Hello there!
I hope everyone's been doing good and staying as safe as possible. The covid situation in Brazil seems to only get worse, oh boy... Things will be fine though, this will pass! So, in this video I talk about my entire current process for making an illustration. I hope this can be helpful to some of you! Oh and also! I don't know if it's that noticeable, but I got a microphone! Until a couple days ago I was recording voiceovers with my phone HEHEH but i decided it would be better to invest in something with a better quality than that... It was one of the cheapest options, but hey! It does the job! Anywho, I hope you like this video and I'll see you in my next one! I was thinking of making more videos with casual voiceovers, like some simple advice... Let me know if there's a specific theme you'd like to hear me talk about!
☆ Brushes I like the most:
The one I use basically the whole video ( Hoarse oil ):

Why does everyone's sketches look so good and then I look at my tablet and go ah, yes.
*A poorly drawn circle*
Same though
Practice , Time, and Careful Study
bc they have years more practice , experience, studying than you. don’t beat yourself up, you’ll get there!!
jgkdbgkjd nooo I totally get what you mean though, that's how I feel when seeing sketches from artists I admire :,) Just keep in mind that you will always compare yourself to someone else, so don't let that stop you from creating!
Good artists almost only ever show their best drawings. So of course it’s going to look good. But for every one great drawing they also have thousands of crappy ones so don’t feel bad! Lol
Bro your digital art is just as good as your traditional art! It really inspires me to work on my digital art
Its so nice and reassuring to see someone actually struggle with a sketch to be honest. SO many videos i watch it seems like it goes from a quick sketch to a full art work and in a way i feel like i struggle too much. Because they always make it look so simple. So thank you for such a detailed drawing process!
I feel you!!! It's okay if you struggle, as long as you're happy with the final product! Your process is what made you get there, after all!
Oh my goodness I am a 15 year old artist and I’ve been looking into buying clip studio to take my art to the next level, and your review was the little push I needed! Thank you 💙
Waa you go!! Good luck on your art journey, and I hope you enjoy your new tools! hehe
@@milkywaes thank you so much!!! I’ve been loving it so far and your art is one of the things that is keeping me inspired!
i bought clip studio a few years ago at 17 or so and its such a good program ! enjoy ! im still learnin lil tricks at 23
I’m not sure if someone’s already said this, but if you connect a keyboard to your iPad (it doesn’t have to be the apple keyboard), you can set and use keyboard shortcuts in clip studio! Just in case you want to keep the touchscreen but add on keyboard shortcuts
I just found you but all I can think about is how incredible your painterly process looks. Honestly, your style really hits home with me with its blocky rendering and anime-esque features! 🤯😳
waa thank you!! I want my art to be fun and refreshing to look at, so mixing cartoony features with anime and fun painting styles is what I'm trying to get better at!
i've missed you waes!! as always your art is amazing
aaaa thank you!! I'll try to make more casual videos of speedpaints while talking about stuff on the background!
Bro I got csp recently, and while it took me a bit to get used to a new program, I absolutely adore it. The design pencil is my lifeline rn. Swag vid as always 😎😎
It's so nice to see an artist talk about the struggles of creating, that making mistakes is okay and because no one is perfect and everyone is learning we should be able to trust the process even in the hardest times of creating💙I use clip studio on my computer and I love the recording speedpaint feature
YAAAY another video!!! I love them sm there so chill :)
ooh, you're back! I'm super happy, the vid is super relaxing and your art is wonderful :D
I’ve never been so joyful about an upload 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

This is one of your best pieces! I love this!
You explain so well! It’s really amazing i think this video has taught me about drawing much more that any other i have seen (i love your art btw♡)
Love seeing you're digital art process. 😍
this really helped me figuring out how to use clip studio and blending, your video is really inspiring thank you!
This is sooooooooooo cool! I love your honesty and transparency :)
:) Glad to see another video! Keep being amazing!
