- Okay, y’all: I just parked my truck outside a Whataburger off I-35 and this guy with a Cowboys jersey walked by singing my favorite Willie song and then outta nowhere a thunderstorm rolled in, the temperature dropped by 20 degrees; and then by the time I got home to do this video, it was back in the 90s.
Yep, that’s right, folks. Today, we’re heading to Texas.
Well buckle up, cowboy, because today we’re showing you what it's like living in Texas - and the Lonestar state is a hell of a lot bigger than any little ol’ city. In fact, Texas is bigger than many countries combined.
So if you're thinking of moving to Texas, you've come to the right spot.

Why am I watching this I live in Texas 😐.
Same
Because we have to see what they have to say about us 😆 that’s why we are watching this video
Same lol
I am watching this because I wanted to see if they think Texas is all about cowboys and saying y'all all day. BTW I live in Texas too
Sameee, i live in Austin 😂😂
My beloved Texas. Where I can drive for six hours in a straight line and still be in the same state.
Umm 11 hours from one end to the other
California
Montana
Alaska, can fly in a straight line for 6 hrs and still be in the same state
And yet you don't have a modern electrical grid. Regulations, who needs regulations! A few days of mild weather and your state is a mess.
I’m native to San Antonio, TX., born and Raised. We are friendly and welcoming.
I know for a fact if people get out of hand. Texas is Brutal and have our own instant Justice System, we look out for one another. We don’t look for troubles, we live life to the fullest, we love our space, most importantly we are all individual problem solvers. All Native Texas are like this and will never admit.
Texans are fearless…
I bet half of the people who’re watching this are from Texas and fact checking the video, I am one of those people.. 😂
Facts? Not in this one.
Dallas here!
san Antonio over here
Me too!!!! Love from Bryan and Corpus Christi Texas😀👍

yeah the weather in texas is so unpredictable. yesterday was 70 degrees and today it’s 30
Fr it was tornado-ing this morning and now it’s sunny and warm
Yesterday I went outside it was cloudy, wet, and cold so I went inside
Then I went outside an hour later it was sunny, hot, and clear
michaela leigh last year, it snowed for probably the second time where I live in Texas, and then the next day i wore shorts👌🏻 but those are just within day changes...not the, wake up leaving the house in 30 degree temperatures and come home in the afternoon to 90 degree temperatures
There’s an old saying that Texas doesn’t have a climate, just weather.
Fr
Rode a train across America and half the time I was in Texas! :D
true statement
lexustech48, as true as they come lol
😀👍 SO TRUE!
when I was in college up at NTSU, I worked with a woman from NY. She and her husband had come to Denton so he could study jazz. She said once that they were going to go to LA over the Memorial Day long weekend. She was depressed when we told her that they could not make it out to LA and back in four days (they were going to take an extra day). At least not and spend any time in LA. We said "the bad news is that you'll drive for a day and not even be out of the state yet; the good news is that at the end of the day, you'll be halfway to LA."
All my ex's live in Texas 😜😂
This is heart warming. The dude's love for Texas is endearing
I'm a Black dude, and I have to agree.
I was a registered Democrat all my life and I realized people in the blue states are garbage and rude as hell.
I thought being rude was normal behavior until I visited Texas, Georgia, Idaho, and Iowa and I LOVED the people there.
People in red states are nice, kind, and most importantly Considerate of others. I've never seen this before.
I grew up in the Washington DC area and I NEVER made a single friend at all, they accused me of being too nice!
I hated it! I see why the Nice red states are afraid of the blue infections. If your state has to remain red in order to maintain your kind charm so be it. I left the democratic party years ago and now I'm a libertarian. Peace and stay kind Texas!
You’ve heard of acting, right? Conservatives are known to be conservative (selfish only). Not everyone likes showing their REAL attitude or how much pain they are in out in the open socially. Texas is still cool, though. I have no issue with it. But people in red states aren’t nicer. Get real.
I'd have to agree.
I'm a wildland firefighter who goes all over the country. The nastiest people I've ever dealt with were in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York State, and southern Michigan.
The nicest have been in the Carolinas, Montana, Georgia, Tx, Wisconsin and North Michigan (Above the Mackinaw bridge). Oregon, California, and Washington had people just wanting to be left alone, not really nice, not really rude; A different culture, would be the best way to put it.
The first places I listed, the people are just generally angry, at everyone and about everything, if they see you, you're treated like you've somehow wronged them, when I lived in CT, I was treated like an absolute piece of garbage just for being there.
But the red states, you show up and most of the time, you get treated like an old friend, which was very odd to me but it is a thing! Some folks are kind of hard to get away from sometimes... haha
You have to be nice in places that sell guns at walmart

To show how big high school football is in Texas: Allen High School plays in a $63 million stadium
Yes, we’ve all seen Friday Night Lights 👍
Their stadium is almost as good as any college or pro stadium and there are many high schools with such massive football stadiums.
This video was really good, made me smile and laugh. I've lived in Dallas for 10 yrs, moving here from Los Angeles and I've never looked back. Texas is a great place to live.
I've heard from my Texan friends that many Californians are moving there every year. I just hope it doesn't become like California in the near future.
@U Haul Uhaul, go back home to Phoenix, your drunk in Texas lol
@Saul Abrego All of the big cities in Texas are best avoided---too much crime and too much traffic.
@Saul Abrego Austin TX is still a good place to live. Atleast it's better than Houston. Especially the economy there is strong.
Rick Ghosh
Cali is amazing, it’s just so expensive because the wages are high and there are tons of people moving there for jobs, which drives up housing and rent
@Saul Abrego Maybe you're right. But the point is every big city has the same problem. It's not a Austin and Houston specific problem . But compared to Toronto where I live, the livability in Texas cities are much better. The Greater Toronto Area has a population of over 6 million yet we still have only one major highway in the city and it's literally the busiest highway in the world. The infrastructure here is peanuts compared to Texas. That's what I was saying.

