac yet. However, it's definitely something I am considering.

      @@erinwrightwriting thank you! I would LOVE something on advanced formatting. Really hard-to-figure-out documents and their differing format changes.within one. Thanks again for responding.

    Many thanks for the tutorials. great help!.
    I saw our final revised word documents in PDF, and all the changes were in blue fonts, so its very easy to find or notice what are the changes in the revised document. any tutorial how to make that?
    again, many thanks in advance.

    Thank you very much ma'am. I am really worried with color of track changes.
    Since initially all insertions are in red color in my document.
    If I open the document again, the color of inserting text changes( blue).

      Thank you for watching! If you are using Word's new "Modern" comments, these steps won't work. However, I have a newer tutorial showing how to change the color of Modern comments: czcams.com/video/qVJjn2l_BSU/video.html. I hope that helps!

    hi Erin - this is super clear, thanks but am I hearing this right? In MS Word for Mac 2011 (v. 14.7) you can view a document and show comments from multiple users with each comment having a different color - I can't seem to find a way to do this in Word 16.43 for the Mac - which is much more windows-like in its look... is it because this option doesn't exist? Any clarity you - or any other user here - can provide would be much appreciated!

    • @erinwrightwriting
      @erinwrightwriting  Před rokem

      Hello, Dave. Thank you so much for watching! I'm afraid you may have missed a bit of the introduction. Word doesn't provide a way to assign different colors to different reviewers. I do hope they add that option in the future!

    • @dasterndastern
      @dasterndastern Před rokem

      @@erinwrightwriting Thanks again for the reply - and sorry I was unclear. I did see that from your introduction that this version of Word doesn't provide that useful option - the ability to show comments from different users in different screen colors - but what I didn't make clear perhaps is that in the older version of Word for Mac - much older, as in 2011 older - you can do this. It's odd that they eliminated this feature in the later version for the Mac... and I agree with you - it's something I hope they add back in in future releases.

      @erinwrightwriting  Před rokem

      @@dasterndastern Thank you for the clarification. I am primarily a PC user, so I didn't realize this was possible in older Mac versions. Perhaps we should start a campaign to bring it back! :)

    Dear ma'am.
    I have a issue with comment in track changes. I have two laptops with different user names( one in office and another at my home)
    I opened the document and apply track changes in both Systems.
    When use one system, in the comment it showing one name (Let hemanth).
    In another system, the name changed due to different name (Let kumar).
    Both names are available in the document. But I want only one name.
    Please reply regarding this. Thank in advance.

      Thank you for watching! Unfortunately, there is no way to change user names connected to existing tracking to anything other than the default label "Author," as shown in my previous tutorial: czcams.com/video/9UqdhsTE8qE/video.html. However, you can change your name for new tracking, as shown here: czcams.com/video/2FAPpQaCTYg/video.html. Best of luck!

    So if Word assigns red to one author and a slightly-darker-but-almost-indistinguishable shade of red to another author, you're stuck with it? It's so frustrating.
