Morgan Rodgers is an amazing player. What a signing he is!
Watching his progress since he arrived is like watching the development that Jacob Ramsey went through in the two previous seasons on fast-forward.
…a shout out to Elisa Cenal, Villa’s Mexican sports nutritionist. She’s has done some great work this week to keep those energy levels up.
Apologies for the delay folks, and the mix up with the earlier live stream scheduled. Hope you enjoy regardless, UP THE VILLA
One of the best performances considering we just played 5 games in 15 days!!!!
Couldn't be prouder of this villa team. If we make top 4 or not, it doesn't matter. We have a club, manager and team to be proud of again. UTFV
true
Gutted Ollie didn’t get his goal - he did everything else!
Rogers reminds me of a young Ruud Gullit. He's absolute quality. He's transcended his age completely. UtV

Huge win
Roger, Watkins, Diaby excellent Bailey brilliant 👏 Leon Bailey 10 prem goals 9 prem assist 👏 my balla !🇯🇲💥
Can we just thank the Albion for Morgan Rogers thats where he started
Thank his parents for getting jiggy while we're at it. Eff WBA.
The conversation about putting Martinez outfield; my old Sunday league team used to do this on the last game of the season (if we had nothing riding on the result). We would put all the players names in a hat and draw them out position by position, it resulted in some brilliant memories and hilarious score lines. Maybe if Villa have secured top four by the last game we can do this?!?
Great performance today. I’m pleased Youri got a mention, his work today was outstanding. And Pau & Ezri are such a great pairing at CB that compliment each other perfectly, both were incredible, especially that toe poke tackle by Ezri… outstanding, he has to be on the plane to France in the summer!
UTV!!!
Brilliant performance from our boys.
I genuinely thought we were going to lose/draw this game, and I wouldnt have blamed the lads - but then I thought hold on - this is Unai Emery's Aston Villa.
I cannot believe the performance. When you've got 4 potential MOTM performances, you know you've had a great day. Even when we went 1-0 down, it was never in doubt. UTV
Another breathtakingly complete performance. It reminded me of when we thumped Newcastle last season. UTV
That has to be one of the most relaxed performances from us all season.
Even when we were 1-0 down I've never been so calm and sure that we'd go on to win it.
Everybody had a fantastic performance - Torres was immense, Tielemans is just showing off his long passes at this point, Watkins is a record breaker.
But the special mention has to be Morgan Rogers.
Morgan Rogers is biblical.
What a day.
Up the Villa.
The first half was rubbish, I think you were alone in feeling calm and sure when we went 0-1 down.
@@tsampson6660 Nah couldn't disagree more. We were in control for the whole game we just gave away a silly penalty.
We never looked like conceding a goal from open play and all the chances were ours.
I believe the stats have our form as overall 4th for the league since Unai Emery took the job. He is all about consistency, so a trophy can’t be too far away. UTVTID
Unai Emery is top tier shimples hes up there with the Peps , Klopps, mourinhos of the world , hopefully we can keep him for a few years
Unai has got his feet firmly under the table.
Watkins, Bailey, Rogers all joint MOTM for me! Some of the attacking play today 😮. UTV!
This season just keeps getting better
You have it wrong; it was Bailey ball to Rogers for goal number 1. 😅
Huge win 6points between us and spurs now I really think we’ll get 4th now, on to Chelsea now I think a draw against them would be a decent result
Great Win!!! I was expecting a very tired Villa. I was thinking I would have been ok with a draw. We seemed to have a more offensive game plan than we showed against Lille and I think it really played to our strengths.
Morgan Rogers again playing like he’s been here for years at times. What a great pick up he is looking to be. Love the show fellas, it’s my goto Villa pod. UTV!!
What a reception the coach got! That must of given them an extra 20% in the tank, it was awesome!
Remember having on VHS villas golden goals of pre premiership love to have a golden goals two premiership
Great podcast Dan and Matt - brilliant win by Aston Villa.
Leon Bailey is the man of the match
Great 2nd half thought they would tire , but got stronger 😊
Great video guys. Nice to see the switch in format...pass the mic! Nice old school Stella glass Dan is drinking from! (Not stolen from any pubs 🤣🤣) #utv
Nobody mentioned Konsa, he was superb also. In fact there were no bad performances at all. UTMV
An excellent result and Rogers looks like a fantastic bit of business.
With the last two results without Dougie, has he potentially highlighted that very few of our players are 'irreplacable'? Watkins and Emi presumably the only ones who truly aren't!
Brilliant performance.
