That's the way to use this that I wish Vinny had done. Just selecting random images give you random results but if you try to follow a theme you can create your own tailored dream image. If he wanted he could've made himself the most crazy cosmic horror if he just narrowed his field of view.
What if people set this up where they had a bunch of people using eye tracking being shown the same images, and then had it select the image that people initially looked at the most when the children loaded. So as to select the "most visually interesting" one, instead of the one people choose to call interesting because they want to see more of it. Would the images become more eye-grabbing?
Right around the 12 minute mark I had the strongest moment of revulsion I've had in a while because the food stuff had lulled me into a state of sleepy complicity and then BAM! Grade A nightmare fuel. Good stuff, man. I gotta get in on this action.
I'm really surprised you didn't try the "mix" link at the top. You can mix any two images on the site using their urls, and it shows every step between their transformation into each other. Kinda' like those Animorph covers. It's really interesting and is a lot more controllable than just clicking through the images. I think it really exemplifies just how the algorithm is smashing these images together as well.

I’ve been playing ganbreeder for ages with my friends and we just think its so funny to create these weird images. Ive spent ages laughing hysterically over things we’ve made, and I’m actually shocked at how many people are freaked out by this. I know it sounds weird, but I’ve never been creeped out at all while playing this. But seeing these comments it make me think of a phenomenon to do with dreams. It consists of your dream containing weird abnormal things, but your brain normalizes them in your dream so you dont suspect anything. This is why you believe your dreams are real. Its the same with ganbreeder, it takes an image and makes it look so weird and distorted, yet at the same time makes you think that its something youve seen before
