    I’ve had two model Y, a 2021 (totaled unfortunately) and 2023 which I got a few weeks ago. The difference in build quality is crazy between both, I’m not saying 2023 is perfect but most of the annoying stuff you mention is addressed now, panel gaps, trims coming off, but specially the phone key, it works 10/10. That said the car was expensive in 2021 too so this shouldn’t happened anyways.
    For 2023 Suspension and tires changed and now the ride quality is far superior. The speaker they removed was for safety chimes only, so it didn’t impact sound quality, as the Chime could sound on any of the others… On the other hand the parking sensor delete sucks, vision does not make it up even close, it’s really really really bad.
    I’m not a Tesla die hard. Don’t get me wrong, I really like the car but in not in love with it. I got the 2023 because my 21 was totaled and the new pricing was enticing plus I had all the accessories, home charging etc and it made a lot of sense and other EVs at that price point don’t entice me… I probably would have picked a EQS SUV or R1S too if I decided to increase my budget…

      @lfgx Před rokem +12

      @@rah2023 well you might be right but everyone knows that before giving Tesla their hard earned cash, build quality is a different story, it’s not like they hide the interior and it’s a surprise after you pick up… to me it was all about the experience (acceleration, driving dynamics, tech, etc) and the Tesla is miles ahead on that than my previous car (and most cars tbh) and I was fine with the minimalistic interior…
      another example no one talks about? my friend has a Defender, awesome car and around 30K more expensive and I would say their interior is pretty cheap too but the experience of having that modern off roader is incredible and worth it… people are too focused on Tesla and they are great cars, just not for everyone.

    I’ve had my Model 3 for nearly five years now, and the lack of physical controls is my biggest problem. It’s something that I think you can easily overlook… until you’re in a position where you need to access them quickly. For example, I was on an interstate during a light rain and I drove into a downpour. The auto-wipers didn’t react quickly enough, so I wanted to manually set it to high. I had done this in my previous car (2013 Ford Taurus SHO) without an issue, but having to take my eyes off the road to look down at the bottom left of the touch screen is just bad… really bad.
    I usually joke and say that it seems like decisions are made at Tesla by people that don’t actually drive the cars, but I do wonder if there could be a hint of truth there.
    I was thinking about switching to a Mustang Mach-E, but I must say… Tesla does have some nice features that other automakers could certainly “borrow”. How a Tesla is just active once you’re in it is so different from how the Mustang still has to “boot up” when you push the power button.

They mentioned that iPhones dont constantly have their Bluetooth searching for nearby devices to connect, while android does. Its much more seamless and he hasn't had any problems in the 1 year he's had his Y.
    Also the 19in wheels make a world of a difference to the ride quality. The base of the car never touches the road or small debris on roads (even dirt roads) and its much smoother and less stiffer than the 20inch wheels.
    For the interior buttons, he had the same issue as Austin's, but they added those triangle S3XY touch buttons all over the dashboard and one right next to the glove compartment too, made it very convenient for him to access basic needs like changing driver profiles, folding/unfolding side mirrors, AC on/off, etc. (Like with the AC on/off control button, he said he just pressed the button, the AC would turn on and the screen would show the temp, fan speed and vent directions on the screen for easier use.

      Couldn't disagree more. Why not just go look at a Tesla for yourself and form your own opinion? Or use Turo to rent a 2023 Tesla Model Y? This video is on a used car made in 2021 in an old factory. New Model Ys are dramatically better built, and so many other reviews have highlighted the noticable improvement in Tesla builds since 2022. I've had some friends with some issues, sure. But every single one of them has been solved. And *some* of the issues in this video were real, and annoying. But at ANY point in time, he could just make an service appointment and had it all fixed! It's sad to see people watching a negative review of something and saying MY EYES ARE OPENED, NO TESLA FOR ME, and then avoiding a product that makes a difference. Maybe as a happy owner I'm biased. But no gas, no maintenance, unbelievable tech and software, crazy speed, AND unmatched safety? I'll gladly take "bigger panel gaps on some models" in exchange for all that and I car that has saved my life in an accident. They're hoping they can keep up demand, with long range, supercharging network, and price cuts. I've had to replace door handles (multiple times), the trunk wouldn't shut at one point when we were out and needed the mechanism to be fixed, and so many numerous other smaller issues.

      @@Vageta1999 Austin's car is still just a month under 2 years old. It's still a new car and most buyers would still have another 4 years of payments on these cars. @@Vageta1999 Wobbly floors? Bubbling headrests? Creaky interior bits? Definitely pretty minor, but also things Tesla should have fixed by now.
      Control arms? Gigantic issue, and one which probably should have triggered a fleet-wide recall at this point.
      The Model S is over 10 old and they still have issues with their door handles, rattling and premature wearing of the steering wheel amongst other things. Let's not even get into the gullwing doors of the Model X.

    Easy fix is not to keep the big rims, get 18/19” rims and beefier tires and you improve ride quality, comfort and less weight/better efficiency 😊 my 2019 model 3 has been much better and had many features added over the years

    6:35 Actually not all cars are more comfortable to ride in. For instance I own a Jeep and my drive way is like a 6% grade if I am going faster than 3 mph to enter my driveway I will hit my head on the ceiling of the Jeep LOL. I understand why the Jeep is like that I just hate it. The same rigid suspension that feels like it will send me through the ceiling when I hit a pot hole will allow me to drive over a log in the road without bottoming out the jeep. Next time I test drive a vehicle I am taking it over some potholes and up and down some driveways.

    Funny as I have driven almost whole my life on roads that has full of holes and bomps. Even it has been on news that lack of physical buttons sure looks somewhat nice but are huge safety issue. As you know mostly without looking with physical buttons but touch screens are then opposite. Even these type of electric comes obsolete as the current battery ingredients are depleting quickly. I think they find other ways go around it but again it is problem on current electric cars.

    I don’t know if the phone key issue is a Tesla issue, or an iPhone issue. As an iPhone beta user, I noticed the key unlock issue started after I got a recent beta update. I also noticed that my Apple Watch has had Bluetooth issues as of late. No longer connects to the stair machine at my gym, with a recent beta update. No conclusions here, just observations
