    Great explanation. Thank you.
Per Dr Ross Turchaninov, in chronic cases, medical massage is needed before the PT can establish lasting relief. There are 4 areas of possible muscular restrictions.
Advanced medical massage therapists evaluate to determine which soft tissues are affected. Anterior scalene is the most common muscle involved in the neck. Often, once it's released, the distal areas will resolve without treatment.
Dr. Ross would be a great guest interviewee for your program too. He's an orthopedic surgeon, who is cross trained in other noninvasive bodywork including a PhD in exercise science.
Thanks again for all you contribute to the rehab field. Your channel is one of my favorites.

Thank you for this! I have been in terrible discomfort and pain for a week now. Left side upper back, shoulder, arm, hand and fingers. Slight weakness and tingling. Performed these stretches and I feel almost normal again. I will try to do these daily as a preventative measure. The nagging pain and discomfort is no joke and something I want to avoid in the future. Keep up the great work!

I have a great exercise. I shattered my wrist snowboarding at high speed and as it healed after surgery I got carpal tunnel syndrome. The surgeon said carpal tunnel surgery would be required due to my original surgery. But I cured it. Hand against wall (maybe not all the way against the wall) in front with fingers pointing down, other hand reaches above and bends the thumb up.

    Thankyou for your great explanation.
I had 2 rotator cup repairs, and frozen shoulder surgery done Aug 30.
My range of motion is still only in the low 120s.
And I cry every PT visit, I break down in tears due to the electrical shock that runs down my arm.
I literally can not use my right arm,
I can't bend my fingers or hold anything.
Doctor gave me steroid shots in my shoulder and wrist Thursday.
    But no improvement.
I'm having panic attacks in the night from the pain.
Is it possible something was damaged during surgery?

I'm on level 3 with both hands now. What's crazy is my carpal tunnel started first in my left, then two weeks later my right. My left progressed to level 3 quicker than my right hand for whatever reason. Maybe it was because the right hand was "injured" or flared sooner?

This worked! I was soooo miserable and in pain. Could not knock it out. I did the nerve flossing , floss with neck and the night brace you gents suggested. Within 24 hours I had a huge improvement. Every day was better.
I have spent weeks of my life at PT for other issues which never resolved. I go to you gents FIRST now.
Ps. I did add a posture brace during the day for a few days with the CT as per your input about posture. I think the combo of flossing, posture, braces was the magic combo.

Is it normal for carpal and/or cubital tunnel syndrome to cause cold hands/fingers? Also, if I press on my hands and fingers, it clearly takes a while for blood flow to return (i.e. skin stays white for several seconds), thus signifying poor circulation. I'm otherwise healthy and exercise 6 days/week.
