Lyrics:
You've got style, that's what all the girls say
Satin sheets and luxuries so fine
All your suits are custom-made in London
But I've got something that you'll really like
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over, all over
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over your body
Feel the silky touch of my caresses
They will keep you looking so brand new
Let me cover you with velvet kisses
I'll create a look that's made for you
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over, all over
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over your body
Gonna dress you up in my love, in my love
All over your body, all over your body
In my love
All over, all over
From your head down to your toes
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over, all over
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over your body
Gonna dress you up in my love, in my love
All over your body, all over your body
In my love
All over, all over
From your head down to your toes
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over, all over
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over your body
Gonna dress you up in my love, in my love
All over your body, all over your body
In my love
All over, all over
From your head down to your toes
Gonna dress you up in my love
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over, all over
Gonna dress you up in my love
Gonna dress you up in my love
In my love
All over your body
All over your body
Gonna dress you up in my love
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over, all over
Gonna dress you up in my love
Gonna dress you up in my love
In my love
All over your body, yeah love me boy
Gonna dress you up in my love

All singers should take a note of this performance... She is actually singing.
X favor gracias Paola Ciccone My madrina puro trabajo gracias mx
Madonna is really singing and dancing! Stunning figure. Today she resembles this style. In Candy Tour I missed this image so much!
Madonna Is The Best singer❤
She's lip synced a ton
@@justpassingthrough3410NOT here though and NOT in her first world tour!! Give credit where credit is DUE!
Her stage presence was always WILD. She gives heart and soul.

80s fashion was everything!!! Madonna songs from this era: TIMELESS ❤❤❤❤❤
When the live recording is better than the studio version, you know you've gotten really good.
Yes Madonna was never a super duper singer but she sounds phenomenal here, and it's all live.
Madonna sounded like a trapped boy here but she was still one hell of a performer.
La isla bonita
I'm glad they captured this performance on video . This is Madonna in her finest hour . Love it . . .
She actually looks like she's happy....trying things out.
Boys and Girls, this is a Boomer. Now, no tomato on my burger, please.

You do not get superstars like this…one of the greatest singers of all time…brilliant Madge…😉
Madonna was truly one of the greatest entertainers who ever appeared in American music; a great talent. There will never be another.
She is really 80s and that is what I love about Madonna!
One of the most iconic performances EVER
What a pretty breathtaking woman ,hello my darling ?
Yeah..And real Good voice
didnt she go by the name of wendy keber
That and her like a virgin performance at the very first mtv music awards
Yep, I agree ...... this performance, fashion look and song has always stuck in my mind.
They don't make music like this anymore.. 😢
Sad but true. This was the song that made me a Madonna fan. 🌟
JOYOUS PERFORMANCE. She was exploding into the zeitgeist and the whole world was watching. Even those who hated her couldn't ignore her. I love this tour perhaps most of all of hers, because she didn't yet think she needed 30 dancers and complicated stage sets to blow us out of our seats. Her power/energy/joy/sensuality was enough, along with a live band and TWO backup dancers/vocalists. That's all she ever needed.
Thanks for the joy, Madonna!
I love how she's dressed (especially the jacket) in this video. Her eye makeup is awesome. The backup dancers, singers, and band members are pretty hot, too.
She was a phenomenon . Men wanted her and young women wanted to be her. I mean every girl I knew in high school was adopting her style and getting kicked out of school for it lol.
She was different and very talented!
Y
Haha yep....I grew up in a conservative city....orange county ca...back then...super conservative...girls getting kicked out for cut off t-shirts mini skirts and leggings....madonna esque
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes we all wanted to be her x ❤❤❤❤
She was only 26 years old and the biggest star in the world. No internet, no TikTok, just plain hard work, talent, beauty, tenacity and determination made her the world's biggest superstar almost 40 years ago.
She is a legend.
Wonder if there was internet in the 80's.
And the illuminati
Yup and no iPhone too
The biggest star in the world was Michael Jackson, she was a close second though.
The brightest star on the planet.
No internet ,No social media , No one will ever understand unless they lived the 80’s It’s was insane every corner every club every mall it was MADONNA & Michael Jackson. ❤️🎶we will never see this again ever.
Totally agree with you !
If you were a teen in the 80s, you've got something special that no other generation has enjoyed. You had fun, taste, style, and the best music ever all at the same time. Growing old is absolutely normal, but growing old with those memories a real privilege.
Totally agree with you is a big privilege , Thanks ! I was in my beautiful teens!!❤

I haven’t seen this video in decades and it just brought it all back on how huge she was. That’s why she is and will always be an icon!!
The good old days when music was magical .
This is what you called "concert!!" no dull performance!! Full power!! 💪🎉❤️
I fell in love with her watching this way back when and was utterly mezmerized. The 80's was the best decade EVER!!😢 ❤❤❤
No one I mean no one will ever compare to Madonna she’s the real Queen!24 and till 4 ever 😌🌈
Growing up on Pakistan I had the video Of this whole Concert. My sister and I watched it On repeat!
Soooo many awesome memories! Love you Madonna!
I was at this concert... I cannot even explain how awesome it was..she had a thing for latin men.. she threw me her hair ribbon I was 22 years old.. I still have it
Don't you wish CAMERA PHONES were invented back then ?
Did she ever date a Latin man ??
Because all I remember is she dating WHITE MEN & Black Men through the years
Where was this concert?
@pdg61met Detroit (Michigan) Madonna's home state.I was at this concert, toward the end she sings "Detroit, your my pride and joy"
Mee too! I love younger men now I'm 60
This song is so underrated. It's quintessential 1980s pop, but still sounds modern today. And her vocals are ON POINT. Madonna has been, is, and always will be absolutely phenomenal.
Sorry to break it to you... This song is NOT so underrated... GREAT SONG, EVEN GREATER PERFORMANCE... During it's video run on MTV, it was played every two hours... This is Madonna at her finest and purest...
@@briantaylor1391 Who are you talking to?? You won't find a bigger Madonna fan than me, so you're preaching to the choir baby. And when I said underrated I meant because when most people think of her music "Dress You Up" often gets left out.
@THEfelinedivine Who are these MOST PEOPLE??? People like you ABUSE the " So underrated " mantra, to death... At the time of this song... It was NOT BURIED NOR UNDERRATED... But because of Madanna's longevity of YEARS of great music, of course it gets moved down the line...BUT IT'S NOT UNDERRATED...A Billboard Top 5 song in '85 can't be....👊🏿💥
40 Years later and it still makes you feel good!

