This cinematic was made using the "Age of Mythology™: The Titans Expansion Pack" video game, with the intent of garnering favor for future expansions of the game, as well as creative expression. The final version of the New X Editor (available at AOM Heaven) was utilized. All units and sounds are original to the game; no mods were used.

As a kid playing AoM I always imagined creating a city like this in the creator with people moving around and everything flowing realistically and tried to make small crappy tiny towns back then picturing stuff like this in my head. Basically made my dream come real 16 years later. Thank you and truly amazing work.

Other than Arkantos, you can see a few of the main characters in some of these scenes: Agamemnon, Amanra, Chiron, Setna, Brokk and Eitri.
Didn't see Ajax or Kastor though.

That's how I pictured my little societies in my head when used to play this as a kid.
Lol I love the casualness of the scenes just happening everyday in their AOM lives:
Girl riding a shark down the river - check
Pegasus flying overhead - better not drop anything now you dang flying citypest
Pharaoh just taking a stroll outside - maybe I´m gonna ask him for a selfie later his current incarnation is soooo hot
And of course...furries everywhere. Centaur bros in their duo costumes, Birdieboi in egypt...Ulfsarks coulda put a little bit more budget into their outfits but oh well the spirit counts
It´s awesome, don´t even know how the little mini statues on the vendors display are made but they´re great little touches. Very fun watch.

The amount of work put into this is unreal. The details are increadible! The easter egg heroes in the scenes as well. This is the mlst beautiful AoM video I have ever seen!
Plus the fact you built actual villages with canals etc - I really liked the Colosseum with the fight - the Arcus throw was classic!

dude, this is how I imagined my city being like. I would cheat and use a lot of resources just to make houses, different buildings, even neighborhoods! I loved to watch my city thrive with all their mythological beigns being a part of the dayly life. The nostalgia is nice in this one. Very cool, keep at it cuz its awesome.

This is gold! I have had the game since it first came out almost 20 years ago, and in 2 and half mins you showed me that I never really made the best out of it.
Damn, this was awesome. Played AOM online with my girlfriend for a whole year when this released. We would intentionally not atack each other and just build the biggest sprawling cities we could. And after we would go full war. This vid brought back memories, cheers brazil!

This is amazingly well done... I love the fact that a demigod or a myth unit is just casually passing by
This is an age of mythology after all, a time were all manner of mythical creatures and even gods dwelled among mortals, whom occasionally faced fierce monsters. During wars between realms of men it was not unusual for these many kingdoms and states to employ mythical beasts and even divine beings in their armies to gain an edge in battle and dominate each other in the perpetual contest of supremacy!
Just discovered this....and OMG this the greatest piece of AoM related artwork i have ever seen.

This is pretty impressive. The set design, dear jebus the pathing alone must take hours of painstaking work so no collisions happen. Setting the scales for all the different sized units, the background, scenery, camera angles. Even that lil dragon in the end far at the back.

Definitely look very lively cities, bustling with activities, trade, gossip, and errands being done where men, mythical creatures and even gods go about their daily lives.

I didn't think I would be hit so hard man, this was beatifull. All the memories playing the game with my brother, trying to make my cities look nice while he micro-managed me to death. This was what I always imagined it was like. It's incredible, you made something magical.

Thanks! Yes, there are three appearances by him (one partly covered) - good eye! As for the plural - I'm not sure. I hear his alias in the city is Clark Kantos, however.

I just love how Athena causally walkes by some citizens at 0:47.
She's just doing her own periodic personal checking up on the Greek mortals of her family's domain, the Olympians. The Olympians are powerful but they are not all seeing nor all knowing and so usually rely on networks of magical spies and divine messengers to get the latest, up-to-date news on the going ons within the mortal world and any shenanigans they might get involved in or create or if any other mythical creature or god is plotting some machinations down below mount Olympus. They'll even occasionally come down themselves, usually in disguise among mortal kind to see with their own eyes and hear with their own ears the events of everyday life and witness the ambitions of men play out, hopefully with such things only occasionally leading to trouble or inconvenience for the gods.
This phenomenon is called epiphania, common in Homiric epic
