Hey thanks for watching the video!
Excellent drone shots / interesting camera angles. You sure make “routine” look interesting. Thanks for inviting us in to your daily dairy life.
❤❤❤ all the different angles when you were loading the solid 💩 onto the trailer, especially the one from the tree 🎄. Another enjoyed video, thank you. Have a gnite. Always ❤ it when your Dads in the videos.
It’s 2023! Your dad is a cool guy!
It is amazing how once your used to smell it doesn't bother you.
I'm not used to it now and it would probably take at least a week around cattle to get used to it again.
Nice video shots. We appreciate your hard work.
Thanks for watching!
Always enjoyable Thx
Spreading manure is the first step in growing the crop. Keep up the great videos.
Your family must really love this life to work so hard, keeping the farm looking nice and tidy, and to work such long days. It’s very entertaining to watch, keep up the good work!
I have wondered but did not have the fortitude to ask about what it smells like on the farm. Glad you explained and now i know. Thanks. Your Dad has a great sense of humor. Great video. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Hi, this farm lady knows how that stockpiled manure can smell😳😳. Love your videos.
Another great video Jan! Thanks for sharing. Its good to see you putting your #2 product to good use... All the best and God Bless. 🙏❤🇺🇸
Excellent video Jan! Best wishes on the PTO repair and finding the chain bar. Enjoyed the video. Thanks!
Thanks friend Jan, great new video.👍
Thanks for watching!
Lovely, always admirer to be like you.and have a big farm for my family
LOVE the drone shots. (from one Dutch kid to another)
You out did yourself with the drone shots on this one. The straight from above actually gave me a bit of vertigo. Hopefully that other bar turns up either that or you will find it when you are cultivating. Glad to hear you are combining some rye. I was trying to think where the straw was going to come from this year. Hopefully it will bale for you without turning into chaff again.
We started swathing the rye today!
@@saskdutchkid Thanks best of luck with harvest.
Check the pto switch on the console and the connections to it. Switches sometimes go bad & connections are always suspect.
Oh my gosh, COFFEE, YES! I'm about to head towards the kitchen and get me some, right now, YAYE!!!
Haha nice
I was thinking that the pile was real dry also! I used to drive a city bus with 5 computers operating the systems, when a system light would come on the mechanics would have us pull over and shut down the bus and restart, 9 times out of 10 that would fix it! When I was about 10 I would be on the sort gate , I got fast at swinging a gate!
Great drone footage around the spreader!
Thanks!
another awesome video. Good luck on find that other bar thing
Thanks!
Your dad is smiling but also very few words but i like his smile.
Greetings from the Netherlands
Great video
8:04 I really like that guy’s sense of humor! 😂😂
I'm going to have to say Dad is got the Man of Steel when it comes to Turning cattle back😊
💪🏻💪🏻 thanks
I wonder why the moisture didn't drain into the sandy ground there. Your repair guy will have to watch the spreader a bit closer so that stuff doesn't fall off. I hope you find the other bar before it finds you. You are multi tasking all the time working and recording. Anything you do is appreciated and enjoyed. Good video. Pax.
If the only time the PTO is a problem is on start up i would guess it needs to be changed to heavy load start up.
It sould say heavy in the corner post when you start it up.
There's no need for you to have it on light.
If it is on light it shouts off because it takes to long to start.
❤
Gorgeous SK sky!
Great video brother from the 117 degree imperial county California 👍👍🇺🇲
That’s to hot!
Yaeeks, that's hot Francisco....stay hydrated my friend, 96° here in NE rural Ohio
Great video!
A small problem can take forever to find and sort out!
Real Time waisting as well!
Try threatening the tractor with a very big hammer 😂😅!
I like the way you think! 🤣
Sweet drone shots Jan. It's amazing that hauling sh_t can be entertaining
I do my best
Very nice! What percent increase do you see when you use manure on the field versus when you do not? I would assume there's not enough manure to cover all the fields, but I could be wrong.
