However, when they found out how expensive it was going be to license all those Disco they had to write a brand new score from scratch, aping (in this case basically stealing) the Disco songs of the day.
It was not a good night at the gay disco unless “Star Love” was played at least twice. When we heard those first words “Come with me tonight”, it was like a stampede to the dance floor! It became so crowded that it was hard to move. Guys were all over each other, and it was cool as hell, especially when the shirts came off!! Oh, to be 25 again. 😞 🏳️🌈
I love Cheryl Lynn singing and I feel if a lot of more females singers had the potential that she has they would be better off may the Lord bless and keep her she keeps her life private and that's fine when you get a opportunity to make a gospel album please make it because William beckwith would love to hear it

There was mention of "weight" on here (sensitive subject I would think) but since the door is open, when she started out on the Gong Show she was smaller, the weight increased by the 2nd or 3rd album then in the late 80s-early 90s on, she focused on losing some and she did, and maybe years later picked some back up but nowhere as she was in the late 80s. She was and is still very pretty, and i love the current wardrobe. She always took great photographs too. I always held her vocals to a high standard based on what i know she can do, and thats why its kind of hard for me to see her sing "Star Love" today when it comes to that theatrical part she does towards the end BUT BUT BUT she knows how to vocally compensate for what she doesn't do at that moment & its very- extremely impressive. As for coming to L.A. to perform - just her- she doesn't get the "proper amount" of love from her hometown "by herself" like she does in Japan and that's a shame. Some say the weight blocked certain things in her career, and it shouldn't be that way. If the Weather Girls succeeded and they were more plus size, that weight reason just isn't valid or shouldn't be valid. Back then, just market the music, and let the rest fall in place but that IMAGE thing back then was just wrong.

Cheryl is SOOO underrated as a performer. She's put on a TON of weight that i wish she would lose some. Because it would not only be better for her health but breath control. As a singer i understand this all too well. But for her age she's still got it folks. Hell she's never really lost it. Much like Patti Labelle she just keeps on ticking. Although i wish she'd get half as much recognition that Patti always does.
Cheryl lynn’s voice is still in pristine condition and she can still hit all her notes and replicate those vocal sound effects at 61 but doesn’t get the wealth or popularity as these young artist who can’t sing and lyp sync on stage to pre recorded auto tune tracks and the music industry today continuously shoots out this garbage 🗑 on all the radio stations Omg !