Eeek i love your style soooo much!
waes your words are always so good and helpful, especially when it comes to explaining process and such, like the perspective and also comparing your values to a figurine :0 i own a few and that is SO smart ! anyhow, i really appreciate you being real, and as always, encouraging other artists that they can do what you do. :) you very skilled and always changing/growing as an artist.
your art is so lovely and inspiring to me!! I love your anatomy so much Q ^ Q
i absolutely LOVE your art style
You do such good art 😭
your art work is just sooooo cute i love it!!!!!
Why is this video SOOO satisfying to watch? Really i spiring :0✨
HOLY CRAP I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS VIDEOOO aaa this is amazing love the illustration!
love this piece and your art style !! I’m glad you included that part about not idolizing artists you admire, I definitely am guilty of that. What are your thoughts on procreate?
Her earlier videos are on procreate
@@quintessential8361 ty, I’ll check them out ;)
Heyo! I'm glad u liked my little advice :,) We're all guilty of it though, it okie! And I love procreate! It's basically the most perfect a drawing and painting app can get, and they keep updating it with new features! I'd like to work on my computer and get used to industry terms though, so I'm getting to know Clip Studio on my Ipad so that the final transition to a computer and a drawing tablet will be smoother hehe
Another masterpiece, Looks awesome, your drawing looks great, 😍
aaaaaa waes ur art inspires me soooo frikin much i love u🥺🥺🥺🥺
what a pleasure to watch and also i learrrnnnneddd i love it
ai giulia como eu amo os seus vídeos e tudo o q vc faz 🥺🥺

I absolutely love your art!!
These colors are so beautiful
Omg hiii :3 missed your videos a lot
Thanks for Including the Sketch process. I often get frustrated when trying to figure out the pose and making the character cohesive, I feel like I'm taking too long or maybe I should just scrap it as a whole, but to see you also struggle reassures me that I'm on the right track.
YOU'RE BACK ily
OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE
Hey I love this video thank you for sharing. After struggling artist when other artists explain the process just so I know that I'm not the only person that struggles mightily
I love your art style
Thank you for uploading!!
I'm so happy to have a new video! so tasty and relaxing
I tried that brush (Hoarse oil) a long time ago and damn it! What a complicated brush to control (for me), also, your video is amazing !, and you told pure truths about experienced artists can also suffer a lot, thank you!
Oh my!! Hoarse Oil is my favorite brush, we just hit it off so well!
this is everything
dayum amazing painting skill
Gorgeous 😍✨
Ah this so lovley!
This is your most relatable video, I always take so long on my sketches... 🤣
Hehe I'm glad it's relatable! Some of my sketches come out so easily and effortlessly, but a lot of them I actually really struggle with... It's usually not a bad feeling though, I think it's exciting trying to find solutions to the problems that keep appearing in the illustration hehe
this helped me so much
yay fith coment, i loveee your drawings >< its soooooooo cuteeee
Aaaaaaah adoro seus vídeos :/)
I love Nendoroids! And I have considered using them as references for my art.
I love it!!
God tier drawing skills
i saw a thicc brown lady that wasnt in the mirror and I'm here
That was actually really smooth HELL YEA
OMG DARLIN' I MISSED YOUU 🥺🥺💝💝✨
the nikingply wallpaper... immaculate taste
My favorite artist at the moment!!!!! Dude's a genius......
wow so nice :D
In case you didn't already know, there are graphics tablets for PC that also have touch functionality. I'd recommend looking into it if you really want to keep that element of your workflow intact!
hi waes! :D happy to watch another video from u
Oh my, this is one of the sweetest most wholesome comments I've ever gotten!!! I'm so happy to be a part of such a warm memory... (sobs) Hope you guys are safe during these times!! Oh, and this is the EX version! Apparently the pro version has animation features, and I don't really care for that, so the EX works perfectly fine for me!
