      @@RoniForeva This is not an English lesson pitting continental Africans against Diasporas, this is about pain. Do you have any idea how painful it is to hear Africans saying, "This is the castle where the slaves were kept?" Those words come across as cold and callous. It sounds as though the ancestors were born slaves. Continental Africans have to realize that these ancestors were their own relatives that were captured and ENSLAVED. All I am asking is to please show OUR ancestors-YOUR ancestors some respect. They were not from a different planet, they are Us in the Diaspora, and they are YOU on the continent.

    • @RoniForeva
      @RoniForeva Před 4 lety +1

      Sunkiss Flower i understand what you are saying but my statement still stands that defining the difference between slaves and enslaved is a new phenomenon for diasporans in America let alone africans who just relearning this history on a mass scale thanks to the year of return. Plus how do are you gonna get mad at us and get offended for not knowing the difference when English isn’t even our first language

    • @SunkissFlower
      @SunkissFlower Před 4 lety +1

      @@RoniForeva "Enslaved," and "Slaves," is NOT a new phenomenon for me. I was born and raised in the Caribbean where they taught us our history in school. I knew from jump that my ancestors were sold into slavery. Because I point out something doesn't mean that I am mad, quite the contrary. I want to make people aware that words matter. Sometimes words carry more weight than a brick.

      Yes, this is about more than money. It is spiritual. But it is a first order of business that African tourism, industry and businesses should benefit greatly from our visit just as much as Paris, London, Japan or any part of the world we travel. This is what makes the keepers of African culture strong. I would far much rather give my dollars to my African family than any of these institutions here in the United States that never never invest back into the black communities, gobal or local. I think it's degrading to call these people "money hungry". Why roll out a red carpet to someone like Mercedes and ignore these African brilliant engineers developing world class African made cars? Why should an African restaurant not benefit? There are countries on this planet that thrive entirely off tourism. It's what makes them strong. WHY NOT GHANA or any region of our African ancestral lands? We need to celebrate African food, African fashion and Industries like textiles, black soap and shea butter etc. in every way and the best and most immediate way is to bring our spending power to regenerate Africas rebirth. And fuel Africa's renaissance! If these people are strong economically, the more African culture is gonna have muscle to define itself to the world and build it's own infrastructure for future visitors. This is Providing jobs for young people. The deeper stuff is the spiritual connection, and how those forest and sacred trees remember us who have been away so long. Supporting African tourism is part of our work. Love and Peace family.

Showing how businesses are also gaining from this is going to priotise economic vultures. Resettling excludes ecinomic gains, there is more ficus to be given on social issues rather than economical.
