The Peacekeeper is one of the strongest weapons in Apex Legends. But, it's the definition of "hit or miss". We've all experienced the dread of hitting 9's on our opponents and losing right after. This quick guide gives some tips that I wish I had known earlier and it also corrects some major misconceptions about the Peacekeeper.

tip 1: find pk and pick it up
tip 2: find mastiff
tip 3: drop pk and pick up mastiff
pk is bettee than the mastiff even with the mastiffs recent spread buff

Another thing, take your time, well not too long but enough to line up your shots. You will not be hitting those insane flicks until you learn how to consistently hit high pumps. Flicking will come naturally the better you are with the gun. I used to always flick my pk shots which I found is a big no no, take your time, line up the shot and you will eventually be hitting those nasty flicks.
Wise words, when I make a fully flushed PK video I’m definitely going to say something like that because it’s completely true.

Also one thing I noticed when using the PK is that there are some movements that would obscure the line of sight between the crosshair and the target, because of how big the PK gun model is. One motion that I remember is when you're crouching or sliding forward and looking left-upward quickly (more than 90 degrees to the left). I think the lead aiming & prediction tip will be useful for this + focusing only on the crosshair, not the gun model

i'm ironically rlly good with the PK, so i don't need this video and dont want to watch in case it changes my already comfortable habits, but i do want to share what i did to improve my PK, real quick.
i mainly trained my reaction time with flicks, gun combat during movement and motion tracking in the firing range. i did this with most guns as well, and i put myself up to unbelievly high standards so that even when i would inevitably fail those crazy standards, at least i will have still raised my overall gun skill. i need to do this again because it's been a damn while and there were some guns i hadn't trained or that hadn't come out yet. probably why i suck at close range with the Nemesis lmao
also, i'm a console player so i did all of this on console FPS with a controller. still, i was in my "aim assist is lame" era, so i had my AA turned off. i've since turned it on, as that is a ridiculous mindset, but i have it on PC AA

there's also this one thing i noticed to get more pk shots
doing a faide slide to an opponent basically guarantees a full pk hit and is way more consistent than just strafing left or right/mirror strafing then shooting.

Honestly I've been using the peacekeeper for seasons and I've never thought to turn the choke off
If i'm getting close to a spot like a house and I know my enemies are inside. It's better to get in with my PK in hands and do the entry dmg with 1 PK shot and swap to my AR weapon or pump for a second PK shot? I'm not sure if its worth it to pump a second hit intead of swaping to the main weapon.
Personally I would disable the choke only if your finding yourself dying a lot waiting for the charge up to land all pellets until you get used to when you should and shouldn't be either
1. Ads
2. Using the shotgun at mid range.
Lastly I would also get used to the charge up in the firing range. The choke charging through each phase has a Reticle that shrinks I think 4 times the inner portion of that shrinking Reticle is where the outer pellets will land. Also you do have about 1 maybe 2 seconds after ads where the pk holds its charge and so long as you even briefly ads again it will continue to hold its charge or continue building it. Really helpful for getting those peak shots in when your trying not to get beamed by an smg or an auto at mid range.

Aiming your shots with your movement or body instead of actually moving the crosshair is also what I see faide use most of time when sliding in front of enemies and just waiting for the crosshair to center on the target

you said disabling choke doesnt affect spread pattern. So enabling choke makes spread pattern small? So did you say that if your aim is on point you want smaller spread?
Correct, enabling the choke makes the spread smaller while ADSing over time while it’s charging. So, if your aim is good the smaller spread makes it so you have a higher chance of hitting body shots

disabling the choke is for hard stuck diamond players... once your good at using the choke its literally insane. i run a 2x on my pk

Only way to make it smaller in game is to aim down sights
You know its a small detail but knowing the spread isnt random and is ACTUALLY a star... for some reason makes me much less mad at the pk. Before this i have had insane and horrible clips with it but seeing it now in my head as a moving (after shot) star with a slight delay from fire to actually flying, makes me really see it as much less of a gamble.
Yea my Pk is probably German, all it does is nein.

I use a trick that works like a charm and I never hit 9 with pk. And the trick is to never pick this gun

Why would you jump strafe on a peacekeeper fight? Aren’t you making your movement highly predictable?
Aiming a little bit ahead of your opponent isn't a bad tip but the explanation is kinda wrong. It has more to do with reaction time, the moment your opponent is in the crosshair you decide to shoot, but by the time you press the button he is not.
At that range, projectile speed shouldn't be an issue, what is in your crosshair when you press your mouse should get hit. Take another look at your example where you shoot the horizon, you slow down the video when the crosshair centers on the horizon, but on closer inspection when the fire animation triggers the horizon is way off the crosshair.

@@HamkkeTogether no bro, yea pk hipfire is insane. but there's times to use it and times not to. like if someone is in your face or peaking a door close up, yea hipfire. but I'm an x pred and 4 time masters player. i run a 2x hcog on my pk and use the choke all the time. like if your engaging a new team from a distance i go 1 charged pk shot. then push with my primary, nemesis, flatline a gun like that. and try and finish the knock with the pk again. the pk is almost a sniper fully charged