Concerning smells: I, too, became acclimated to a bad smell: Trash. I picked up trash during a summer job. It was a cool job to me.
One thing that's a little related is that tastes are acclimated as well, but only with edible foods of course! When people come to this country from one that uses little salt, sugar and fat, they at first believe the food is way too rich. Then, over time, they can become fully integrated eating our unhealthy foods in the industrialized world.
Those intermittent problems like with your PTO can be so frustrating to try and diagnose. Best of luck to Mechanic Brent! 4:20
Only Jan, could make a great video out of manure hauling...great shots. Always good to see your dad, what a fine man and fine farmer he is.
Jan, have you guys seen an improvement or increase of organic matter in your fields after spreading manure for so many years? I know your ground is very sandy, is it getting better or does it blow away?
👍
Keep up the great videos.
Does you mother have a load of that manure for her veggie plot?
Why does the manure smell? Does it help to turn the pile and get some air into it?
I grew rye over the winter and then planted straight into it with no tillage, everything grew very well indeed.
The tough roots seem to be particularly good at deterring moles.
Next year's barley will be out of charts after such a nice manure
Great video!!!
Good video.
Thanks!
Just wondering if in 🇨🇦 fuel on the farm is like it is in the 🇺🇸 and have separate fuels for the tractors and trucks (here the "off road"/farm equipment fuel is tinted red)
Hey Jan, it crazy to think about what a benefit the manure is to adding biomass to the fields. Is that like a "circle of life" thing?😊
Was hauling manure your first job on the farm or did you have a different job as your first? Always dome thing to fix when it comes to farm equipment.
Man that poor mx285 is having a hard time probably getting pretty close to needing to replace it. Just bite the bullet and buy the fendt lol you need it
Ya, you'll find the bar when you run the chopper over the field. lol. Always thought you had a triaxle spreader.
Twin binning and quad Gea
Hi Jan...BEV from Mississippi, USA!
Hey Bev! Thanks for watching!
💜💜💜💜
What gear is the tractor in when actually spreading a heavy load of manure on the field? Thanks Chris.
I'm still hauling in December
Always interesting, with the excellent commentary & filming. I hope the missing bar is not in the field, as it could cayse provblems if pickedup by a harvester or baler. Thanks for sharing your work
🚜 🚜 🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄 🚜 🚜🚜
I think you need a sponsorship from WD, for those gates.
Haha yea they’re loud
do you steer the caves in the 24 hrs., after they are born.?
what is the N:P:K of your manure? Has it ever been tested? I guess it doesn't really matter its (almost) free fertiliser and adding valuable organic matter to fields.
U guys have a lot of patience with that mx 285
Don’t have another choive
Thanks for the video. Please post more on insta.
Will do! 👍🏻
I think y need to calibrate your pto, we hade a similare probs were it wood work and suddently not. Bad battery connetions eraste the calibration😩
Did you find any snow buried under any of those manure piles?
The ground was probably still frozen under that pile!!😂😂
ive done plenty of that kinda work before mountains scoop shovel stalls
Brutal
I'm lazy. 🤣 If you think the other bar is in the field, then I would throw the drone up and maybe find it that way.
Nice natural fertilizer
💪🏻💪🏻
Your drone looked nervous in this one 😁😁
I’m wondering how many hours this tractor have? I always wondering how much work you can do with only a few tractors when I’m looking to Youri farmsize!
Jan replied to another comment, saying that it has around 13,000 hours.
you should see if you could get a demo again for the fall work
lol - graduation day is better than retirement day 🐄🥩 😋
It could be the pto relay causing your issue on your case
hi Jan, it is realy a smely job,you can smel the manur overher in the Netherlands ( hehehe joke )
love your 2023 comment. LOL
Haha
You sure do find some unique places and angles to put the camera.
I do my best!
