Since we started making Folk on Foot in 2018, we’ve been filming the songs performed by our guest artists in inspiring locations across the UK.
Over the last six years this has become an astonishing library of hundreds of unique performances. For example, there’s Kathryn Tickell and her Dad playing and singing next to the River Rede; Kris Drever on the beach at Scapa Flow; Sandra Kerr and her Bagpuss souvenirs in her cosy music room in Warkworth and Eliza Carthy and her family (including the late, great Norma Waterson) singing around the kitchen table at the farmhouse where she grew up.
We’ve also added the extraordinary sets which made up the Folk on Foot Front Room Festivals during lockdown. So you can see Karine Polwart in her living room, Johnny Flynn in his garden, Julie Fowlis, Éamon Doorley and Duncan Chisholm in a Highland Bothy and Chris Wood playing in a wheelbarrow in his garage, to name just a few.
