@@KlaymenDel yes it does pick up pet hair. Still need to clean it but the pet hair that wasn't vacuumed or cleaned up it will pick it up. I rent and the people before had a pet or 2 not sure how many. I have no pets but this air purifier is picking up pet hair which is crazy 😳 since I don't have pets. So yes it does lol 😆

This may help filter the current air form smoke but you most likely need an ozone machine for that!

Why didn't the blue light turn red when you used the smoke?
I want to see you test all of the nuwave oxypure air purifiers (there are 4 I believe). Those are way more expensive but 3 of them are all washable filters. 1 has 3 washable filters and 1 HEPA/Charcoal filter that last up to a year but comes with 4 extra filters (5 total). 3 and 5 year warranty from the manufacturer and all 4 are smart purifiers so you can use an app with them.
Tell them to send us their units and we will look into them!

so just to be clear, it can be used as a regular fan? My dog sheds a lot and I came acros this product im still a bit conficited whether it works as a fan or jsut an air purifier!

How often and expensive do the filters have to be changed?
There are three filters on this model. The pre-filter needs to be washed when it gets dirty but lasts literally forever. the charcoal filter is supposed to be washed every three months. The HEPA filter, in theory, should be replaced once a year but you do *not* really have to do this, it will signal you when it actually needs replacement. I have five of these in different parts of my house and have spent very little on filters over the past four years of using them.

Mine is always blue i did the matches test and fart test it doesn't turn red. Why??
Probably too small a quantity of pollutants to change the overall air quality/volume of your space!

Smoke machine like that for testing is not a good example as the liquid and the smoke is greasy stuff !! Real test should be done, with incense cones, sticks, and or matches.