She was a magnet alright, great days
💯
I agree!
i wasn’t there at that time and i’m desperate for this. but i still understand how great she was, because i hear talking about her power and success everyday. but i wish so badly i could see it myself..🥺
As a gay man who was a boy in these times I remember saying she was my girlfriend and i was only 6 back in 85. Lol. This woman made woman something powerful for us. And I praise it.
Truly is no surprise why she is still the best selling female musical recording artist in history 👏
she would never do that to her body those people need to leave her alone
She is one of a kind and there will be nobody like her!
Her entrance down the stairs was EPIC !!
Basic but powerful. Nowadays people have Taylor swift (ew)
This was back when you had to have incredible talent BEFORE there was ANY chance of fame. Madonna was the total package.
Look at the enormous joyful smile on her face as she comes down the stairs around 0:35. Have you ever seen such a smile? Her hard work had paid off. Her dreams were being realized before her eyes. She knew she had arrived.
❤️🇵🇹👍👍👍

My favourite moment. It says/speaks, (i have made it),(with a lot of hard work, belief, dedication, and support.). Thank you Madonna. An awesome inspiration to everybody /everyone. ❤️❤️❤️. Derek x.
P.s, madonna made me believe that dreams can become true. 🙏.
No one will ever truly understand the impact the 80s artists made, except those who were there and were drowned in the beauty and dynamics of the massive flow of the different styles of music, fashion and fun all in a huge explosive dynamic whirlwind. So glad I was able to experience all of this, where would the world be without it? If I could go back in time and relive anything, it would be the 80s. Best time of my life ❤️🇺🇸
Well said.
Let's build a time machine asap! 💯

This is how I want to remember the queen of pop!!!
Madonna was, is and will always be the QUEEN of pop! She is not just the great artist but a great human being and kind. I remember all the millions of dlls she donated to foundations to find a cure for AIDS way way back in the 90's Thank you Madonna, you are simply the best!
With out question she had the greatest music career of any female in history

Sometimes the word "superstar" is banded about too much but Madonna is a superstar
Madonna was just massive in the mid to late 1980's, you really had to live through that era to fully appreciate and understand what a huge impact she had on music and fashion at that time. Together with Michael Jackson, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston, Phil Collins, and George Michael, it was an incredible decade of music Superstars, the likes of which we'll never see again. It was a truly amazing time to be alive! 😊

The 80's weren't another time. They were another world!
Forty years later I still couldn't help but moving to this beat, remembering the good times she brought to me and my youth in the 80s, the most cherished time of my life.
It was a grand time. I spent many a night dancing...either on a bar or on the dance floor. All my friends from that time are gone. Even the clubs are gone. Anybody out there remember The Hippo, Club Allegro in the basement, The Gas Lamp, The Masquerade and Julian's? The Club Atlantis? Cignel?
Those were the days we danced to her music all the time, in clubs discos, parties etc. No other time was as exciting as the 80s😢

This song waa sooooo underrated. I never understood why it wasn't as popular as her other songs. It was always one of my favorites ❤
Agree, one of mine too.
So incredibly powerful! Love it!
It was a top 10 hit in The Netherlands, were I grew up. In 1985 she had 7 or 8 top 10 hits, every young girl was singing en dancing on her songs in her room and wanted her hair. All women over 30 hated her because all men thought she was hot. This was the age where good looks were about choice, creativity and expression, not yet about having a certain bodytype or nosesurgery....
Muito ouvido no Brasil tambem👏👏👏👏
Oh they played the heck out of this song on the radio when it came out. Underrated, yes. But a very popular hit.
Great guitar solo in this
I surely hope the young girl at 1:45-1:47 is living to tell her kids and grandchildren that she saw Madonna's first tour from the front ! That must have been surreal at her age.

Credit to Nile Rogers
@@rajibains1923 I think the commenter meant the stage production, not the album production. Madonna was very involved in the artistic direction of her concerts from the very beginning, which was especially unusual for female pop artists at that time. Nile Rodgers is a legend, no doubt about that, but give credit where it’s due. Her live shows had her creative hand all over them.
I will always remember the Lucky Star video being the first time I ever saw a singer with backup dancers. It became the standard for pop girls and now there's more dancers on a stage than the actual artists. And at least Madonna could keep up with the dancers because she had dance experience herself.

Madonna blew up faster than anyone I’ve ever seen. She became a household name overnight. Sold out stadiums faster than the Beatles or Justin Bieber. Here’s the thing, there was no social media, text messages, cell phones, music to download. One badass girl back in the day.
Every boy wanted her. Every girl either wanted to look like her or be with her.
PS. so many have disagreed w me. In the 80’s, I had the privilege of working in this industry. I’ll say and I know so many others that agree w me, NO ONE worked harder or wanted it more than Madonna. She was amazing to work around and gave off such a presence, you damn well knew when she entered the room or the stadium for that matter. I just watched some of her older or first music videos, very proud and for the nay sayers, you might wanna Google her accomplishments and compare her to anyone anytime anyplace. ☮️.