Hello Elizabeth
Visited Texas for the first time in August. I’m from Pennsylvania and I live in Pennsylvania. I loved Texas so much I was in Katy, I went to Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Corpus Christ. I loved it so much. Im Gonna do some HVAC courses here and work and save money and I wanna move down there and work. Im 23 I just hope I can do it. I loved it so much I was happier.
Probably the sunlight. It only gets gloomy for a few days or weeks in the year down here in Texas, and out farther west it's almost never cloudy. Really helps with any depression and seasonal sadness.
I live in Australia, if I moved to U.S. Texas for sure reminds me of western Australia
Native Californian here and visited Texas thrice. I luv Texas. West of Austin is like Southern California. Same soil, mesquite, oaks but no mountains and fish tacos. :-}
California is more similar to Australia
If you drilled a hole through the center of the earth from Houston, Perth would be the closest city. Some minor city in Sri Lanka would be second closest.
But keep in mind that the population of Texas exceeds all of Australia by a little bit.
Texans look at the rest of the US and think "wimps", with the sometimes exception of Alaskans. Texans look at the rest of the world and think "wimps" with the exception of Australians who we generally regard as having balls.
I lived in Austin for 14 years and you're spot on about everything that you said.
Texas forever!
Thank you for being actually respectful to my wonderful state, hope ya'll mosey along back here sometime. ^^
I hate when people say words like mosey and y'all its such a cliche

I've lived in Houston for a while.. I've never loved any people like I loved the people of Texas. They're a mixture of generosity, courage, determination and hard work.
God bless Texas, and God bless the Texans.
That comment touched my Texan heart...thank you. That was very kind...God Bless you and your whole family too.

Texas folks are so nice and the winters are 10x milder than ky.
We welcome anyone that wants to come here and help make it better.
And yes the best tacos and beef fajitas on the planet.
Texas, a very welcoming state, living here for 1 1/2 years and loving it every day more and more, the sky at night is so beautiful, you can actually see many starts, the weather unpredictable, summer rain is the best, fresh afternoons, beautiful fall season, barbecue is so yummy, driving and listening to music has become my best hobby, you can add many miles to your car pretty fast though. Texas is adding many more residents every day and we thank this beautiful state for letting us settle here and start a new life!
I love my Texas, thanks for covering it so well ♥️
Lived in Texas for almost a year. There's no way to describe how big a state it is. I enjoyed the colloquial expressions many locals used. People, like anywhere, can be big hearted. the weather went from hot to warm and back to hot again. If you like it on the cool side, it will sap you.

From Brownsville to Amarillo is 786 miles/11-1/2 hrs drive time. Orange to El Paso is 865 miles /13-1/2 hrs drive time.
Harris County (Houston) has a population (2017) of 4,652,980 & covers 6,193 sq mi. Houston covers 627 sq mi of which only 22 sq miles is water. The state of Rhode Island is 1,214 sq miles so the entire state would fit in Harris County.👍👍
The largest county in Texas is Brewster Co (west TX) and it covers 9, 232 sq miles 😱
More fun facts: El Paso is closer to Southern California than it is to Eastern Texas. Some cities in the north of Texas are closer to Chicago than to cities in South Texas.
You can put 2 1/2 Texas in the state of Alaska.

And the Longhorn Network and UTs giant ego is what is ruining the Big 12, so again, nice try. Nebraska and Colorado left because of the Favoritism by the conference towards UT and OU and its honestly probably the reason A&M and Missouri left too.

@@coolguyyt4070 still leans blue
@@bryfunkenstein that doesn't mean there are more liberals than conservatives. There is probably more conservatives than liberals in the greater houston area because democrats relay on moderates to push them over the edge.
@@coolguyyt4070 or maybe...just maybe..conservatives here know a shitty candidate no matter what side they are on and vote accordingly.
Harris County (Houston) preferred Hillary by 12% in 2016. Yet you plastered Trump's face over the city.
In 2018, every Texas city (plus the Border counties) went even more Democratic.
I am watching your every Unboxing State. Finally a CZcams channel who is making a video on every U.S state. Keep up the good work.
To anyone who has never been to Texas: As a life long proud Texan, I clicked on this video as a skeptic to see what it had to say. To my shock, I can honestly say this video (though a little cheesy) is surprisingly accurate. I didn’t disagree with any of it. Especially how hot and miserable Houston is in the summertime..... I mean DAMN! Just don’t even bother going there. Good video. Very accurate and fair.
A real Texan can take the heat in Houston. Just saying.