Being able to joke with a stone face is an art. Your dad is an artist for sure.
That shot of the manure wagon was so realistic I could almost smell it. Oh wait that was me!
Lol❤
👍👌❤️🇨🇦
The smell that it smells like money. Keep it up I like being with you. Granny92 USA
How often do you replace the cutting blades in the feed weagon?
How you liking the smoke and how's it doing
Smoke has completely cleared from our area
Hi jan great work 👍👍👍, from 🇵🇰 it 🇸🇦
Thanks!

Seems like you need to upgrade from the MX. Lots of issues with it.
With all the manure spreading . Is it enough to improve soil quality?
Absolutely - circle of life.
Are the Canada wildfires affecting you?
My Massey 6480 did exactly the same stopped engaging the pto
Time to trade that mx285 in
Damn,Arjen is a chill guy )
Is that his dad's name?
@@alisciamarotta3888 yes,Dutch name

@@alisciamarotta3888 you're welcome )
I was wondering, is spreading the manure 100% required for the crops or is it more like 50- 50 for fertilization and to just get rid of the manure.
Crops to perform properly must have fertilizer. Urea(manure) is a form of fertilizer. It leaches out quickly but can burn if applied to heavily. The manure must be disposed of, Jan has an ample supply and the crops use it ,win win , imo.
🇺🇸🇨🇱
At least in England we will use slurry in spring and summer to boost the nitrogen and save the cost of the bagged fertiliser as it’s expensive and use bedding muck box muck in winter and before cultivation
Is there was ever a Canadian committee on poop, Jan should be on it.
Another very interesting video Thank you Why don't you guys plant some winter rye
They did last year. I don't know if they plan to plant more this year.
Just bought 4 holstein bulls at auction today and now my house is a vet clinic 😢. One has stage 4 viral pink eye with the worst lesion I have ever seen (basically 90% blind in the good eye), the other has pneumonia, and the third has an awful infection of the naval, some bacteria must have gotten in the umbilical cord, I hope he makes it through the night, I forced 2 amoxicillins down his throat, and a pint of electrolytes but this poor guy is on deaths door. (Didnt have any animal grade penicillin and the stores close at 5 (they open at 8:30 and you get your ass he will have his antibiotics at 9) It's horrendous how animal owners treat their livestock. All this stuff is treatable!! And if caught early is super cheap and easy to fix but instead they neglect their animals and dump them at auction, it's disgusting! There was a bull the other day that hobbled onto the auction floor with a broken leg!! That counts as "ambulatory"!?!? Auction house and everyone involved has no morals or standards. (That was my day) thank you for letting me vent
Smart man,,,, took the time to walk around. Time to upgrade tractors and retire the mx285 to light duty?………
🇺🇸🇨🇱
He'd like to, but they can't afford it right now.
😂 You said welcome to 2023... your dad walked away... My dad always tells his friends, if they weren't smoking shit or dropping acid in the 60s & 70s... They would have seen A WHOLE DIFFERENT WORLD... lmfao 🤣 🤣 🤣
4:30 is it a relay problem?
Jan , I need a load of that crap for my hobbie farm. Im sure it's some high quality stuff. Haha🤙🏼🤙🏼
What is it, in the mid-teens, there? I'll take that all day, every day, Jan.
The forecast calls for mid-twenties to to low-thirties over the next few days there.
How many hours does the mx 285 have
Like 13k
How are u doing today how long ago was this filmed
This was filmed 2 days ago
@@saskdutchkid thanks for the reply
Do u do meet and greets do u have any coming up would love to meet u at a farm show
Try a new alternator
Good idea
I remember years ago the neighbors mx was giving fits on the pto being finicky, tracked it down to a split alternator belt and alternator. I guess there very specific on the amount of voltage for there system
Always a break down
To a dairy farmer manure smells like money 💵 🐄💵🐄💵🐄 🇨🇦😁👍🏻
What do u get for your haircut
