  • The best things often happen spontaneous! When I met Michal and Karol at my field we decided to make some tandem flights and they even teached me to fly a FPV drone! My new friends chased me with their drones to shoot some (electric powered) bird perspective footage. Strong wind on our first AND second meeting did not help. Our M4 video with inverted flight starts at 5:27! We had to fly very unspectacular on these first tandem flights of my life to not risk midair collisions of our precious toys. Thank you Michal for the beautiful editing and adding the music! Please don't get used to this editing standard! Thanks as well for trusting me to let me fly your AVATA drone! Now I really have much more respect for FPV drone pilots. Having these FPV Goggles over my eyes and not seeing a drone that flying was close to me was really challenging!
    Check inverted flight from 5.27!!

@Rcheliguy Thank you! We had to fly very, very conservative taking care of distance to eachother to get everything down in one piece. The strong wind was not really helpful!! All the best!

@RubenRC94 Thank you Ruben! Yes, both look fantastic in the sky! I love the view from above on the rotor disc! We all 3 were flying extremely careful because of the extreme wind on both days! Keeping distance, communication what we will do next. It was fun!!

Congratulation to this very special video; this aerial views look great, especially when you fly inverted or flips with your M4s. But also to see you and the flying M4 from the sky is fantastic.

@jupi-aladin Thank you very much! I am glad you like the aerial views! We had to be really very careful because we have met for the first time! So the outcome was a surprise! But I felt at once trust to Michal and Karol. They are great drone pilots! To fly by muself with goggles was a strange feeling. I did not feel distance, speed, direction. It takes for sure a lot of practice to be good in FPV flying. I am more happy with my helis and watching how the fly.

This was a great video…lots of fun getting to see the air-to-air footage of the M4’s. I’m looking forward to doing some of this myself one day. Take care my friend!

@t.s.thomas02 Thank you very much Thomas! It was very much fun to do these flights with two very good pilots I just met moments before. But the strong wind (look at the grass before takeoff) was causing that there was an element of adrenaline. Although we were flying carefully like never! Can't wait to see you coming videos!!

Some VERY cool shots of first M4 in particular I thought. That one where the Heli and Drone look like they will meet nose to nose as the drone glides right in front of it while keeping the Heli in view the whole time is my Favorite! That flying sight looks IDEAL for learning. All that tall grass! Are there certain times of the season when the wind dies down? Great Vid Matthias!

@AnythingEverythingRC Thank you! I love this shot with the drone and my M4 Max so close as well very much! My heart was pumping a lot in this moment! Since a couple of weeks we have very strong winds every day. I got used to it but I hope the wind will calm down one day. The landings are the most difficult because just the gusty wind picks the heli up one meter in one second and throws it down one meter in the next. I always start my landing approach with some time feft in my battery. Thats why it took so long in the first video to bring my M4 Max down safe. Lets hope for at least some calm days!
