Story of the construction of motor launches at dockyards in Great Britain beginning with draughtsman working at drawing board and continuing through all phases of construction to completion and the launching by Chief Women's Royal Naval Service Officer for Scotland; also trials of launches including firing of rocket projector; twin Lewis guns firing; dropping of depth charges etc.

DEFENDER V12'S 600 HP. AND 2000 LBFT OF TORQUE. OVERHEAD CAMMED ENGINES HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR AT LEAST 80 YEARS.

My fav shop in Sandy Point was the fairmile b. For some reason it was never completed in 1931. Building materials were misallocated. The shop was stealthed instead. In 1975, I found a stash of lost stowage including a 1939 Morris, zero mileage. Same 1880s armory contained the fire retardant glass missing from roof of fairmile b boatshed. Also saved our lives from fire bugs. Same folks who had beennthere from 1910s and 1920s installed the original glass. There was a cargo stowed all over from the early 1930s.

my father served on ML904 towards the end of WW2 regards George Peace, son of Jack Peace. Able seaman.

My father served in the engine room of a motor launch. He was initially based in Alexandria from 1942 onwards. I would have to find his diaries to get the number of his ML. They did their training in Oban. Great surname you have, fighting for Peace!

It would be nice to see film on the D Class or Dogs as they where known. There is never films on the class of boat though I’ve looked