Can’t disagree more though about the ref. He was excellent.
❤❤❤❤I love, I love, I love The Mighty Villa Xx......I was born in, and once again reside in Manchester in my twilight years. Please can I ask does ANYONE outside my dreadful City listen to or give a second-rate one about anything Gary Neville has to say??? I am FUMING this day!!!! Even a bucket of cold water would help, I can take that! Much love to all you Villains Xx
Love this.
Dan, before I forget (and apologies if you’ve answered this somewhere before but I can’t recall when?), I really enjoyed when you got podcasters from teams we were about to play to talk to us in the preview but you haven’t done this for ages. Is it just too much of a ballache to get it done in time or is everyone so jealous of Villa and the season we’re having that fans of other teams don’t want to talk to us any more? 😂
The ballache answer 😂
It’s a time thing as much as anything, I enjoyed it too, but lining up schedules and getting it done in time proved too difficult then I lost track and just stopped trying. If I’m being totally honest with you
We out ran them in the second half. Amazing energy. Think weve just hit form again after a month of inconsistency.
tman and sjm are very forward thinking always looking for the killer pass,,, think there a great combination
Sorry lads , I’ve asked it everywhere but did anyone notice emi’s lion on his shirt was upside down ? One lad told me that he asks for his shirt like that so it looks the correct way up when he looks at it but that suggests all of his shirts are like that ?
First time I’ve noticed it .
I think that explanation is rubbish personally! I’ll double check old images. I imagine it’s just a manufacturing error but surely the kitman and co pick up on stuff like that
Anyone else notice Emi Martinez badge was upsidedown?🙃
thanks for podding :)
Thanks for listening!
@@ClaretBluePod ye you are right i am the one putting the hard yards in ;)
The question now is, does Luiz come back in, and if so, who for?
Watkins showing he can do the Kane style role dropping deep and creating two goals no problem, he didnt get any through balls, not properly today anyways, but im sure thats an area for work. UTV
Normally listen to you guys while cooking, tonights curry was in your honour
Hardest game iv ever watched to pick a MOTM.
Watkins was class.
Bailey was Class.
Rogers was class.
I’d give it to mcginn personally…But every single one of them were immense.
Martinez for me some crucial saves today 😊
Who do we drop for Dougie next week?
Good problem to have.
UP THE MIGHTY VILLA🦁💪👊👍
You're spot on about the ref - but giving that penalty was criminal. Whilst Cash definately brought the lad down, they gained the ball by raking studs down Diaby's leg. It was a clear foul. It's a clear and obvious error from the ref not go give it (wtf else does he think diaby has gone down there whilst in possession of the ball, ffs?), so VAR have to take some of the blame, because it's the same phase of play and they absolutely should have brought it back.
DIdn't matter in the end, but by all the gods ever dreamt up, how the frick can they justify that kind of deciion?
GET UR DAD ON
He didn’t fancy it 😂
I think our fans vastly overrate Douglas Luiz tbh and it's showing now when we play without him and we're brilliant
How come Spurs have so much rest time? They never play a game and Villa, despite having ECL games have to wreck themselves. Tottenham will finish their season some time in August at this rate!
UTV
Could you not have optimised for hands free podcasting by asking dad to hold the microphone?.
It's actually not in our hands at the moment. Spurs can overhaul us on goal difference.
We have 5 goals better doubt they make that up in 2 games in hand especially as one is against Man City 😊
Spurs have a much harder run than us I feel 1 more win will do it
Other game in hand is Chelsea that’s there 2 midweek games so Chelsea and city good luck getting 6 points and catch up 5 goals 😊
The Brighton game for villa is daft it needs moving. Villa play Olypiakos on may 2nd and Brighton on 4th.
@@WingmanLiveit’s been moved to he 5th 😊
Next time just put your old man on camera. 😆 UTV
VTID
Could you not find a bigger mike😂
If we beat Chelsea, I'd be very, very surprised if Spurs catch us. I think even a draw in that game puts a huge amount of pressure on Spurs, especially given that their next game is against title chasing Arsenal, a must win game for Arsenal.
Chelsea will be a difficult game, but I think we can grab a draw or maybe even a win. It depends on how Chelsea treat the game. Do they want to qualify for the Europa League or Conference League next season? I think the vast majority of Chelsea players and fans couldn't care less about the Conference League. I think there are probably plenty who think the Europa League is below them too.
On a side note. What an absolutely dreadful decision to sell Cole Palmer!!!! Sold him. Then bought a vastly inferior player in Doku.
