Tool is one of those bands that has the ability to their entire discography live. Saw them for the first time in 2016 and they opened up with this song and The Grudge.
Also glad you're doing Salival. I could watch Third Eye reactions all day. I really love the little nuances in this version compared to the studio. Love them both equally for different reasons. I have to say I think the live opening here sans Bill Hicks, (he's amazing so no dig on him), but it just locks into it better somehow.
I got to see Tool in 2002. They played this right before DRT in it's entirety. It was during this song that I felt taken away. DRT being the icing on the trip. It's a special Tool song...and that's saying something.
By the way WHERE ARE YOU TOOL ARMY??? This guy is doing a great job so far we should of had him at 10K Subs a couple of weeks ago! Don't know if PooTube is not recommending his vids or something but we gotta promote him get him cranking. Give his channel a shout out when dropping comments on other reaction channels. Peace
Dude look up tool 2002 epic final show lateralus tour. Go to the 55 minute mark and be amzed. Its the best live version of this song ive ever heard. They just jam on the beginning for like 5 mins. And the entire last hour of the show is incredible as well.
I was at the first stop in Atlanta on the Lateralus tour. It was fucking epic. People had opened the windows upstairs in the venue and people were standing outside in the parking lot so they could listen. On a fun side note, I had been going through some personal stuff and had been like "well, give me a sign" and they opened with the live debut of The Grudge and I was like, "ok fine then" because it couldn't have been more relevant.
Yay! Salival! Can't wait for Pushit and No Quarter! You should listen to the Led Zeppelin No Quarter 1st if you aren't familiar with it and re-listen to the studio Pushit on your own time as a refresher. 😉

just a warning for those suggestions to listen to the original no quarter by led zepplin. videos with reactions to led zepplin usually get nuked so maybe listen to the original on your own or just show us a snippet of you reacting to it before the Tool cover. So that way you don't waste time editing a video that will get probably get taken down.
You should cap off your Tool journey by watching Danny Carey's live drum cam version of Pneuma from Tool's latest album. Seeing his drumming is believing

Agreed. Both versions are top 5 for me. But I LOVE the Think for Yourself intro better - and I LOVE Bill Hicks.