Helloo!! Nice drawing as alwayss~ I wanna add something. I, too, use clip studio paint for tablets and you can connect bluetooth keyboard and you can still use shortcuts.
beautiful!! and also i loved the music, some of it looks like brasilian bossa nova
Hell yea! It's intentional, I love Bossa Nova :,)
impressive shapes
Really nice to see all the process and see you don't have to be fast to have a nice result. How much time do you take to do everything in this art?
Seus traços são lindos dms pqp😍
Nem deve ter entendido kkkkkkk
ela é brasileira sksjsk
Amado? Sou br de raíz aqui po, me respeita >:( hehe brimks, obrigadaça pelo elogio!!!
That figurines tip was amazing! I'm gonna try it out next time I draw humans!
Do it! It's a game changer for me, honestly
A caneca transparente denunciando a Brasileira! haha amo seus desenhos❤️
i was wondering when was the next time you would upload. i miss your videos they’re so calming
Aaah não sabia que vc era brasileira :0
A propósito, amei o desenho, ficou lindo 💕💕
Man these look awesome, I just wish procreate on ipad can support ex when you have it.
Deixando comment pra dar aquele engajamento
po aí sim pedrin
You draw really well on the graphic.Have a happy day.~~~♡★☆♡♥♥
Aw thank you!! You too, have a happy day :,)
14:18 “bye bye!” That was so cute
Consider getting an 8BitDo Zero and mapping its buttons to use with CSP. That way, you can have tangible ‘hot keys’ similar to a keyboard and keep your touchscreen (and save a ton of money). For really good instructions on how to set up the controller with your iPad and CSP, I suggest watching Limo Channel’s video “How to use an 8BitDo Zero 2 controller with Clip Studio Paint on iPad.”
Before you make such a big decision about getting a tablet, you should know that you can get Bluetooth keyboards for you iPad and still use the shortcuts. They work with both csp and procreate...
Hi Waes! When you draw, what is your normal size format? I never know how big or what the right size to post artwork. Also, your art is so lovely and inspiring!
You make me wanna draw again
I like how you say silhouette.
try adding rim lighting maybe on parts of half of the body where light is touching it brings every painting so much more value
You should try procreate as well! It’s a really great program that is easy to use for even beginners but has a lot of potential too!!
finally😏😏
More digital art PLEASE
Women are naturally gifted at recognizing colors and making different decisions in the drawing process.
This is why they are preferred in Japan as anime colorists.
So it's over.
when waes posts- its a very very wonderful day
ACKkkk i love your artstyle sm!!💖🤧..
btw i wanna ask if csp on ipad also has the timelapse feature?👉👈 or noO?*v*
AA thank you!! It does have it actually!! Well, acording to the people who have tried it because I haven't yet hehe
can you show how you organize your clip studio? btw Cute drawing :D!
Such a beautiful drawing!! ty for the video it was so helpful! Btw do you think using a better tablet makes any difference when drawing?
Heyo! Hmm, I'm not sure as I haven't really used many tablets in my life? I think "good" is really subjective, because it's more about the tablet covering your personal needs. For example, I like lineart, so having a precise cursor positioning is very important to me, so a screen tablet with parallax wouldn't be ideal. A laminated screen tablet has less parallax, so that's what I prefer. I also didn't get along too well with non display tablets, so what I had most accessible to me at the time, that also covered my needs to make art was the IPad Pro. That's not true for everyone though! I have a friend who likes non display tablets better than display ones! People who prefer digital painting over digital lineart dont mind the parallax that much! So it really depends on what tablet covers your needs, and then you can invest more as time goes by~
Your art is amazing! I wanted to ask how you determine where to put warmer tones on the edge of your shadows?
Thank you so much!! Hmm, I believe you're talking about subsurface scattering! It has to do with the way the light interacts with the object, and how it penetrates it, creating those saturated hues on the edge of a couple shadows. Not all shadows have that saturated edge though, it depends on the angle that the light hits the object! I honestly dont know much about it myself, so I recommend you do your research on it, now that you know the name of the phenomenom!
@@milkywaes Thanks!
Hello! Your art is very inspirational, and I like ur technique but, how do u switch your painting on and off grayscale?
