  • Okay, y’all: I just parked my truck outside a Whataburger off I-35 and this guy with a Cowboys jersey walked by singing my favorite Willie song and then outta nowhere a thunderstorm rolled in, the temperature dropped by 20 degrees; and then by the time I got home to do this video, it was back in the 90s.
    Yep, that’s right, folks. Today, we’re heading to Texas.
    Well buckle up, cowboy, because today we’re showing you what it's like living in Texas - and the Lonestar state is a hell of a lot bigger than any little ol’ city. In fact, Texas is bigger than many countries combined.
    So if you're thinking of moving to Texas, you've come to the right spot.

    I know for a fact if people get out of hand. Texas is Brutal and have our own instant Justice System, we look out for one another. We don’t look for troubles, we live life to the fullest, we love our space, most importantly we are all individual problem solvers. All Native Texas are like this and will never admit.

      when I was in college up at NTSU, I worked with a woman from NY. She and her husband had come to Denton so he could study jazz. She said once that they were going to go to LA over the Memorial Day long weekend. She was depressed when we told her that they could not make it out to LA and back in four days (they were going to take an extra day). At least not and spend any time in LA. We said "the bad news is that you'll drive for a day and not even be out of the state yet; the good news is that at the end of the day, you'll be halfway to LA."

    I'm a Black dude, and I have to agree.
    I was a registered Democrat all my life and I realized people in the blue states are garbage and rude as hell.
    I thought being rude was normal behavior until I visited Texas, Georgia, Idaho, and Iowa and I LOVED the people there.
    People in red states are nice, kind, and most importantly Considerate of others. I've never seen this before.
    I grew up in the Washington DC area and I NEVER made a single friend at all, they accused me of being too nice!
    I hated it! I see why the Nice red states are afraid of the blue infections. If your state has to remain red in order to maintain your kind charm so be it. I left the democratic party years ago and now I'm a libertarian. Peace and stay kind Texas!

      You’ve heard of acting, right? Conservatives are known to be conservative (selfish only). Not everyone likes showing their REAL attitude or how much pain they are in out in the open socially. Texas is still cool, though. I have no issue with it. But people in red states aren’t nicer. Get real.

    • @matthogue1386
      @matthogue1386 Před rokem +16

      I'd have to agree.
      I'm a wildland firefighter who goes all over the country. The nastiest people I've ever dealt with were in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York State, and southern Michigan.
      The nicest have been in the Carolinas, Montana, Georgia, Tx, Wisconsin and North Michigan (Above the Mackinaw bridge). Oregon, California, and Washington had people just wanting to be left alone, not really nice, not really rude; A different culture, would be the best way to put it.
      The first places I listed, the people are just generally angry, at everyone and about everything, if they see you, you're treated like you've somehow wronged them, when I lived in CT, I was treated like an absolute piece of garbage just for being there.
      But the red states, you show up and most of the time, you get treated like an old friend, which was very odd to me but it is a thing! Some folks are kind of hard to get away from sometimes... haha

    • @iamsam10001
      @iamsam10001 Před 5 lety +12

      @Saul Abrego Maybe you're right. But the point is every big city has the same problem. It's not a Austin and Houston specific problem . But compared to Toronto where I live, the livability in Texas cities are much better. The Greater Toronto Area has a population of over 6 million yet we still have only one major highway in the city and it's literally the busiest highway in the world. The infrastructure here is peanuts compared to Texas. That's what I was saying.

    To anyone who has never been to Texas: As a life long proud Texan, I clicked on this video as a skeptic to see what it had to say. To my shock, I can honestly say this video (though a little cheesy) is surprisingly accurate. I didn’t disagree with any of it. Especially how hot and miserable Houston is in the summertime..... I mean DAMN! Just don’t even bother going there. Good video. Very accurate and fair.

      A real Texan can take the heat in Houston. Just saying.
